"Firstly, being a runaway brings a fair share of issues. Secondly, I don't really like a lot of people nor do I usually get comfortable being around them. You're one of the rare exceptions." Sighing quietly, Lilith begins to go down the mental list of flaws that come to mind. "Glaring trust issues aside, I can be pretty rude or cold since I prefer pokemon over people. I've been called rather blunt and or apathetic at times. I'm a coward when it comes to fighting. I'm pretty useless, just kind of wandering and existing at the moment so I can't really offer anything. I'm not pretty so rescind that compliment. I also don't deal well with emotional situations so I guess I wouldn't really know my way around someone else..."

Being self-deprecating sure provides a sense of comfort that can't be explained. With just the tip of the iceberg scratched, Lilith pauses to take a breath, kicking back slightly as she leans her weight onto her palms.

"Luck isn't something that exists when involves me, you know?"

Ah, but she really shouldn't be pulling down the atmosphere or filling Rowan's mind with useless information. Considering his connections, he would easily have traced her origins - After all, it isn't very often that a heir to a prominent Alolan business goes missing. But he doesn't have a need to know, nor does Lilith think he has a desire to pry into her background. Why burden himself with the weight of another's problems when he has a perfectly beautiful future ahead of him?

"I'm pretty sure that I'll run into him sooner or later, don't stress yourself over it. Besides, I'd rather any time that you get to be with him remains a special thing between you two. I'm not gonna be a third-wheel~"

[attr="class","hanatext"]It doesn't come across as a surprise - From the way she holds herself despite appearances to her attention span and way of speech, Lilith deals with someone who has most likely been sheltered from the world for years. She's new to human interaction and thus presents herself in such a fabricated manner to give a good first impression, perhaps even fit in. But there's a piece of the puzzle missing, something that motivates her to try her best to make friends of strangers instead of shy away behind familiar figures.

Familial restrictions? A sickliness that's only just cleared enough for her to walk? Perhaps, even a bucket list.

It's not her place to pry but she will entertain the idea of understanding another if only to occupy her mind.

"Don't worry, I'm not the only one so you'll have plenty of chances to practice." A mild form of reassurance or a warning about the world yet to be explored? Regardless of how her partner takes it, Lilith is well aware that filling someone else's mind with uncertainties really isn't something pleasant so she sets the topic aside for now.

"Well... anything of interest to you I guess? Pokemon in their natural habitat and how they behave beyond the prying eyes of prospective trainers. Interactions between organism and environment or even just a piece of the scenery."

Of course, she refuses to mention the possibility of illegal activities happening in these caves. After all, those rumours are for her to pursue in her own time without having to worry about the safety of others. Gripping her camera carefully, Lilith turns on her heels and faces Soleil, capturing the sight with a quick click of the button - The beginning of a trainer's adventures.

"Whatever you think would be a nice way to express what Shoal Cave is all about."

[attr="class","hanatext"]An offer without a price. The notion unnerves her but the signs say otherwise - An unchanging gaze, no fidgeting nor traces of deceit. Reading others has become a necessity, a skill so engrained into her nature that she wonders if she ever lacked it to begin with.

A gentle nod, an unspoken request for him to lead the way. Gently placing Yule onto the ground, Lilith searches through her memories for any information on this stranger. Perhaps, he's some great figurehead in the country but not one that seems to tap into the network. Authority means wide connections both above and underground, a vast expanse of information at your fingertips if you simply know the right price for each piece.

Given his lack of recognition and aggression, she can safely assume that he's not out here to collect a bounty but rather, play the role of a kindly samaritan. Those who have far too much to spare are fools when it comes to giving but she can't quite complain if such gifts benefit her in the end.

"Do you know what it does?" Curiosity begs for the mystery to be unravelled. "The carrot seeds must be relatively special to grow in this climate."

[attr="class","hanatext"]Far from strange, the very fact that this man knows where to plant the seeds comes across as a rather pleasant surprise, albeit a little suspicious considering the circumstances. As Yule gently swishes her tail against the fabric of her jacket, Lilith's words remain as placid as ever.

"And what do you want in return for that?"

She's willing to take whatever information she can get but not without knowing the price of the words she receives.

