Rangi stood on the counter top staring out at the already-bustling cafe and grinned. This was exactly his area of expertise. Even if it was a tad earlier than he would have preferred. But he had a little bowtie tied around his neck and he was looking classy as hell and one girl already cooed over him. This was it. As people filed into the cafe and settled into their seats, Rangi darted across table tops, pausing briefly to wink or twitch his nose. Then he would dart away, a chorus of awws following him. Back at the bar, he piled a couple of saucers onto a tray, slipped the tray onto his head, and took a moment to carefully balance. One latte and one cappuccino to table three. The cafe owners, bless them, had installed a couple of ramps to the counter. He scooted his way down the ramp and carefully trundled out to the table in question. The customers there sighed happily. "Oh my god you're so cute." Rangi gave a little chuu as they took their drinks. He took his time, letting them fawn over him, before he went back for the next round of drinks. This was the life. He was already thinking he might not go back to the apartment in Slateport. Cap didn't really need him, did he?

Vincent had been around the weirdness that was called Pokémon Jobs exactly once before—but it was such a long time ago he could no longer remember what had happened, all he could remember was the place and it was full of auric explosions that had very nearly made him nosebleed and black out.[break][break]

Thankfully today was going to be a much simpler experience—some weird place needed human-shape Pokémon to keep the human guests busy—whatever that was. Once he had been dropped off by Alexei with a promise to return by the end of the day, he watched quietly as the human departed astride a Salamence.[break][break]

Now he was alone—and what was he going to do? Oh, right…[break][break]

Looking over at the Pikachu, he quickly followed its lead by going to where there were trays being handed out—after reassuring the human that his ‘opposable thumbs’ could manage, a tray was balanced between his paw pads and given directions as to where the tray had to go.[break][break]

Slowly, surely, the Lucario began the walk as he attempted to balance a tray of drinks headed for a table with a lot of kids.[break][break]

Oh dear.

noah's hariyama may seem out of place. its bulky frame may be cumbersome and excessive for the cafe's small space. but fong is disciplined. as a gentle giant, the hariyama works hard to wash the dishes, its large mitten-like hands swift to scrub off plates and scoop out cups.

he can hear Caprice Isaac's pikachu attracting attention and the loud gaggle of children Alexei Ivanov's lucario approaches. the hariyama is lucky that it does not need to be bothered. humming deeply, he begins to tune everything out. his surroundings draw close. on his hands, he can feel the warm suds in between his fingers.

[attr="class","ithread"]it sure was tough work juggling all these orders! with a tray balanced on each of his hands and his head, the marshtomp can't help but feel smug at the impressed looks the customers send him. he sets down the plates at their correct tables before heading back to the kitchen.

maybe it wasn't so bad that other ranged had cancelled. after he'd had to back out, iris had sent blue in his place. though he can't understand the notes stuck above the counter, he takes a moment to look over them before the next round of orders are done. the marshtomp places them carefully onto the trays before heading out to the tables once more.

Part of little Mario Antoinette’s charm was the fact that it was shiny but it was more than enough to fare with its humanoid counterparts. When requests for waiters and baristas came from the newly-opened café in Oldale, its trainer did not hesitate to send its prized teacup to serve its purpose. After all, it certainly looked the part.

Little did they know that it was bad for business for a sinistea, however shiny it is, to wait the tables.

“Look at how cute you are!” Mario Antoinette poured table 6 some freshly brewed coffee from its teacup body when the customer fainted. “Oh no, no, no.” One of the human waiters exclaimed. Surprisingly, the cafe had stocks of smelling salts for instances like this.

“Oh, look how cute you are!” The customer said again after regaining consciousness.

To prevent further incidents, the manager made Mario Antoinette linger around the café with a menu on its hand, floating around, juggling table to table and sending orders to the pokémons and humans from the counter.

Princess was more than excited to be working at a job. The Skitty could remember the excitement on Chloe's face when she learned that the cafe was hiring Pokemon as workers. Cute Pokemon at that. Though the rest of he kitty family fought over who would be the face used to represent Chloe, she ultimately chose Princess who was more than happy to represent. Given a bow wrapped around her collar and kiss goodbye, Chloe sent off to her first job.

Though, if she had to admit, she really didn't have a clue as to what she was doing

She did her best to follow along the other Pokemon, particularly Alexei Ivanov 's Vincent whom she was quite familiar with. The Skitty at first tried to take the patrons' orders, but she would be too distracted by her tail to fully concentrate. She would chase it around would earn her a few 'awws', here and there. Every now and then she'd snap out of it to grab their tickets and bounce over to the counter for the barista to fulfill the orders. Due to her only having paws to work with, she could only use her mouth for taking orders in bags and carry them to the patrons. Every now and then she'd hop up to their tables, purr out a 'Nya' and allow all the pets, cuddles, and smooches all around. 'Ohh yeah, this is the life...'

This was practically what Darling was made for. Her entire species of Pokemon were practically perfect little helpers for humans, a good thing they absolutely enjoyed making others happy and smile too. Ever sensitive to other's emotions, especially whenever they brushed against her horns, Darling stood behind the counter assisting the best she could.

With her gentle, careful hands, Darling had no issues juggling various orders, mixing specific drinks, even carrying out the orders to the tables. Of course, every single time she got compliments over the adorable little apron she was wearing. Back in the Galar region, there was practically an Indeedee at every single Pokemart, assisting at every store across the entire region. For once, it was nice to be the only one around.

Her eyes wandered around the cafe for a brief moment, glancing from @chloe 's Skitty looking downright precious, to Selena Desmarais 's Sinistea now carrying a menu. Thank goodness for that. Sinistea's weren't healthy if they were drunk, that much was for sure. Regardless, she still had more work to do.

Walking around carefully, she grabbed a few empty plates and mugs, placing them on the small cart she was pushing. It was definitely too big for her, considering her relatively even shorter size, but she made too. Eventually done with her rounds grabbing the dishes, Darling led herself all the way into the back to find noah faber 's Hariyama hard at work doing dishes.

"Deedee!" Darling cried out as a greeting, placing the dirty dishes up for them to wash. They all had a part in ensuring the day was a success, and the behind the scenes workers were just as important. She'd give them a gentle pat on their hip, as that was all the further she could even reach with her comparatively small size before stepping back out into the cafe once more.
