Honedge got obliterated
binacle is back for round 2!

The machine's recoil was swift, and brutal. It collided with Honedge, bending the steel right at the tang and sending the Pokemon clattering across the street. "You seem to be winning quite a few," Bill said, his voice laced with pride. "I'd expect nothing less though. You come from great battling stock."

Bill went to get another Pokemon, but Binacle clonked forwards. The little creature was up for round two!

Bill didn't see Lars appear. He only had eyes for Angelo. He strode through the wreckage and, in front of his son, locked eyes with his rival.

"The mug is broken," he said, like a judge handing down a death sentence. Behind him Palossand consumed the pieces of the shattered item.

"What now?" The words implied that there was something to do now, and that it was up to Angelo to locate that course of action and then complete it expediently. Chill Bill was gone. This was Kill Bill.

Honedge used sacred sword

Bill wished he had his old Pokemon. His work Pokemon. Aerodactyl, Feraligatr, Lapras. Pokemon that could take a hit right to the throat and then hit back with enough force to crush bones. Instead, he sent out Honedge.

The saber was a good start. It had half of what Bill was looking for. The weapon was all offence, with No Guard to be found on the weapon. At Bill's command it swung at the target with a Sacred Sword.

"How have you been going in the tournament?" Bill asked. It was the polite thing to do, even though he knew the score already. He'd watched all of Lars' matches.

"That's more like it Lars!" Bill said, smiling as the machine came tantalizingly close to tipping over into the winning bracket.

Next Bill tried his Beheeyeem. The Pokemon looked sideways at the machine in Confusion, twisting it with his alien mind.

"It's more believable if you win," Bill said, smiling as his friend gamed the system. He sent out his Salazzle. The lizard licked its venomous lips, eyeing Houndour's rawhide. They would fight over the treat for a few minutes. It may not be "league standard" but battles took many forms, and they weren't league, after all.

Bill nodded at his colleague's astute observation. "Does that mean that all the MILFs are with the league?"

Bill watched with relief as Honedge clattered to the ground, asleep but still conscious. Unlike his opponent. The Roserade had been knocked out cold, unable to continue the battle. It was an unconventional victory, but there are a hundred ways to skin a Skitty.

"There should be," Bill agreed, but this was the perfect example of a well laid plan. It would execute successfully even when the user was unable to control it. A predetermined victory. "Roserade put up quote a fight, despite the inborn disadvantages. Thank you for the fight, Kazimir. We must do this again. I'd love to fight when you aren't going easy on me," Bill said, his knowing eyes meeting his opponent's.

Honedge used Iron head

Roserade retreated. Perfect. Honedge shot forward, whirling through the air with great speed, giving its opponent no quarter. The forest meoldy seeped into its iron, and the ghostly presence inside the sword faded into sleep. The sword, temporarily inert, tumbled through the air, heading straight for Roserade with a wild Iron Head.

Bill sat down with the underboss. He didn't have a chocolate banana, or a strong Pokemon team, and he was pretty over being thrashed at volleyball. A rest sounded great. "Sure are a lot of fathers in rocket, aren't there."

As Magnezone unearthed the vessel, Bill stood up, took a few steps away from Gavin and tossed out his Milotic. The serpent uncoiled on the sand, looking at the underboss with glassy eyes.

The vessel was a speedboat. Police issue, complete with logos and dim red and blue lights on top. It had disappeared from the harbor a few weeks ago, along with one of the members of the coast guard.

As the hull breached the sand the damage becomes clear. Punctures, scorch marks, a shattered front windshield, and of course the body. Palossand had moved the two corpses to the front cabin, and as the ship surfaced from its dry grave nearby spectators started to shout and scream.

With their free time at an end, Bill pointed at his underboss and said their prerehearsed lines. "That's him! That's Liam King!" Bill shouted, finger pointing at Gavin. "Someone call the League!"

Honedge used Sacred sword again

Giga Drain doesn't just draw from flesh and foliage. It draws from nutrients. Life essence. And what are ghosts but the remnants of life that inhabit material objects.

The attack pulled at the spirit inside Honedge, tugging at the vestiges of energy. The saber felt its life pulled towards Roserade, healing its energy instead of hurting. It was only by virtue of its solid, steely form that it wasn't sucked dry.

Honedge had scored a hit, and as its energy was sapped away it pressed the advantage, driving again at the wound. Hacking, slashing and forcing the Roserade to defend or fall to its precise, merciless strikes.

milotic fainted

The machine struck back, slamming into Milotic with an electronic punch that crackled with excess voltage. The serpent fell to the ground, paralyzed and unconscious.

"Just because a game is rigged, doesn't mean you can't win," Bill said. It was a good advice, but without his previous collection of powerful Pokemon it would be difficult to overpower this carnival game. Instead, Bill sent out Binacle.

The dual hands of the sea critter found the lever, wrestling against the machine.

Honedge used Sacred sword again

The volley of projectile thorns struck left deep furrows along the flat of the blade, and the poison sunk deep, leeching into the blade in veins of sickly purple. Honedge's No Guard was a blessing and a terrible curse.

"Again," Bill said, the the saber surged, this time striking at the core of Roserade with its glowing blade. Captain Rose's arms were covered in thorns dense enough to turn the blade, but perhaps a strike to the body would draw victory.
