No, Eris Halla’s response is not respectful enough. Far from it, in fact. The quip she attempts when looking at him elicits nothing but disgust. He had given her the chance to correct her behaviour and she had put it to waste. He would have never been given such a privilege back when he was her age.

She should be glad that Cillian Quinn intervenes when he does, Lugia’s THUNDER cutting through the air. At that moment, Mars offers a nod when looking at the man by his side – in full agreement with his decision to expel the misbehaved child from this meeting. Killian Decker’s decision to be the one escorting her, though? Not so much, but Mars does no more than give him a look while wondering why he would think it proper for an underboss to leave before the meeting concludes. Nothing is said about it, though. The question had been one with no right answer; meant to gauge Levy Alinsky’s character. There is always something to be appreciated about someone’s willingness to admit when something is too much for them to handle on their own, but the same can be said about perseverance and a desire to prove themselves. Mars can understand, he too often likes doing things on his own, even if he also sees the value in cooperation.

Today, however, there is no cooperation at all. The recruit had chosen not to accept assistance, and as such, the underboss leaves him at the will of the distortion’s pokémon.

He merely watches as Levy deals with attack after attack, and he even calls his Riolu back to his side. Ajax seems all too displeased by this, but he obeys the command, and it’s with arms crossed that he too watches the fight.

Thankfully for Levy, a space-time distortion doesn’t last forever.

The memories of Mount Coronet come inevitably, and although they’re ones he’s fond of, they also serve as a painful reminder. Mars had climbed the mountain more than a couple of times, he had visited the Spear Pillar, and when doing so, not once had he thought what he now knows is likely true: Arceus might wish for this world to be destroyed.

How ironic that, in the end, their true enemy may not come from Ultra Space or any other dimension. How can they fight against the Will of God?

Upon hearing the word, Mars gives the attire another look soon after the hug is returned, appreciating it in a much different sense now. Ever since their release, Sygna suits are one of the only things everyone in the region seems to be talking about, to the point that the bank now offers loans specifically targeted towards those wishing to purchase the expensive new combat gear. The ad campaign had been going well.

Does the fact that Eris Halla has a Sygna suit surprise him? No.

Does it worry him? Also no.

If anything, it’s somewhat of a relief. In the region where endless threats come from outer space, Ultra Space, and other dimensions alike, it’s good to know that she has this kind of protection. Especially given Eris’ penchant for ending up in all sorts of dangerous situations.

Even in a place like this, those thoughts and memories are much creepier, and Mars finds that he’d much rather stand among the trees and graves of Mt. Pyre than relive everything they had dealt with in cyberspace.

Night fell upon Dewford, and it’s silence that overtook the small town. Some would have called it unsettling, but to the blond man that stood at a small vessel’s bow, it was nothing short of perfection.

The unmarked boat had sailed to the inconsequential island all the way from Sootopolis, and in the dead of the night, it docked unnoticed. All inhabitants of the island seemed to be asleep, people and pokémon alike, and even the sea’s wind was no more than a briny breeze that rustled the leaves of the town’s trees.

”Alright. Here’s your assignment…” Tuesday finally told the man accompanying him once they jumped off the boat, a smirk glistening sharp as the edge of a knife beneath the moonlight. IIt was calmly that he pointed towards the town. ”Break into one of those houses and steal a pokémon.”

It was a simple task, simple enough for any new grunt to manage it, but it would undeniably show much. Could fern delaney do more than merely work as a forger? Could he come up with a plan on the spot? How ready was he to do anything Team Rocket asked of him? Would he put all silly sentimentality aside and realise that all pokémon existed for the glory of Team Rocket?

That trek up the mountain in the middle of winter had been the day when Mars had told Gavin about Azelf’s prophecy, and although that also was something he hadn’t expected to happen, the avalanche sure made it seem simple and mundane in comparison. Still, it’s not a bad memory.
