"... the holon region was inhabited by humans who wished to search for the elusive mirage pokémon, mew. establishing a city (called holon city), scientists utilized the unique magnetic properties of the area to produce waves of electromagnetic energy via a large tower in the city center to track the location of mew. the resulting electromagnetic waves caused the local pokémon to mutate into abnormal types inconsistent with their genes elsewhere, with their highest evolved forms typically having metal as a type."[break][break]

HOLON, secluded and untouched, had belonged solely to his people for centuries. And, though they, too, had been foreigners to its borders at the start, the Holonites had learned to respect the pokémon they co-existed with and the bounties of nature they shared. Under the watchful eye of the SHOGUN and the JUNGLE CAT POKÉMON, they had lived in peace... until the foreign scientists arrived.[break][break]

Bringing advanced technology and a militia of experienced trainers under their command, the foreigners built a great machine that disrupted the natural order of things. Plants and pokémon native to the region mutated and sometimes even died. seemingly 'natural' disasters began to occur with increasing frequency. The jungle cat disappeared.[break][break]

When they realized they would need more time to fine tune their machine, the scientists built a small city for themselves they dubbed 'Holon City' and firmly entrenched themselves within it as they continued running their experiments. The Holonites entered a dispute with them that eventually led to a skirmish, but unfortunately the technological advantage of their opponent (and their militia) proved to be too much to stand up against.[break][break]

But his people would not give in so easily. Choosing him, Estilo Oda— son of the Shogun Nuerhachi Oda— as their champion, they would smuggle him onto a plane departing for the home region of the lead scientist, Cassius Beckett. Unaware of where he was going or even how far, Estilo carried only his trusty pokémon with him before finally arriving in the region of Hoenn. After being detained by League officials and registered as a foreign diplomat, Estilo was encouraged to make a plea to the council for the protection of his people and his homeland.[break][break]

Distrustful of these foreigners in high positions of power, however, he has yet to make an official plea... instead siding with Team Rocket to make quick money and smuggle all kind of technology and intel back to his people...[break][break]
