Dragon’s Day



It is the eighth Interval. After decades of stability and peace the dragons of Telgar Weyr were struck by a mysterious illness that came and went and left all the dragons alive and healthy except that now it seemed the golds couldn’t breed. They would rise again and again and yet would not lay clutches. Political pressure mounted on the Telgari leaders to bring in a transfer as the Pass crept closer and the most recent clutch slipped further back into memory. Finally the junior queen Toendath did start to lay again, though her offspring are markedly smaller than they ought to be for their rank. One of those offspring, gold Ativith, recently rose for her maiden flight and shocked some by choosing a brown for her mate. Now the Weyr looks over her dozen eggs with mingled hope and misgivings. Do these eggs signal the end of Telgar’s fertility woes? Or will the hatchlings be negatively affected by having such a small mother and a brown father? Or could something even stranger be on the horizon?

Dragon’s Day is a semi-canon Dragon Riders of Pern RP with a fun but unobtrusive plot intended as a springboard for member-driven stories. We’ll be gradually introducing a set of non-canon ranks, and these will not come with predetermined roles or even names; these things will be up for characters to determine ICly. We do not factor gender into Impressions and anticipate that most hatchings will be member-run. Indeed, we currently have a goldrider available for adoption, as well as many open leadership spots. We have a relaxed policy towards character types (no requirements are needed for gold flits or HADs, for example) and try to promote a fun, laid-back atmosphere generally. We welcome those who are new to Pern RP or have been out of the fandom for a while, with extensive guides to help you find your feet. We are an 18+ site hosted on Jcink premium.
