“so tonight,” valerio looks down and puts eggnog from her carrier into the countertop. “you’re gonna help me make dinner.”

excitement can be heard from his voice and his whistling as he peels the vegetables and slices the meat for the curry. togepi watches him with curious eyes as she resigns herself to a dance. without knowing, the trainer cuts himself from chopping. “oh, shit.”

he rushes into the medicine cabinet to find an alcohol and gauze but when goes back to the pantry, the burning smell of cooking welcomes him as he struggle to save his food. but it can no longer be saved.

“man, we’re looking at a 100 dollar wasted dinner,” he looks at togepi who returns a curious gaze as valerio sighs and rewches for his pocket instead. “i guess we just have to order pizza. man, you’re so unlucky.”

man, it is indeed a bad idea to watch sad movies with sobble. valerio just realizes as he pulls out the last of the tissue roll from his dispenser to give to patrick, who has been flooding his lap with tears after bingewatching the last episode of ano hana.

“patrick,” he lifts it off in front of him as he gives a judging stare to a teary-eyed chameleon. “you should grow up already. you know it’s just an anime.”

patrick responds with even more crying as lincoln releases a fire blast flavored with irritation and exasperation, trying to sleep in the middle of the night.

who says it’s a bad idea to make an alolan exeggutor help in the kitchen? its long neck makes everything faster since it covers a lot of distance for a short period of time.

the problem is...

“no, no, no, no, stop! his hands move to push back the coconut-like faces of the exeggutor away from his boiling pot. “we’re still cooking, coat. you can’t eat that raw!”

valerio can already tell it's a bad idea to make dee and dum watch togepi on her sleep. the thing is, misfortune continues to linger around the egg pokémon that her trainer is starting to realize if the shadowfication is indeed a late success rather than a flop.

his guess is revealed in the morning when the dratinis' tails are coiled to one another, both baby dragons trying to slither away from each other as the togepi sounds asleep.

valerio's apartment is uncharacteristically quiet than it used to be. with a lot of his pokemons gone during the culling that is still a bit unexplainable, he settles on his bed quietly with togepi and sobble on his side. the redhead wonders if there's an afterlife for pokemons, will his be running happily with him eventually even after sacrificing them so they can survive?

“probably not.” he cuddles the two baby pokemons to sleep.

“What kind of diet do you usually take?”

As much as the question seems stupid when asked to a 13-feet legendary bat creature, he takes the time to consider what will he be feeding to Voldemort. He figures with the size of them, they will need a ton of food to be full. But then again, it seems like the Lunala has no stomach to digest anything they are taking. He scratches his head as the pokemon just snuggles to him despite its gigantic breadth.

EXHIBIT: POST #9

There is sadness with the way Valerio looks at jupiter. It was one of his newly acquired pokemon until the Blackout of Slateport, forcing the little swablu to evolve into the shadow altaria that it is today.

The avian dragon is not fond of human touch, but it still address his trainer everytime he goes to the Umbrarium.
