matias leaves her with a salt-burned kiss, taking the sun with him as he goes. she watches the sky darken overhead, then a deluge comes down to shock the short-winded haze from the corners of her vision. she sits up fully, chest heaving like she had to endeavor to push herself upright, and sees mew's silhouette beyond the curtain of rain. [break][break]the psychic-type returns to her, tail flagging behind against water-slicked stone, then collapses in her lap. a life dew moves through her veins, driven beat by beat until her breathing starts to come easier and her pain abates. her hand hovers over mew. then, after a moment, she pats the legendary pokemon on the head, her gratefulness gift-wrapped in a tentative show of affection.
