VERDANTURF GYM has been repurposed into a fitness gym under noah faber's direction. although he is new to the profession, his rigorous tutelage under kyle lopez and his progress as a league cadet has provided him with the opportunity to assume the position of gym leader.[break][break]

oocly, shiv has decided to claim a gym leader spot to ensure there is a steady, consistent gym leader available throughout the site's lifespan.[break][break]

all fights will be held within an enclosed caged ring. in other words, battles will be a cage match with trainers circling the outside perimeter. there is little distance between your pokemon and noah's at any given time; however, pokemon may take advantage of the chain-link walls and ceiling for additional movement options.[break][break]

lastly, shiv's style of battle rp is what creates the best story, emotional highs and lows, character/pkmn development, etc.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE

TO TEACH YOUR TRAINER and their pokemon how to handle close-quarters combat, where retreat by air or ground may not be possible. winners of the gym battle will receive the knockout badge, proving proficiency in the aforementioned objective.

FORMAT: TRADITIONAL

RULES

The following moves are banned from use: destiny bond and perish song. This is standard for most if not all gyms, even for traditional formats.[break][break]

Next, if the thread is waiting for a post from the gym challenger for a long time or if the challenger's player falls into long stretches of inactivity, then the gym challenge will be at risk of sudden archival.
