not wanting to take the risk of getting too close to the edge, she uses DETECT to pinpoint its location. she darts to the side as a pigeotto bursts out from the depths, splintering the wooden planks she had once been standing on. before it can fly off, she grabs hold of its wing and uses FREEZE-DRY, immobilising it.

it's easy work from there.

without hesitation she dives straight in with FREEZE-DRY, but finds her fists only making contact with solid air. the pokemon knew protect.