[attr="class","hanatext"]Though the cavern remains cold, it sure is getting rather hot and spicy in here. Watching as the Jynx advances on Dakota with just a singular attempt of friendship, Lilith snickers then laughs, gaining the attention of her Mamoswine as Rubia gently headbutts her calves.

With a sigh, the giant mammoth steps in, carefully tucking his tusk between Dakota and the Jynx before wiggling gently to separate the two. As soon as she spies a gap, Lilith signals for Thea to help, Teleporting him right out of the cursed hug.

"A little daring for your first attempt, but I can respect it..." Try as she may to keep her voice steady, there's no hiding the glimmer of mirth in her eyes. "With that, you've made a new friend!"

As if agreeing with her sentiments, the raucous rumble of a Crabominable echoes through the cavern, its legs tapping along the icy grounds as he approaches the group and waves to the Mamoswine. Then, he takes a hearty swing at the mammoth, only to be met with a rough bump of his own.

A friend of a friend is a potential friend in the making - Even if they don't communicate with the same language, actions most certainly speak louder than words. When the crab turns to face her, Lilith carefully raises her hands in front of her, meeting his claws in a rather strange high-five as he lets out a gurgle somewhat bordering a hum.

"I'm Lilith... Nice to meetcha..." Everything begins with reading a pokemon's personality, from the way they act around others to the way they posture themselves, Lilith would love to say that she has a decent grasp on how to tiptoe around different scenarios. "We were just about to go looking for a planting zone for these seeds... Have you seen anyone else who's been here and done something similar to it?"

Her question is met with what she assumes to be a shrug and a shake of the head, a claw pointing in their direction of travel as the Mamoswine tilts his head. So both of them know of a rough location but haven't quite understood the meaning behind the carrot seeds themselves. Perhaps, she's grasping onto thin air with this little venture but she rather try than let her theories remain unchallenged.

"Would you like to join us? It would be great if the two of you could lead the way..."

An invitation is extended, one that allows the Crabominable to accompany Mamoswine on its journey into the unknown and to unravel the true meaning behind the seeds. If that isn't quite enough, Lilith offers several berries for the mammoth and the crustacean, treats for them to snack on as they catch up with one another.

[attr="class","hanatext"]If she ever forgot why she avoids hugs like the plague, she is reminded almost immediately by the tight grip Maya has on her. With a rather soft laugh, Lilith gives her an awkward hug back, listening to the strange offer with a raise of her brow as she carefully grasps the mug within her palms.

"Bowling sounds nice..." Humming, she watches as Hex takes a long swig of his own drink. "I've never really done bowling before though." Surprising, considering how the family estate had space for every sport imaginable but not too out of the ordinary for a bookworm such as Lilith. "I'm just... exploring the region, learning about the flora and fauna present."

When it comes to dating though, she nearly chokes, closing her eyes as she takes a deep breath to calm herself. The cup is placed back onto the table, carefully tipped on the edges as she watches the mixture swirl within.

"The day I date anyone is the day Lucien gets away scotfree for calling you names."

[attr="class","hanatext"]Despite Soleil's best attempts to hide her emotions, she isn't quite ready to go up against someone who's read people for years. Her odd breathing and her smile is dissected as easily as they are observed, a soft sigh escaping parted lips as Lilith carefully sweeps loose strands of hair behind her ears.

"Don't worry about it. I'm just not used to people being touchy..." Taking charge has never been her best trait but if she's required to step up to the challenge, she sure as hell will. She gestures towards her Wooloo, "Rubia absolutely welcomes the attention though."

Having been mentioned, Rubia happily bleats in agreement, gently nuzzling Soleil as she urges for her to follow closely. After all, getting hurt whilst taking photos is most definitely not on the agenda.

"If you're out to make new friends... one good thing to know is that not everyone are as outgoing or friendly as you... it's like... meeting new pokemon. Everyone has different personalities and preferences, so learning how to comfortably interact with them is part and parcel of a good friendship."

Rowdiness is a rather common occurrence when it comes to Maya and Luce, so the threat of opening fire and kicking his ass doesn't draw any real panic from her. Instead, she snickers, hiding her face in her sleeves as Hex goads them on.

Been a while wouldn't even begin to describe the time she'd spent missing - 11 whole years without a single peep or sign of her existence. She's pretty sure that her family had pulled out all the stops when it came to searching for her in the first few weeks of her disappearance, even plastering her details over the underground networks whilst she'd simply escaped as a stowaway on a passing ship.

