there wasn't a lot to do in avia except for hoping that a boss will appear in the masses of boring, mundane mobs katherine had encountered so far.

however... it seemed as if she'll have to share this bridge today. ah. a shame. sharing a loot was never something she particularly liked. "hi," she throws a wave in the direction of the other girl. "it's nice knowing i won't be here by myself." there isn't a hint given that can suggest that kat was lying.

and already it appears as if the mobs have spawned.

good. she didn't have time to waste. and neither did this other player, apparently, as a shadow ball is already sent towards one of the drifblim. katherine, however, doesn't attempt to pursue the other one. not immediately at least. she clicks on the option to add iris to her party first-- then she acts.

mana is charged into her wand as a large icicle falls from the skies above, as if articuno itself was here to punish the ghost-type for sneaking on them. for a new game, the graphics were fairly impressive. "not bad. but those normal mobs are pretty boring."

"don't expect anything better than this though." mob hunting was tedious at the worst of times; it was probably the reason rare drops were so rewarding. a fluttering wing catches her eye.

iris was probably right.

expecting anything better than these mobs was setting herself up failure. the lucky ones were hard to find. the mini-bosses? they had such a small percentage of spawning rate that farming them wasn't something one could even do, but only hope. ugh. regardless, kat charges more mana and ice magic into her wand, blasting one of the masquerain with an ice beam.

[attr="class","ithread"][attr="class","brawler"]it was fair enough, everyone who played was banking on getting that lucky break. iris has run into a mini-boss before she'd even known what they were (and, thankfully, managed to come out victorious). she aims another FREEZE-DRY at one of the incoming swellow and then, once they are alone and waiting for the next spawns, "how long have you been playing for?"
