the league headquarters, or what is left of it, stands forlornly in the aftermath of the attack. some officials escape the carnage. others are not as fortunate. those who fail to flee the chaos are captured or slain. yet, the league’s fierce resistance sends a defiant signal to rocket: the league is not to be underestimated. a surprise assault met with such difficulty forewarns the organization to the threat of a prepared and doubly fortified league.[break][break]

however, in the tussle, dahlia goode goes missing. @thermopylae and FERNANDO SILPH’s attempts to rescue dahlia goode are courageous and noted, but she is eventually overtaken. reinforcements from all around the city surround the outside of the building... @names’ distractions and marie jules’s cunning eventually sneak the commissioner away— but something is odd. something is off. she seems to give up willingly as the rockets seize her form.[break][break]

before dahlia goode is shifted away, she throws a small pendant to @thermopylae: one that she had worn around her neck (pm shiv for details). [break][break]

rocket is successful in causing mass mayhem and chaos. slateport's maglev trains are decimated, the tracks destroyed and the station demolished. in the following days, aid to slateport comes slowly. resources run scarce as the gang secures a stronghold over the city. [break][break]

not all is lost, however. thanks to the efforts of valiant league trainers, professor creighton is rescued from the clutches of team rocket.[break][break]

in particular, Bailey Cooper and Dallas Rhodes receive an incredible helping of gratitude from the region's professor. he is safely delivered to mauville in order to deliver his findings at a geological conference. yet, he encounters frights in the night. @min’s threatening presence seeps into his dreams, metamorphoses them into terrible nightmares. hoenn is no longer a safe place.[break][break]

despite having Malcolm Stone in their hands, somehow, somehow, the league managed to resist just enough to save their precious shipyard master. through the midst of the chaos, a careful SMOKESCREEN into TELEPORT play saves the shipyard master, taking him to safety. [break][break]

while most of the league flee by ship, some are not as lucky as they fail to make it to the ships in time. with league forces left behind, rocket feel confident enough not to dwell on the escaping ships. their mission might have been to kidnap the shipyard master, it’s a small loss that SILAS BLACKWELL is able to take. [break][break]

their overall goal is done: they’ve taken slateport.[break][break]

there’s nothing left here to be claimed; no power plant to be fixed. the generators have been crushed, destroyed, and it’ll take far too long for them to fix to even bother. with the entire slateport in complete and utter darkness, left isolated from the rest of the region, the cause of it can be traced back to the power plant.[break][break]

kim cole-essam’s valiant efforts have saved the lives of countless workers and researchers. the league might have lost the fight but there are small victories to take away, too. [break][break]

rocket might have accomplished their mission but it wasn’t without losses. [break][break]