Having left without a single goodbye, she's a little afraid to ask if they're mad at her. Or even worse, want her to contact her parents as soon as she possibly can...

"No, that's fine. Hex would probably eat you right out of business if given the chance to." Lilith catches her thoughts as soon as they begin to take off, giving him an awkward smile as she picks said gremlin right off the counter and places him onto a random table. Taking a seat right after, she watches Rayne with a mild interest - From the way he handles each order to the presentation of the drinks, he's immaculate and clean when compared to his loose tongue.

"Minor arson tendencies... I can respect it." A rare tease of her own, she allows the flames to flicker and fade before taking a sip. So settling in Alola hadn't felt right... In a sense, she can relate to that feeling, having harboured one far more twisted and desperate than his.

But she digresses.

"So, how long have either of you been here?"

He's absolutely messing with her. That crooked grin he gives her along with the unnecessary suspense he'd created, every bit reminds her that he's still very much of a crackhead as she last remembered him being. But at the very least, he doesn't decide to play into the feigning of ignorance and call her a Snom too - That would probably have earned him a light jab to the side and a look of parental disappointment.

"What do you mean dating? We've met up a few times after that to do some volunteer work and research but we're not dating." Lilith squints at Rowan, deciding very carefully if such a comment warrants him a bop to the head. And it eventually does, the girl reaching out to hit him gently, earning a shallow cackle from the Mimikyu as he shakes. "It's more like a... mentor-student kind of relation? Platonic like how I'd call you something like a brother and be worried for you and your reckless antics."

She doesn't recall ever having a sibling but if she had to hope for one, it would be someone that cared even a little beyond her blood.

[attr="class","hanatext"]Perhaps, years of relative peace and anonymity has dulled her senses, the sudden presence of another startling her just slightly. And yet, she reveals nothing outwardly, a glacial look cast towards the stranger as she gently clutches Hex closer.

"I'm no princess." At least, not one in the most traditional of senses. That much is made clear by the ragged gear and unsightly scars she has, a lioness' ferocity lurking in her voice as she meticulously picks at the details he provides. Bounty hunter is all that it takes to clarify his supposed purpose in these straits, her hands tensing before she consciously relaxes them.

With his ties to the underworld, there'll no longer be a need to give her name. Instead, she cocks her head, her eyes glinting as she wordlessly dares him.

"Wouldn't you be glad to know that I'll wring that power from your hands if I have to?"

[attr="class","hanatext"]Unlike most people, being reminded of the past does not elicit any form of joy in Lilith's heart. In fact, it doesn't spark any emotions other than hatred and a strange sense of helplessness that plagues her in her day to day life.

And yet, why is she drawn to familiarity when it presents itself?

As Hex nudges her encouragingly, her hands hesitate to touch the door, gently pushing it open as she dares to enter a place that really shouldn't be visited. In an instant, nostalgia washes over her like a lulling lullaby, her head feeling so empty but her heart so full as she takes in the atmosphere with a soft inhale and a quiet sigh. Her attention then drifts to the person manning the counter, a bittersweet taste left upon her tongue as she places a name to those present.

"One Litwick Cocoa and a Bouncy Brionne Soda..." She hums, watching quietly as Hex slides some money over the counter. It's clear that she's ignoring the Primeape comment to the best of her ability, her expression remaining blank as ever as if it had never happened at all. But her eyes betray it all, a glint of amusement flickering through her gaze as she clears the way for the impending devastation of man for his hubris.

Oh no.

It isn't a sense of fear or discomfort that overwhelms her in that very moment but rather, a mild sheen of awkwardness that radiates off her as she freezes in place. Her hand is taken without much resistance, an off smile sliding upon her lips as part of her brain screams that it's time to run. But she doesn't, supposing it's somewhat rude. Instead, she abruptly pulls her hands away, shrugging her shoulders back and taking a deep breath in.

"Lilith." The introduction is kept brief, a surge of emotions including 'what the fuck' and 'why am I here' pelting her mind as she gestures to the Wooloo. "Rubia."

A soft breath, a silent prayer to the gods as she swears not to curse in front of this stranger.

"Should we get going?"
