Zac vs Melody [Rhythm Badge]

Her voice sent chills down Zac's spine. Inside his white disco suit he was sweating up a storm, half from early-onset Disco Fever and the other half from sheer, sheet-music terror.
The terrifying final movement to Melody's gym challenge soared towards him as a sea of shuddering notes.
He was in serious treble.
"Busta! Pop those notes!" Zac shouted, and Busta blasted away, her claw booming with deep, bass thuds as the shots rang out. Notes popped, but the Crashing Crescendo tumbled across the dance floor and Busta was overwhelmed.
Zac turned to run. "Nyx! Let's get going mate!" he said, but the Hypno shook his head. Pink fur swirled in a psychic wind, and the ground shook as a powerful Earthquake rocked the dance floor. The dried tangle of plants from Melody's Drum Beating shattered in a spray of twigs.
Zac stumbled backwards, clutching the lump of the unconscious Greg in his jacket. "No! Get outta there—" The notes pounded Nyx into the ground, and his pink fur disappeared under the spray. Zac ran for it.
Big Habanero was the only one left, and the bird dove heads first into the fray. They landed between Zac and the approaching wave, let out a honk of anger and set about with their twin heads flailing.
Sparkling notes popped left and right, spraying the Doduo with soap and harsh music. They staggered, and Zac reached forward to pull them to safety.
One of the heads turned and bit him. Hard.
"Ow! What the hell?!" he asked, holding his hand, but Doduo honked at him and turned back to the fight, heads slapping at the solid notes. In moments Big Habanero was overwhelmed. Lost under a flood of sound.
And then it was just Zac.
Crashing Crescendo roiled and tumbled across the floor towards him. Melody had beaten him fair and square, and as the notes closed in, the curtain closing on his performance, Zac began to sing "Amaaaaaazing—"
A little green slapped over his mouth, then another grabbed at his beard, yanking hard as a tiny monkey crawled from his jacket. Greg clambered up onto Zac's head and pulled a dried twig from the trainer's hair.
As the tuneful tsunami crashed over them, Greg held up his stick, and used Protect.
Busta fainted
Nyx fainted
Big Habanero fainted
Greg used Protect
