"Don't worry, Reiner. She's just exhausted." He explained. "Healing doesn't take away one's fatigue— but it does make it easier for them to rest."

He moved over to stand near Eris' head, gently laying a glowing hand on her forehead.

"Sleep's also when the brain does maintenance. Cleans up and such." He said. "Let's make sure Eris gets the most out of it today."

Eris was gonna feel like she could fly by the time he was done.

"Surprise." He managed to wheeze cockily while on the floor, offering the other man a bloodied grin— one that vanished when the other man stepped towards him.

Even as his body repaired itself, Doug felt a tension pooling within him, gulping as he stared at the man— before a whistle and a whipping wind took him away.

He followed the avatar and his Corviknight as far as his gaze would allow, before finally sighing in relief, slowly forcing himself to sit up before looking around the ship.

"Ugh... Well. Could've been worse." He consoled himself as he rose back to his feet, ambling around the deck until he found his unconscious Accelgor. "Shit."

He sat down to heal his pokemon, all the while speaking into the comms.

"Security to all personnel; Threat has been repelled. Return to your duties."

Hopefully nothing else came along.

In response to Eris words, Doug dumped his jacket atop her like a blanket.

"That should tide you over." He said with a cheeky grin, before squatting down besides Reiner and holding out his hand. "Let me see yer paw, Reiner."

The paw wouldn't remain hurt for much longer if the large cat played along and let him handle it.

Once he was done with that, he moved on to Isaac, squinting at the young man as he grabbed his arm and extended it fully, looking over his shoulder with a critical eye before taking the former bleach blonde through a number of exercises. Needed to ascertain the damage and all.

"Why are ya two here anyway?" He asked once he was done with Isaac's arm.

He couldn't stick around for long— fights were still ongoing all over the island, and he needed to go help with the efforts.

"I appreciate the help, but I don't think ya originally called for that. Did ya?"

Doug side eyed both of his companions, neither of which gave any signs of being interested in advancing first.

Fair enough. After everything they had been through so far, a long hall with suspicious caskets lining the walls didn't make him feel particularly enthusiastic either.

"This is freakin's weird." Doug muttered as he took a tentative, gentle step forward, praying the next tile did not sink under his weight. "Did the people on the ship crash into a tomb or something?"

That was some impressively bad luck.

He had planned to ignore the sarcophagi entirely. But—

His genre savviness kicked in first.

"... If we ignore this, I just know it's gonna bite us in the ass later." He finally said with a sigh, before promptly two-stepping-into a back-kick the nearest sarcophagi's lid off.

It came off with a booming, echoing crash, the stone sliding off before shattering upon crashing on the floor.

No putrid smell came out of the inside... but the sight wasn't entirely pleasant either. Just a lot less bad than one would've thought.

The mummified remains of a humanoid being were inside the sarcophagi.

"My goodness... Do you know what this means?" he asked of his companions, eyes wide.

"No, really, do either of you know? This makes no fucking sense."

He said, glancing over at his companions, befuddled.

He hadn't noticed yet the fact that there were actually understandable scribbles on some of the mummifying papyrus wrapped around the body... if anyone was bold enough to look closer.
