apologies for the late response! anyway i think it would be nice for valerio to hang out with someone on the more sophisticated side of life. valerio is adept in all kinds of comb at, make it pokemon-dependent or actual swordplay (i mean, he came from a family of dragon slayers sksk). i don't think maddonis can annoy valerio (since he's pretty laid back and can control his temper easily than most people) but they can annoy other rockets. i think it's nice to have val teach maddonis some new tricks, i bet he'll learn a lot since they share common animosity towards the league uwu
