Abner groans as he makes his way out. What he didn't think about when he'd sent is alakazam out into space for a little while, was that he'd have to find a new means of transportation. There were loads of services but he had to pay for those, and it was annoying.[break][break]

And apparently it took forever. He'd been waiting in the cue for longer than he would have liked. Finally, he got a text saying that his ride was ready and waiting for him.[break][break]

Every so promptly, he stood up from where he'd sat and started to make his way toward where the text said his taxi would be waiting for him.[break][break]

"About fucking time."[break][break]

The mumble was to himself, and likely not heard by whoever he approached for the taxi ride.

One thing about Rocket, you did have to have an honest job, or at least a way to make money. Fortunately, Rex found ways to make money...this one was actually honest, so even better! Flying long distances in terrible weather tended to sicken Charizard and Corvknights, so he occasionally weaseled his way into a paying job. [break][break]

There was only one problem. It was tedious as hell. Unless a Pokemon got territorial and attacked, One and him had nothing to do except fly like a Wingull. Straight. Boring. Nothing happened. [break][break]

One landed nearby, Rex grumbling under his breath as he waited for his next lucky passenger...and there Abner was. "Oh, what the hell." He drawled, quickly casting his gaze away and waving the man forward. At least while on the ground, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to look like they knew each other, right? "Come on in, man, I'm in a hurry." The irritation in his voice wasn't falsified, though.

Then, he's getting into the little contraption and shifting down into the seat a bit as he glares at Rex. If Rex fuckin' dropped him, he'd drop Rex in the next fight club, without a second thought.[break][break]

"How long have you been a taxi boy?"

Rex clammed up just long enough for him to whistle and get One in the air, then, the moment he was sure nobody on the ground could hear them, "Call me a "taxi boy" one more time and I'll make One drop ya." He growled, One nodding as if to make his point, "I gotta eat too." And drink and drink and drink. [break][break]

"Rather...what the hell are you doing? Don't everybody got something to transport them!?" He pointed pointingly at One, making his point, "What kind 'a royal fuck up happened so that you got here, and now need a freakin' taxi!?" From what little Rex learned of staying on the down low, people didn't switch shit up for no reason. His down low? Be a bum, weasel his way into easy jobs, steal. Nobody saw anything but a punk. Abner, what was he doing here, and with no way back but a stupid taxi!?

Goooooooodnight. When did rockets use their brain so damn much? Rex' voice was already creating a migraine. Or was that just the fact that Abner was uncomfortable and the ride wasn't smooth?[break][break]

"I'd usually be teleporting, but my teleportation's off in space at the moment, so I'm dealing."[break][break]

Why the hell he just told Rex that was probably only because Rex was controlling what was transporting them and not dropping him.[break][break]

And yes, if Rex was hearing growling, it was Abner.

What the actual hell? Rex didnt imagine that he was considered, well, intelligent, and even he wondered what kind of gibberish was coming out of this man's mouth, finally settling on a set of spouted words, "You can teleport and we're carrying your ass." On the flying Pokemon's back, Rex thought of tapping its side and making the ride more bumpy than it should...he didn't, he wasn't stupid enough to do that to Abner. [break][break]

And then, growling. "What the flying f-" He looked over down One's side, "What's that noise!? Am I carrying a were-Mightyena!? What? What!?" The way he talked, it was like he thought this was all a personal conspiracy to ruin his day.

Rex mentioning his growl meant nothing to Abner. Clearly he'd bothered the young blood with his noises and wasn't that a fantastic thing? Honestly, he enjoyed the small panic that settled before him.[break][break]

"Men growl, boys purr. So, if ya don't growl, Rex..."[break][break]

A brow was lifted as if to suggest that Rex purred, but he didn't voice it. If only because he was too busy pretending he didn't want to curl up in a ball on the bottom of the carrying cart thing he was in.

Rex had a brief thought to have One do that transformation thing to get them to their destination faster, what was it called again? Evolving mega? Mega evolve? Whatever. It was a thought. Until Abner kept talking. He couldn't let that one slide, but not for reasons one might think. [break][break]

"Hey, people love the young look. Think I'm "cute" and shit." He spat down, a smirk crossing his face as he continued, "I mean, what else purrs that people like? Cats. They love those jerks, why shouldn't I jump on that popularity?" Not thinking much, he looked down at One and decided the ancient beast deserved a compliment, "I mean, I like growlers, they're tough like my buddy here. They just don't know how to look cute like me."

Abner's not ashamed of the long list of fucks he's got lined up depending on what mood he's in. Really, he should be ashamed, but he's Abner so he's not. If one is busy, he'll move to the next, or the next. Anything to keep him from being bored, pretty much.[break][break]

Not that Rex was boring, Abner just felt very uncomfortable if he wasn't on solid ground and talking about cats was making him hungry. Or was his stomach feeling like that because of his nerves?
