[attr="class","hanatext"]Dangerous creatures are drawn to violence, a wild cackle echoing through the arena as the Mimikyu looks over the enemy trainer. He looks defeated and Lilith can definitely feel the hope fading from his mind. Perhaps, he's faced one too many losses thus far and he's on a downward spiral, performing worse with each defeat.

Nevertheless, Lilith isn't there to play therapist or to cheer for him. She's just here because Hex insisted on having a go at the people present. Nodding in acknowledgement, she gestures to the arena and allows the Mimikyu to hop off her shoulders.

Once she's thrown back into the bird cage, it'll definitely be a death sentence for her pokemon and she can't quite afford to seem like she doesn't know what she's doing. The fear of power strikes deep in her heart, her fists clenching the hems of her clothes as she quietly swallows her breath. Confusion - That was a common expression worn by those whom he'd be sent to dispose of. Whether they spent their last moments praying or latching onto the past, there was always a question that would linger on all of their minds.

Why?

The threat comes before words, claws tearing into him from behind as a Midnight Lycanroc attempts to sink its fangs into his arm. Before Amor can even hope to fully neutralise the wolf, the mercenary is moving in, knives sliding upon unseen lines as he aims for the exposed throat.

"You're not sending me home?" The question is an instinctive one - Lilith knows better than anyone that the reward for her must be quite lucrative, growing by the day considering the number of bounty hunters she's spied on her way here. So are they simply trying to trick her into letting her guard down?

Their offer seems so tempting but she hesitates to take the hand. Behind her, her pokemon are watching, waiting for any signs of danger and depending on her to protect them. They perk up at the mention of a meal, driven by hunger but not quite starved enough to simply believe another human.

"Will there... be others there? I don't want to be recognised..."

She stiffens up from the contact, as she has done all these years. Despite her age, Lilith still hasn't quite grown fond of the idea of touch, even around people who she supposes she could call friends. Perhaps, that can be attributed to the mistrust sown deep into her heart... She isn't one to analyse herself where possible lest she find herself trapped in a downwards spiral.

"I've... been away from home?" Technically not a lie, but not the entire truth either. It stands to reason that Kanoa doesn't know and it's probably better that she doesn't get herself involved in such a mess. "I only got here a few months ago... Been travelling through the regions... Getting to see the world... Meet all kinds of people..."

She pauses for a moment, her eyes drifting to the Mimikyu as he begins to shake erratically. And before he can tear into the strangers present, she's pulling away from Kanoa to pick him up, patting his head to calm his nerves.

"When did you arrive here? Or moreso, why are you here...?"

As a voice pierces through the silence that they've stolen for themselves, Lilith finds herself looking right back at a stranger - A sailor aboard this ship. Behind her, a Wooloo, Zorua and Alolan Vulpix quail whereas a Mimikyu growls and begins to shake erratically. It is only when she holds a hand out to the fairy that it calms, falling silent and withdrawing its shadowy tendrils.

She finds it slightly strange that she hasn't been dragged out of her hiding spot or put on trial. Then again, it's a little hard for anyone to put a knife to her neck when they recognise her -

Lilith Eirwen, the missing heiress to one of Alola's largest traders and businesses. It has probably been about a week since her disappearance was announced to the public and a miracle that she's gone this long without being caught thus far. And perhaps, her efforts show by the hastily scrubbed dirt marks and horribly patched scraps on her limbs; An appearance far more convincing than the empty look she gives the stranger.

A quiet breath, the inner voices silenced as the answer come to mind.

"Running from home." She murmurs, "Stowing away."

It's only a matter of time before it catches up to her and she knows that she's nowhere near prepared to face them.

[attr="class","hanatext"]To think about what one is looking for. It's a concept that far contrasts Lilith's belief of serendipity at its finest. Nevertheless, she's not one to voice opinions that don't quite matter, neither does she feel like addressing a panic attack at the present moment.

Instead, she looks to her partner, tilting her head towards the darkened tunnels ahead.

That said, she may be a little concerned as to whether Soleil's clothes will keep her warm enough the further they descend. A slight glance towards Rubia allows her to convey the thought and the Wooloo agrees in her own way, keeping close to the girl with her woollen coat. As they walk, Lilith is keeping an eye out for movement, the clicking of camera shutters being the only noise she gives off as she treads lightly.

With a series of choices down forked tunnels, the cave begins to open, the dim atmosphere seeming to lighten up as the smallest bits of surface light reflect off crystalline walls. The ice gleams with a soft blue hue, as if made of pure larimar - A winter wonderland hidden from prying eyes, a place that is not sought after but chanced upon.

Tugging at her camera straps, Lilith doesn't miss her chance to immortalise this fairytale. And perhaps, Soleil may have found something of interest too.

From the shadows, curious eyes watch their every movement, their voices silenced by the sheer oddity of their visitors.

A wounded deer leaps highest, I've heard the hunter tell. 'T is but the ecstasy of death, and then the brake is still.

The wolf stalks its prey from the shadows, its claws stained by years of red. It hungers for the fawn that's managed to find its feet, the fawn that's escaped its grasp. In silence he approaches, his wrath an endless ocean that seeks to consume.

As his fangs draw closer to the traces of past, he laments the fate of the dearly departed. At the very least, he'll make it swift, not unlike the day where it all started.

[attr="class","hanatext"]No matter where she travels, it seems that she'll always be drawn back to the seas that set her free. It's the third time Lilith's come to Slateport Beach, the rhythm of the waves and the chilling breeze never failing to elicit a smile where most fail. Everything about this location is serene, quiet enough for her to hear her thoughts yet still lively enough to keep Hex entertained.

With a cursory glance in the Mimikyu's direction, Lilith notices how he's seemingly entranced by something, a shadowy claw aimlessly sweeping through the sand as his hollow gaze peers off into the distance. Following his line of sight, she soon catches onto the same sight he does, a soft pang sparking in her chest as she recalls the name upon the tip of her tongue.

11 years since she left home. 11 years since she's went missing and become a runaway.

And 11 years all lead back to one memory.

"Kanoa... It's been a while, hasn't it?"
