the desert is a dangerous area for an electric-type ranger such as him. he can probably handle his own, but it was always better to be safe than sorry.

he scrolls through his friend list, trying to look for someone to invite. both fernando and bailey seemed to be too busy grinding last night and wouldn't wake up this early in the morning. he sees noah and adrian online, but he assumes that the two of them were together and he doesn't want to bother them.

at least there's chance, who probably still maintains a healthy life style of not staying up until sunrise. he chats him up and sends him a quick invitation.

he sends his location to the fighter before promptly switching to his inventory screen. he equips ice-typed arrows along with the best defensive gear. ground-types have a lot of aoe moves after all, and dodging all of them would require him to use scripts, which he doesn't want to do.

A few moments later the female avatar spawned within the area, directly beside the archer. On the female avatars end, the sound of a rustling headset and microphone could be heard. "Pika Pi...?" Pikachu speaks into the microphone, the sound of typing upon a keyboard soon to follow directly afterwards.

he can barely handle chance's showy nature as opposed to his meeker one. surprisingly, he gets along with him well enough. his pikachu, however, was something else he cannot comprehend.

he was pretty sure that the pikachu was experimented on and escaped some kind of experimentation. this level of intelligence shouldn't be legal, especially if it talks like this online.

chance's avatar comes to view and kyle sends a party invite immediately. as soon as he gets a confirmation, he quickly turns his weapon to a pokemon behind him, shooting a krookodile with air slash. when it doesn't die in one hit, kyle immediately follows it up with an auto attack.

"i got like thirty minutes until i need to log out. we can make a dent out of my xp bar with that, i think. are you close to leveling too?"

the sound of a gaming controller hitting the surface of a desk followed by the quick tapping of keyboard keys.

Making it clear to Kyle that he didn't want these 'Pika-Problems', he emotes one finally time before turning his attention to the wild Pokémon who had made them the center of their aggression a few seconds prior to the keyboard typing. With the special ability of this female avatar, Kyle didn't have to worry about missing any attack, so the move used on the Pokémon would hit the mark clean while Pikachu took care of his Pokémon with a brutal Close Combat that completely obliterated the creature. "Pika!" Another emote towards Kyle as a clear sign of congratulations for the nice kill.
