"i am mateo, hear me roar!" he'd stand atop of a boulder dressed in nothing but a loin cloth made out of leaves. it was only their first day upon the deserted island and mateo had already started acting as if they were there for no more than five days already! covered in white paint and prepared to conquer the trials and tribulatons of being on a deserted island. he wasn't sure why he'd chosen to this, but he definitely couldn't thank the person doing this with him enough. turning to face them, hands confidently upon his waist, he'd ask, "so, are you excited to live on this place for a week?! this is gonna be so cool!"

"Room for me? I wanna roar too."[break][break]

If allowed, she would balance next to him to shout from the proverbial rooftops. And, while she wasn't quite as scantily clad as he, she was in the due process of constructing a suitable 'deserted island' look.[break][break]

He turns to ask her a question and she raises an eyebrow, chuffing and puffing out her chest.[break][break]

"This is gonna be great, are you kidding?"

"you don't sound all that excited?" mateo would jump down and, if need be, assisted her if she required it. "don't tell me the woman that'll replace her brother someday is afraid of a little pretend? come on, we're 'adam and eve'! i don't exactly get the whole experiment behind this thing, but it's pretty exciting!" being paired with mateo was definitely lady luck on her side, "don't worry, i've got experience living on nothing but the land. this should be a piece of dragon scale cake!" man, he could really go for some dragon scale cake.

"you ever had any of that before? it's one of blackthorn's delicacies! way better than dragon flakes, mmm!" drool began to spill from his lowered mouth as he thought about food back home.

She would take his hand when offered it, boosted up onto the boulder so she, too, could stare out over their makeshift front yard. It was full of sand and twigs and palm tree ferns - but it honestly looked like the perfect slice of heaven. She was thrilled to spend a week not worrying about anything other than.. you know.. surviving off the land.[break][break]

It was an experience, and she was genuinely floored - probably just overwhelmed and unable to find her voice to actually voice that excitement.[break][break]

"Me? Afraid? Pah!" [break][break]

She waves off the comment with vigor, amusement pulling her expression into a smirk.[break][break]

"This is super exciting, I'm genuinely thrilled!"[break][break]

Of course, she is absolutely floored to be participating in this little experiment with the man - she was a Silph. Learning how to forage and survive off the land wasn't exactly her role. She'd been taught how to navigate social settings (and not that well, mind you). [break][break]

Stormy perks up at the mention of dragon scale cake, and her stomach automatically growls in response. She lays a hand to her stomach, blushing.[break][break]

"No! I haven't, but that sounds delicious. Think we can replicate it with our imagination and some berries on this island? It's a date!"[break][break]

She chuckles, holding out her arm for him to take. Or vice versa. However it's meant to go.

"little lady, you have no idea what you've just gotten yourself into! hell yeah, let's do it!" confidently taking hold of her, he'd point forward into the unknown! "time for a new adventure into the deep...unknown..." wait a second, mateo would pause, "didn't they say there were dangerous pokemon on this island? as happy as i'm to fight, i just hope we can get the stuff we find back in one peace." he wondered as to what they should do first. setting up camp would be more beneficial, but then they'd have to scavenge for food.

"alright then, i think i got it! we can send our pokemon to forge for food while we set up camp, quick and efficient." mateo had faith dragonite could do it, this wasn't new to him after all. "what about you, you got any pokemon capable of going off on their own to find food? i don't trust my charizard, but dragonite can definitely get the job done without eating anything being brought back!"

And she follows him into the unknown with ease, boldly walking where no other person had gone before - maybe. It was entirely possible that this was a filmed television show, the newest fad to hit the big screen.[break][break]

Regardless, she pauses when Mateo does to listen and agree with everything he's saying. She taps her chin thoughtfully as he suggests sending their Pokemon off to forage, and she automatically reaches for a pokeball.[break][break]

"I'll let my Dragonite go, too! It'll be cute."[break][break]

At her word, the woman's adorable Dragonite appears, over the moon to be involved in today's activities.[break][break]

"Charizards are secretly berry enthusiasts, aren't they? Mine has such a sweet tooth, and it's so hard to keep the Charmander out of my garden back home."[break][break]

She sighs, shaking her head at the thought. She hoped her sitter was being mindful of them - oh dear.[break][break]

"So, I'll admit, I've never really stuck it out on my own in the middle of nowhere before. What should we get to first? Hope you don't mind showing me every little step?"[break][break]

She smiles, squeezing his arm.

was she a dragon collector? who would have thought. mateo had definitely grew to be more intrigued by stormy's home life. especially at the mention of a charmander, dragonite, and charizard! it was rare to find anyone outside of his family wielding that many. then again she is the former fire-type specialist.

suddenly mateo felt a squeeze upon his bicep. rose-colored cheeks were slowly becoming pink as he felt the bosoms of her chest ensnare his arm. "i...well, uh--..." did it suddenly get hotter in here or was it just the setting sun? "right!" shaking his head in order to regain his composure, it was time to build their paradise. "we need to find a source of drinking water, that's for starters. i'm sure there's a pond somewhere deep on this island, the further inland we go the better chance we have locating a clean source. which is something we'll do first thing when our pokemon are back."

next up was building their shelter, "you ever built a house before out of sticks and leaves? it's pretty fun. we need to find large leaves and big, long sticks! the sticks are important for the framework!"

She's making a mental shopping list as he lists off their objectives. Her gaze is far away as she stares into the trees, pondering where they might find a pond.[break][break]

"No, I can't say I have! It sounds complicated though, how do you get it to all hold together? Mud?"[break][break]

She had a few ground-type Pokemon who would love to tussle in the mud if that were the case. [break][break]

"I'll look for the large leaves, since you probably know what sort of sticks you need better than I."[break][break]

And then she slips away from him, hands returning to her side as she jogs off to pick up the biggest, healthiest leaves she could. She would also release an Aegislash to help her cut down some lower-hanging leaves. [break][break]

In time, she'd return with a bundle almost as big as herself.[break][break]

"Mateo? Is this enough?"[break][break]

She's teetering.

as mateo finished gathering the necessities needed with two of his druddigon. the trio would come to finish crafting the framework, only for mateo to turn, in shock, that stormy found the proper leaves needed. "these are way bigger than i thought the island would have, nice job!" he was thoroughly impressed. there was no way noelle could have gotte it right. he could imagine the argument they would have had about why the leaves she gathered weren't the right size.

thankfully stormy was a silph. just like her brother she knew what she was doing. "and look!" their dragonite's returned with the an assortment of fruits and berries. "now that they're back all we need to do is set the leaves on top of the shelter. luckily i have a goodra that can help out with that part, once this is done we can go start searching for some water!"

With a gasp, Stormy stumbles forward to drop them all. But she's glowing with sweat and pride, wiping hair out of her face and in the corner of her mouth before placing her hands on her hips.[break][break]

"Great, right? Took some searching, but I wasn't coming out of there with anything less than the best."[break][break]

She's out of breath but proud, positively beaming. The Aegislash hovers nearby, leaning himself up against a tree to relax. His job was done, so he was going to go back to being an immobile weapon and shield set.[break][break]

Over her shoulder, the Dragonite return with fresh fruit and berries. Some of them are a little squashed, but it just adds to the aroma of a good time. It smells like summer, honestly.[break][break]

"Ohhh.. a Goodra. That's genius!"[break][break]

Because, you know, the sticky Pokemon could easily put the leaves in place. [break][break]

She turns around to pass over some of her trimmed leaves, more than happy to pass them up to the Dragonite and the Goodra so they could finish setting up their cute little makeshift shelter.
