He really couldn’t pick it out, but to be honest, it was something that made him want to go out and search once more.[break][break]

To be fair, he was getting really close with completing his own wish list of Pokémon, and he had a few more that he was hoping to cross out of said list. He had so many Pokémon at this point already he wasn’t sure what he was going to do if he ever fancied any more.[break][break]

Anyway, the rest I’m looking for are already the ones that fit the Flying-theme, so… he thought to himself as he wandered around close to where the Daycare was located. He knew he was going to be picking up his Scorbunny soon—but that time hadn’t arrived yet. Either way…[break][break]

He was now on the lookout for two particular Pokémon. Arceus willing he managed to find them.

The first thing he saw was… well, shit.[break][break]

“You look like a Grimer but at the same time you’re not a Grimer, I don’t understand…” he muttered as he watched the clearly-green Grimer slosh by, dripping noxious liquid in its path.[break][break]

Yikes, this smells even worse than the normal, purple-colored Grimer! He thought in the back of his mind.[break][break]

Nope, there was no way in hell he was going to get caught within the hitbox of the Grimer’s clearly terrifying stench. Holding up his hand to his face, he quickly backpedaled and went in a different direction.[break][break]

What had he gone into and why had he encountered that particular Pokémon? He would never understand, or even know. All he knew was that he had to get away from the place as fast as possible.

The second encounter of the day had Alexei looking around. He thought he could hear something making a loud screeching noise.[break][break]

The thing is, he already had a Mandibuzz of his own, and he knew as much as anyone that they were rather… territorial, in a way. They also could not stand the sight of another Vullaby of their kind in the same territorial swath, so there was that to consider as well.[break][break]

“Sadly, no,” he continued with a sigh as he gave the little Vullaby a wide berth. “Go find your destined companion, little one. It’s not me,” he added a few moments later before continuing deeper into the area.[break][break]

Now, where was that dual-type he was looking for? He hoped he would be able to find it soon. Otherwise he would have to book a trip to the Great Desert just to find Cacnea in their natural habitat…

Alexei was pretty sure he wasn’t near any body of water, so what the hell was going on with…[break][break]

That was strange. How the hell did a Carvanha end up all the way out here? He could only tilt his head at it in utter, bloody confusion.[break][break]

“Wait, how did you get out here?” he inquired, tilting his head to one side and wondering what kind of freak accident had happened for a known Water-type to actually surface on land and start terrorizing him.[break][break]

“WHOA!” he yelped a few moments later as he leapt out of the way, the Carvanha coming in close with a Double-Edge attack. “Fine, have it your way then,” he added a few seconds afterward as he flicked a Moon Ball forward and watched as a Lucario came out from the flash of red light.[break][break]

“Keep it fast! We have to keep searching somewhere else!” he continued, as the Lucario got into position before waiting for the Carvanha to come in once again with another reckless Double-Edge attack. Meeting it head-on with a Force Palm attack, the Lucario spun around before aiming a quick Counter right as it had retaliated with a Take Down attack.[break][break]

“Careful!” he called out as the Lucario took the brunt of the attack, before the power rebounded double back on the Carvanha. Seeing that the reckless Carvanha had fallen, Alexei then fished out an empty Pokéball and threw it at the fallen dual-type before giving the Lucario a fist bump in congratulations for taking the weird fish out.[break][break]

Confused, the Lucario stared at the gesture, before returning it.[break][break]
