A summon to the sub. She’s suspicious, cautious. It shows in the way she has the Gengar hide in her shadow instead of the Gardevoir. She fears Cillian Quinn would be able to sense the Shadow Pokemon and in turn the fear that lingers from their past few encounters.

The door softly creaks when she pushes it open. A subtle inspection of the room gives her the resolve to enter and sit down. She purposefully chooses a seat on the other side of the table. Space is welcome. She lingers, standing beside the seat with an expectant hand placed on the back of it, “Mr. Merlino,” she greets in return to his nod. He brings up THEO BECKETT and she nods, “Yeah, it’s been . . . enlightening,,” she hated it, hated fighting. Ultimately it made her stronger, which is what she craves. Over all, it was working.

Cillian Quinn

She watches him fall out of stance, curious. She too relaxes, lowering her arms and remaining where she is. Her gaze holds, unwavering, “Because I don’t want to,” simple, straight forward. She got free, now she’d run. Lex wasn’t looking to start fights, just finish them long enough to get away. Run.

THEO BECKETT

There’s no point in dwelling on the FUTURE SIGHT. The trap has been laid. Hopefully, it would work as planned. Until then, Umbra still had a battle to fight.

Darkness rushed towards the massive ghost. In a bold move, she too rushes towards the darkness. It consumes her, ripping and tearing at her spectral body with malicious force. It threatens to break her, but she is resilient and she tears through nonetheless. Ectoplasm oozes from fissures in her ethereal form but she strikes. Large palms press forward. From the darkness emerges light. Spheres of searing blue flames leave her body. Like bullets, they break through the DARK PULSE, attempting to surround the Gengar and strike at its CURSED BODY with the intention to burn.

Lex is far from Hoenn’s best. In reality, she’s still quite fresh to the battling scene. The craving for conflict is new and exciting. Despite the challenges the tournament brings, she’s determined to participate and do well. If anything, it would prove to herself she isn’t helpless and weak. She certainly felt that way.

This is her first fight with the Altaria. She’s testing it, seeing if it could hold its own. Is the pokemon worth her time? It isn’t a pokemon she typically reaches for with lower speed and less agility. The Noivern, on the other hand, was much more her style. The thief’s amber eyes peered upward, watching the Noivern bait the Altaria into zooming past it.

The pokemon took note, sending out the obscure MIST to hide and protect itself from the bat. Unfortuantely, it doesn’t do much against the BOOMBLAT. The power of the sound move rattles the Altaria, driving it off balance and causing it to tumble forward in the sky. Her wings fold to reduce her drag, allowing the momentum to somersault her forward. A sudden push slows her progress when she’s facing the bat. Her beak opens and the purple flames of a DRAGON BREATH tear through the mist towards the shadow of her opponent.

His question gives her pause. It’s a thought that has stung her mind since she woke up. Capture is failure, and that’s something Rocket doesn’t take well. However, up to this point, she has no reason to believe they would do her any serious harm, especially after saving two members from the same fate. She chooses not to answer, which is fine because he continues.

Instead, her attention is drawn to his story. A legendary Pokemon of Truth? Intriguing. Killian Decker would be most curious about this. Perhaps he even knew what pokemon the Ranger was referring to. It does sound too “out there” to be true . . . but otherwise Lex didn’t have an explanation for how it picked out her lies. She’s witnessed the power of Legendaries, Shadow Lugia and Darkrai in particular. Compared to that, maybe it isn’t too farfetched.

Amber eyes flick to the side, eyeing the approaching figured of men in uniforms. This is her ride, no doubt, “Well, it’s been a pleasure, Ranger,” she smiles, shifting her gaze back to him, “I’ll see you again soon,” the promise is accompanied by a hungry grin. He wouldn’t get away with this.

Raziel Beckett

He doesn’t stop her form reaching out. Her fingers find the fabric of his jacket. She holds it tight, but only for a moment. The fact that he doesn’t return he gesture tells her everything she needs to know. He doesn’t want it, he’s not ready. So, she retracts her touch and stands alone. She’s painfully aware of the emptiness around her. He’s here, but he’s not here.

Despite everything they just went through, she’s met with a stoic indifference. A quick, curt response she has difficulty reading into. He says the words, but she doesn’t believe them. She exhales slowly, diverting her gaze to the ground. She’s too tired to fight it anymore, “Ok,” is he only response before she moves on, “Let’s finish what we came her to do then,” whatever that was, she doesn’t remember anymore. She spins on her heels and walks down the path. Alone.

This match was going to last forever, guarantee it. Both sides are strong and resilient. They'd fight until they collapsed. The blue team released a Smog. The poisonous haze sank dangerously to the ground, spreading, threatening to not only block their sight but choke them into submission, "Oh, HELL no!" the red head grunted, summoned the Tauros to her side, "Get that shit outta here," the bull snorted, stamping his hooves into the ground. A faint pink aura encased his horns as psychic power grew from within. He charged forward, bursting through the smog with a ZEN HEADBUTT to break up the cloud and disperse it before any real damage could be done.
