Summer watched his QUAGSIRE waddle forward with a nudge of help from Knox, an awkward slapping noise as it moved.

Slowly. Awkwardly. Like a ball of slime covering an animal's body.

She looked between it and her brother, a look of disbelief on her face. In that moment, she believed that Knox Prescott was going to ruin the entire operation. Every single ounce of information she had gathered was going to be thrown away, and their target would escape.

Well, until MUDDY WATER appeared to drench every fighting type in front of them, followed by electrical charges by Knox's JOLTEON.

"You're an idiot," Summer mumbled quietly under her breath before sending forth her team.

After that, it was an onslaught of psychic blasts, fire attacks, dragon breaths, and ghostly auras to wipe the guards. It was quick work, since Knox's Pokemon had managed to bring most of them to their knees before hand.

"Let's go."

Typically, Summer's staff would prepare drinks when guests brought them by. But, she wasn't expecting Cade to gift her with the bottle of wine. The staff had been sent away for the evening, either enjoying the rest of the night off or sleeping early.

They still had to rise early.

Nevertheless, she had an idea of where the corkscrew was, finding it after a moment of rummaging around. She picked two lovely glasses: only the best pieces reserved for guests. With a pour, she passed one to him over the counter, her chest pressing against the hard granite for a moment before leaning back.

"Well, perhaps that too. I don't invite just anyone over to my home," she pointed out, propping herself up with her elbow as she sipped from her glass.

Summer smirked, shrugging.

"Your skill on the field was incredible as well. And your physique... I'm sure you have many swoon after you as well?"

There was not another word shared about it. And, if she had to guess, there wouldn't be another one spoken about Ollie or the actions of that night for a while. Not until a heated argument or worse.

That wasn't her focus, anyway. She needed to eliminate this threat and be one more person down, out of the way that could hurt her. Hurt her goals.

Her family.

Summer shot him a look, one that suggested he was crazy. Quite honestly, she wasn't exactly sure what the "Knox special" entailed, but perhaps she'd leave it up to him while she went on the offensive.

"Keep me covered," she responded, marching ahead.

Out of her Poke balls came Hela, the HISUIAN ZOROARK, her CHARIZARD, MR. MIME, and DRAGAPULT. Surtur would be ready for her call should she deem it necessary.

On the field, there was a KOMMO-O, MACHAMP, HARIYAMA, MIENSHAO, and LUCARIO to handle.

"Think you're ready?"

Summer didn't miss the blush that crossed Remiel's face, smirking as she looked over her emails on her phone. She looked at jayden cross, giving him a small wink before setting her phone down.

Felix Gallagher entered, and she made a quick glance at him before leaning back in her chair, swallowing almost awkwardly.

"A mixed drink for me, Mr. Calcifet. Sweet. Thank you," she spoke.

Summer gave a small greeting to oscar clayton before looking at Rahul. She looked him up, then down, offering a smile before shrugging.

"Well, you see... I consider Remiel a good friend and a business partner. He asked me to participate, and I didn't have any reason to turn him down. If it helps him and me in the long run, I see it as only a win."

Summer began to rummage through supplies, trying to find where the informant had left the information. She cursed to herself, nearly breaking a nail while moving several cans around.

"I swear, if this fucker moved it..."

Suddenly, there was a low growl to her side. Hela's warning didn't go unnoticed. Summer pulled back, trying to appear normal for the patrol or whoever was coming through.

Her ZOROARK slid into the shadows, taking on an illusionary form of an innocent YAMPER and awaited further command.

Alexei Ivanov. She knew the gym leader, since he was a known League member. But, apparently, she looked all too familiar to him. Not as Summer Atreides, but as someone else entirely. Someone that she was not familiar with.

So, she'd have to play her cards carefully before giving a signal to distract him.

"Alexei! Hey, what's up?"

Did she know how this person talked? No way in hell. But Summer had to work with what she had.

Her grip was tight on the shovel she'd found, her knuckles nearly white as they walked out of the shed. Summer shivered again, the cold that had been momentarily blocked by the shelter finding a way to ache into her bones. However, she gave Remiel's hand a squeeze as he took hers once more.

She'd follow his lead.

She couldn't see anyone in the town. But she had this feeling of being watched. Like a painting staring at you within the confines of its canvas. Their eyes, evermoving no matter where you went. No matter where Summer looked, not a soul was seen.

But their gazes were hard.

The scarecrows amplified an unsettling feeling within Summer. Though Remy may feel safer, she was still spooked. She shuddered, looking away before speaking.

"Have you ever been dragged into one of these illusions with someone? Could it be that my presence is enhancing the details?" she inquired.

"That perhaps... it has more to feed off of. Therefore it has more to produce, to amplify our fears."

This wouldn't be the first time BARNABY FINCH had seen Summer break down. They had run into each other at a festival once, around New Years. Casey Fincher's disappearance was still fresh, and work was piling on her.

If she could think clearly, she'd remember how she had cried into his chest, hidden in the alleyway and how he offered his comfort to her then too.

