Stormy makes a huge effort to stretch out her hamstrings. The last thing she needs is to go down in a blaze of glory because of a pulled hammy. Her Blaziken mirrors her actions, practically vibrating with anticipation for the event. He was practically glowing with energy. [break][break]

"Ready, guys? We're gonna knock this outta the park!"[break][break]

She winks at Lance and finger-guns both Skyler and Ruby. She had practically dragged the poor girls into joining her, after all.[break][break]

And then the race begins and they're booking it. Blaziken's agility and speed boost kicks up dust in his wake.[break][break]

lance would normally skip the stretching because the man never stretches. he's never had to. but he takes the time to stretch out his injured left leg, careful not to strain it too much. he brings it up to his chest before shaking it, loosening up the muscle fibers.[break][break]

he says to no one in particular, but perhaps it'll be him who falls behind. the backpack mantyke coils closer, suctioning onto his back. the moment the race begins, he's off sprinting with the help of mantyke's AGILITY.[break][break]

Ruby's eyes narrowed as she looked down the course. There were a lot of obstacles in the way, and the track even extended out to floating obstacles on the ocean. This was certainly an interesting, almost intimidating track. And yet, Ruby was deadset on finishing it as fast as she possibly could.

Letting out a calm breath to relax her nerves, Ruby slowly stretched standing next to an incredibly energetic Torchic that stood by her side. He was from a trade a while ago, and while his previous owner might have found it fit to call him Nugget... She wasn't fond of the name, giving its implications. Regardless, it was the only thing it responded to. With a soft chuckle, Ruby nodded to her partners in this endeavor.

"Ready. I haven't been exercising for nothing." Nugget gave an excitable chirp as the two of them quickly took off down the track. Its extreme Agility meant that it was practically fast enough to run circles around Ruby with its little legs, let alone its ability Speed Boost suddenly coming into effect, boosting it's speed even higher.

Skyler lets out a laugh at the finger-guns Stormy sends her way and winks back. The blonde is particularly excited about this speed challenge -- she'd trained back home by sprinting on the beach and having her Pokémon time her. It was time to see if her efforts had been worth it.

By her side is a bored-looking Scolipede with a blue bandana around his head. Skyler has one to match -- unfortunately she didn't have enough time to get her fellow teammates some as well. Next time. "Come on, Scols, we're going to ace this."

She stretches her arms and legs and attempts to have the Scolipede do the same, but it seems he's not as enthusiastic as Skyler for the challenge. Scols makes sure to ready his AGILITY for the race ahead though.

Despite that, when the race starts Scols is like off like lightning, and Skyler has to do her very best to attempt to match him. 'Woah.'
