He gazed through the waters following as such, though upon noting a familiar Gyarados whip his way over once more, he lifted his head to meet the gaze of the beast as it seemed to roar at him from beneath the muffled, aquatic surroundings.[break][break]

Catching on, the Stone nodded with a small smile, promptly reaching over and grabbing onto one of the serpent's scales before allowing him to pull him towards the next location.[break][break]

Just as he'd done with the others, he'd been quick to tap its button atop the Hunttail's head— and just before it seemed to lash forward in what he could only assume would have been a had, had he not reacted enough.[break][break]

After examining his hand and arm to ensure he'd been unscathed, he gently rolled the Pokeball off to the side before casting his line out again.[break][break]

Although he hadn't quite had the same luck in staying atop the seat as others seemed to, he did have to admit— the dunk was refreshing, in itself. It gave him just enough of a reprise before leaving once more, all the sake of bearing witness to the rest of the splashfest festivities.[break][break]

Even with reprise and other sights in mind, however, the allure of the dunk tank always seemed to bring him back.[break][break]

And thus did he return once more, taking one of the Pokeballs on display into a hand as he lined it up with the target afar. It was a thought unspoken (obviously, lest he start to drown) as he bore witness to a familiar, dual-colored sphere before long. To some extent, he found it a bit concerning to think about just how many capsules had been so haphazardly tossed into the ocean—even if it had been for the sake of the festivities—but nevertheless, it had its uses.[break][break]

Just like the others, he tucked it away into his netted bag before moving onto another spot that caught his eye.[break][break]

With another Pokeball readied to temporarily hold his next catch, he maintained a firm hold of both fishing rod and line, pulling it towards himself once the latter had rendered itself taut. As the bicolored creature soared into the air from the force of the pull, he already lifted the capsule up, meeting it halfway and watching it rescind within its binds as he tapped it (as softly as possible) against its face.[break][break]

By the time he'd made his rounds around the festivities and found himself back at the tank once more, there seemed to be a new face that he hadn't recalled prior. While a stranger he may have been, the Stone had to admit that it was nice to see others take a light to the attractions left for the public to interact with.[break][break]

In addition to the enjoyment of others, it also meant that he had another target, whether for better or for worse.[break][break]

Another shard of some sort, by the look of it— and one that labeled the start of another venture back to shore.[break][break]

He’d taken a number more findings compared to his last trips back, after all, and his Noivern had been hosting an uncharacteristic patience by the time he and his Gyarados returned to the sands above. …It may have been his fixation on the various shinies and the like that he’d been put in charge of watching, but whatever the reason may have actually been, it was out of mind for the trainer as he made his way back to the water.[break][break]

And so he leaped back in, quickly finding the scales of his serpent and grasping on before riding alongside its path and towards another glittering spot amidst the deep water sands.[break][break]

Regardless of whether or not he’d known the people atop the seat, the Stone still found himself returning time and time again— and as he still found himself vaguely dripping from his most recent time in the tank, altogether, he’d also found himself at the start of the line again.[break][break]

Normally sized as it seemed to be, Leo found himself needing to take a breath after hauling his most recent catch in, only finding a brief reprise after tapping a Pokeball against its head. He set it down alongside the other few he’d captured, humming lowly in thought.[break][break]

…He hadn’t an idea of how long he’d keep doing this, nor how many Pokemon he’d end up with before long, but he figured that one amidst the growing pool would stay with him.[break][break]

The others would be released, of course— but that would be when his fishing venture was done and over with. For the meantime, he simply leaned over to take the hook between his fingers long enough to attach another piece of bait before casting it out into the water again.