It only seemed fitting that he had found her once again. Summer wished that he wasn't there, because she was at her worst. She looked pitiful, horrendous. She was ashamed.

But part of her was glad that it was him and not someone else, because he'd seen her at her worst. He could see her again.

She felt a hand on her back, soothing her as she finished bringing up whatever vile substances from her stomach out. Her hand was pulled to his, and she breathed. For once since this panic struck her, Summer Prescott breathed.

"Barnaby..." she whispered again, though it came out more of a sad whimper.

Summer allowed him to swoop down and pick her up, resting her head against his chest as he carried her away to the cottage he spoke of. She had no clue where she was or where she'd run off too. All she knew was that she was tired now, but her friend's arms around her brought a certain feeling of safety that she didn't have before.

"Where am I?" she asked weakly, keeping her eyes shut but listening for Barnaby's voice.

Summer took his words and thought them over. He sounded serious. It was perhaps one of their first few serious conversations that didn't involve spitting insults or yelling at each other in who knew how many years.

Honestly, she could appreciate these moments.

"Okay. We move on then."

Knox didn't verbally apologize, say "I'm sorry," and Summer didn't say "I'm sorry" either. They moved on. It was the Prescott way, it seemed.

They touched down, landing a wide breadth away from the home of their target.

"He has many fighting types guarding his place. Inside, outside, wherever. Keep your guard up."

With that, she stepped off, waiting for him to join her to recall her dragon.

As the events took place around her, Summer couldn't help but find herself get bored. She spotted Casey Fincher in the distance, and though she was going to approach, he seemed busy with some people. Leaguers, since she recognized the tattoos of one MATIAS SILPH.

She wasn't sure she had the patience to handle a conversation with a Silph in her right now.

She'd pull out her phone, messaging him that she was around if he wanted to meet up with her. Otherwise, she'd probably go somewhere else, away from the loud noise and the festivities.

Especially since a band came on to play. Terravolt? She'd never heard of them. Summer supposed she'd have to cope with their noise for now, rolling her eyes as she sipped a drink. Wait, what was that voice?

Summer approached, seeing her younger brother, jayden cross, and luka chêne. A strange mix, aside from Knox and Jayden. But she approached, since she knew the three nonetheless.

"What the fuck are you doing, harassing poor Miss Luka, Blue? Fuck off," she said almost tiredly, coming to stand almost protectively beside the other woman.

"You all seem rather lively..."

And, as if the event couldn't get more chaotic. Out of no where, the air felt like static, a purple fog seeming to fill the air. Summer furrowed her brows before the DISTORTION blew out. She heard aggressive growls, howls, noises from other Pokemon that were certainly not friendly.

With her three out, she looked around before throwing out a forth. ZOROARK. But, it seemed, as if affected by the distortion, it changed with the air. It's fur turned white, the tips turning scarlet and wipsy.

It let out a howl, it's transformation completed.

Typically, Summer Atreides didn't go on missions alone anymore. Not sense she found out that she was with child, and if she ran into the wrong person, the wrong move could prove not detrimental to her, but to someone else now.

But this one was important, and she had ordered samuel carter rest. Whether or not he'd listen was up to him, but she left when he was either asleep or too busy with knox prescott to notice she'd slipped away.

Fuck his sensitive hearing.

After landing in Fortree, Summer retracted her CHARIZARD, waltzing calmly through the city to her destination. A building, where she'd have to break in and steal some important information.

She'd come rather disguised, since keeping up her image to the public was of utmost importance. She no longer looked like Summer Prescott. Rather, she wore a blonde wig, a particular eyepiece over one eye and exaggerating makeup to disguise herself.

"Stay alert," Summer ordered her ZOROARK, who stood hunched to her side.

Summer chuckled, sipping daintily on the beverage he had brought with her meal. Slowly, but surely, she was eating the food. It was settling her stomach a bit.

"It was common place for me to attend events like that alone, really. I was the face of the company when my father deemed himself too busy or didn't want to go. Not to mention, according to him, who didn't like seeing a beautiful and intelligent woman at those sorts of gatherings?"

She paused, setting aside the nearly empty plate. Perhaps a few small pieces of food remained, just too much for her to finish on her own. But she looked over at him, shaking her head.

"While I've had lovers in the past, I've never been one to actively seek out a relationship. I always figured that my father would use my single status for his own benefit. Or, in the end, he'd set me up with someone to build his empire stronger. It wasn't my desire to settle down with someone."

There was a brief pause before Summer smiled.

"Of course, things change, don't they? Here came this guy, with long purple hair in a berry field with a TREECKO. I wouldn't change anything."

She'd never felt love for someone like she did Casey. She never thought someone like herself could love like this. At first, it was terrifying. But, now, even through their entanglement, she knew she would be safe with him.

"If you'd like to invite him over sometime, you're more than welcome to. This place is equally your own as it is for Knox and Sam. Especially since you're going to be my husband."
