It’s a fun conversation, so despite the utter lack of potential romantic partners, Ceri doesn’t mind having been paired with luka chêne.

Even if she hadn’t known it back then, her childhood had taught Ceri just how bad being in love with a member of the royal family could be, and the bigger problem here is that sometimes Remiel reminds her a little too much of her father. As far as she’s aware, Luka definitely deserves better.

What is life without a little danger? She sure as hell would take those over not seeing what lies within the distortion. Imagine the possibilities! The potential discoveries!

So, she sits there, hidden amongst the tall grass as she observes the strange pokémon. With her phone in hand, she records their behaviour, not even having the common sense to have one of her own pokémon out of its pokéball to keep her safe in case anything happens.

No, she’s preoccupied with being fascinated by everything happening around her, especially when a Sneasel of unusual colouration shows up and starts fighting another strange pokémon.

All it takes is one jab, the noxious signs of fast-acting toxins showing themselves in an open wound as the other pokémon backs up with a cry.

Luckily for Luka, rarely does Ceri think people to be a waste of her time. She likes having interesting conversations, and while the differences between them provide for little room for business, they are amusing to discuss.

Ceri laughs, but her words are completely honest. After all, she spent the entirety of her childhood being told her family should be known and respected by the world, and these days there’s a deep seeded annoyance when even thinking about things like those.

So, even if she never shows any of this, Luka’s party trick comes as a welcomed distraction, and Ceri smiles brightly when hearing the sound of her own voice.

Ceri beamed at Elisabeth then, for even in Team Rocket, it was a rarity to find someone who shared a common interest in toxins. Most people avoided learning about things like those, drawn away from them by the thought of potential dangers. A silly notion to her, since toxins were everywhere and definitely not just being produced by pokémon.

”No wonder they sent you out of all people! A lot of grunts have issues with transporting grass type pokémon because they don’t account for things like pollen and spores, so they get a little too rough with the boxes. I worried when they asked me to come, thought I may have to hit someone for doing something dumb.”

She chuckled then, winking at Elisabeth. Could a girl as sweet and cheerful as Ceri actually hit someone? Maybe. With the right reasons, certainly.

There was an offer of herbs to help with her sea-sickness then, one appropriately made just as the boat began moving…

The explanation may not have been needed, but it came nevertheless, because in Ceri’s experience, a lot of people had a tendency to be skeptical about how helpful herbs could be. She knew the answer well.

”So… All work, no play?” It’s at this point that she taps on the card placed upon the table, the one meant to indicate her next partner and the purpose of their meeting. Business. ”Too bad, but oh well… What sort of business do you do?”

As she speaks, the Toxel frowns at the Togepi’s approach, turning around and starting to climb onto Ceri like the baby he is. She laughs, honestly finding it way too funny.
