This was beginning to be a royal pain in the ass. But still, Rikiya found himself in line, behind other hopefuls. With each attempt came another death. At this point, he was wondering just how long it would take for someone to finally win. Hell, he doubted that he would ever do it. But something compelled him to try, regardless. Well, if he wasn’t so stubborn about winning the prize that came along with it, he wouldn’t be coming back here. But word had gotten out that there were several who came so close only to be shafted at the last second…

…so of course with the prospect of all those shinies, Zimavich was back again. After watching the last person get vaporized into a million pixels, he knew it was his turn. Sighing, he squared his shoulders once more and walked up to the rock, eyeing the hilt suspiciously.

He didn't even know what the reward was all he knew was that he was vexed he couldn't pull it out yesterday, and that was something that he couldn't stand for. [attr="class","athread"] It was time to start wondering what exactly she was even doing this for. Pulling the sword out of the stone? What a stupid gimmick. At first she thought it was clever, perhaps a bit funny to watch people attempt over and over again, but this was starting to become absolutely silly.

How many times has she tried already? Five? Six? She lost count already, it was silly. And despite her newfound annoyance with it, she fully expected that she'd be trying this every single day anyways until it worked. Perhaps it was just a test of perseverance, but she was doubtful. It was probably just completely arbitrary. With a sigh, Ruby reached over and gave it a firm tug once more.

katherine wasn't entirely sure if this was her sixth or seventh attempt at the same quest. the only one she seems to have failed at so far. this damn honedge. at this point, it felt like a daily routine to come here just to test the sword and see how it felt. perhaps now, twenty four hours after her last attempt, it'll feel different about her. it was wishful thinking, sure, but it beats accepting failure.

He'd gripped the blade longer than most during his first go around. He knew as much, considering he'd been waiting in queue to try again for the last ten minutes, and paid witness to many fall one after another. Not one to give in so easily, the dragon knight was here to cast another attempt in himself.

Quite frankly, he'd been surprised by the 'harm' he'd felt from the Honedge. Primarily because it felt very real. Not many had experienced having their life drained away by a Honedge. Not many who had survived to tell the tale, anyway. So he imagined someone who did had provided good information to the developers of the game.

Shaking away the thought for now, however, Remiel was quick to proceed forward after a pop-up notification let him know it was his time. Without an ounce of hesitation, despite knowing full well what to expect, he wrapped his fingers around the blade and gave it a good tug as he felt the spirit within it come to life once more.

Adrian had been chaffed and sulky over dying in the Infinite Tower earlier that day after a pair of players showed up during a separate altercation. He would've thought he stood a chance, but looking back on it, he hadn't invested any of his skills or talents yet. Which was his own fault.

Planning to log off soon, his clock had caught his eye around 11:51 PM which had meant one thing; Better get my daily in before I log off tonight...

Trudging his way towards the sword-in-the-stone, time elapses until it was just barely past midnight.

Death was almost certain, but what'd he have to lose at this point anyways? He'd begin to heft...
