A desire to be free of the wills of the "strong" and to throw off the yoke of society's expectations. To live truly independently and without restraint. This is all she's ever wanted.

friends Friendship requires a certain amount of trust, and Yvette's stores of that particular sentiment have been short since she could walk. Always concerned someone is either secretly an enemy or oblivious enough to expose her to one -- Yvette is slow to just treat someone decently, much less warmly. To her others are weaknesses, sleeping enemies, or manipulators biding their time. She's certain everyone wants something and she's resolved herself not to be it. That said she's had things like friends. Her comrades in Unova and the fellow Rockets here in Hoenn; but those are shallow relationships built on convenience. They're people nearby fighting the same fight, it's only natural to try to get along at least a little bit.

enemies Yvette is unpleasant. There's just no two ways about it. Aggressive, overly blunt, infrequently washed, and always reeking of cigarette smoke and fast food. She's distrusting of others as a rule and responds poorly to even the most minor of criticisms lobbed in her direction. Put all this together and you get a girl not only easy to hate, but who easily hates others in kind. The traits she hates in others are a mile long and the traits others hate in her may very well be longer.

loves If friendship is all about trust, love is all about vulnerability and (wouldn't ya know it!) Yvette's not very good at that either. She has never been emotionally intimate with another person, much less been in a relationship. Her childhood was too restricted, her early and mid teens too chaotic, and now she's simply too guarded. The Fear of Being Known(tm) is especially strong for Yvette and so she avoids any threat of it like a plague. That said she knows she likes women and she's had a few physical encounters, but that's as close to something resembling love as she's ever gotten. I'm open to playing with this category but know we're talking a slow, slow burn.
