Another busy night at the Ristorante Camus. Tables were full, waiters were running around doing their best, conversations were happening, costumers were laughing and enjoying their time. Noah was sure that at some point a group of people even sang happy birthday out there but Noah's body was busy cooking up a storm in the kitchen along with his father, there had been no problems nor hiccups in the kitchen so everything was as smooth as a well oiled pan. Unlike Noah's mind that was running around at 100 miles per hour, he liked all of this, he loved his family but this was not the thing he wanted. His future, his goals, his dreams, Hailee, his aspirations. Everything coming in all at once.

One of those was just outside the kitchen, Hailee had taken upon herself to help in the restaurant tonight and that simple act of kindness and probably the need of some money made Noah's day so much better, he definitely worked harder than normal because she was there and he was there and 70% of his brain was like this for the same reason. Hailee held this power whenever she was around to make Noah think about life and what he wanted, maybe because of how she was or maybe because he wanted more for himself so he could be there for her.

"Hey hey! One spicy Krabber risotto, one medium rare Miltank steak and one Feebas fillet with mashed potatoes for table 9!" Noah would command towards the the waiting staff so someone could come pick up the plates at the pass through window. The young sous chef would watch a bit through the same window as people left and the night finally started becoming slower. It was almost time that Noah would make food for the staff and for his family to make sure everyone went home well fed, it was a somewhat of a thank you that Noah liked to do after a busy day, it helped with morale and it was always nice to see the people he worked with happy.

So far so good but the work had pretty much just began for the two Rangers. Once they did begin and their first try was successful it made Noah feel much more comfortable and confident with what they were doing, something to do with seeing Elinor work also gave him muse to try his hardest and help out those flying types find a new safe home and hopefully not get his eyeballs plucked by a Pidgey, what a horrible way to go and Elinor would have to be the one to call it in. Never mind he was starting to get slightly anxious again.

Seeing that Elinor also didn't know what to do with the left over nests, Noah would point towards a safe looking corner away from any traffic. "Put the nest over there, Titan." Noah himself would move towards the next pole and look upwards as if he was waiting for a miracle to happen and he wouldn't have to climb up. Alas he had to to go up and check the nest. Titan once again would stand under Noah waiting for any slip ups just in case.

Once Noah had slowly and shakily made his way up tot the nest he would slowly peek his head up to check the contents of the nest itself. Looking over the twigs and branches the two gleaming green eyes would witness something spectacular. Three little Pidgeys would instantly start chirping at him, shell shards still around the nest. "Uuuuuuuuuh Elinor! I think we have a problem here." Noah would try to look for his fellow Ranger from up there. "There's three little ones here and no adult in sight... You think if we move the nest the parents will be able to find them again?" It would be an awful thing if they moved the nest but the little ones ended up getting lost from it's parents.

The good ol'days, the years of youth that had been spent inside a kitchen, the heat, the crackling of hot you, the many aromas that filled the place up, the bustling noises that filled the family restaurant as costumers came and went, the smiles of Noah's parents as they worked and made their life what they wanted. Noah wasn't exactly the most pleased with his situation like his parents were, he did love them and he did enjoy learning to make amazing food but that was not what he wanted for his life.

Recently some weird things have been happening with the restaurants in Slateport. Packs of rattata have been attacking and messing up restaurants all over, it seemed like a unnatural occurrence but anytime the authorities have been contacted they could never find anything that could count as foul play. The information had been passed from owner to owner so the community as a whole could protected one another in their own way, some would put up traps, others would make sure things were locked up even tighter. It had been worrisome for Noah's father with a somewhat new restaurant that was still trying to establish it's name against the competition.

"One Spicy Octillery and an olive and garlic Wishcash for table twelve!" A commanding voice would come out from the kitchen as Noah places the two plates at the pass-through for the waiters to take them to their appropriate table. Just another normal day, for now.

The slow nights of Lavaridge Town. Noah had been sent to the place to patrol the streets filled with tourists and old people, if he had not been walking around he would be sleeping at how boring and slow it had been ever since he had come here. Noah himself had thought that it would be a good chance to partake of the hot springs on his off hours. He couldn't wait to just relax and take a break from the world and sit still in the springs by himself.

Not having his pokemon out during late nights due to the noise a tyranitar would cause and that it would just be faster for Noah to move around the houses and alleys if he did not have a big creature following him around. He really did not want any trouble with the older folk that lived here, everyone knew that the wrath of old retired folk was something to not mess with, especially if you were young and didn't want to be cursed for the rest of your life.

While patrolling around Noah couldn't help but notice the weirdly bubbling sounds coming from the waters, last time he made his rounds here it didn't sound like that. Stopping for a second so he could fully pay attention. "Please don't tell me the volcano is going nuts while I'm here." He would say with the most deadpan face one could muster. Going around the building to fully investigate and find out what was truly causing this problem, hoping to god it was just someone turning the bubbles on max somehow.

Tyranitar had been the pokemon that grew up with Noah, it was his precious big boy and honestly the only pokemon that Noah had that would be combat ready. Thankfully he knew that his pokemon was raised well enough that he became a gentle giant. He was also happy that he had a tall pokemon to help them otherwise he would have some problems with heights, but hey he was not going to mention that right now or back down in front of Elinor.

"Yeah yeah. I'll move on to this next one right here. Yup! This one. Mhmm. This power line right here and this power pole with the nest." Noah would say looking up at the other pole in front of him. Slowly climbing up the power pole and having his Tyranitar kind of reach out towards him in case he ended up falling. Making sure to not look down at all he would peek into the nest to notice the nest was empty, that made him quite happy. Taking a breath of relief he would look towards Elinor. "This one is empty!" Malik would then start to carefully undo the parts that were actually connecting it to the power pole.

"Hold on to this carefully. Titan." Noah would reach the nest towards his pokemon and give it to him. Making sure to take one step down at a time to get back to the ground safely. Once the Ranger had reached the safety of the floor he would once again communicate to Elinor. "That wasn't as hard as I expected hahahaaaaaaaa. Phew. So where should we leave the empty nests?" He was sure if the nests had been abandoned they wouldn't be reusable but he didn't just want to get rid of it just in case.

Back to what had been one of Noah's favorite towns, Lilycove. The fresh air from the sea was something that he could never get used to but also something he never wanted to get used to, it was new and refreshing both for body and mind. But wait, where was that refreshing breeze that should be hitting his skin right now? Being outside right felt like opening a industrial oven, the heat was so much it felt heavy, as if Noah had actually been hit by heat. Not at all what the Ranger remembered from his last visit, there was heat and sun but it was bearable, it was nice.

Noah had been sent there for a job, he just had no clue what it was about right now. Clearly it must be because of the heat, not knowing what he could do to fix things though. "Damnn it, Arceus! I can't change the weather!" He would curse to himself as he tried to rush towards the meeting spot where Rangers from all over had been called. This was big, bigger than him and his lack of knowledge of the things that were happening all over right now.

Having to hydrate himself pretty much every single step of the way. Now witnessing the problems that this crazy heatwave was creating all over the city. Pokemon were suffering, their owners were suffering too but Noah's real fear were for the wild pokemon who didn't have anyone to take care of them or a house with the blessing that was an AC unit. Perhaps this was the job he was called for, sadly he would only fully find out once he reached the meeting point and partnered up with another Ranger he had never met before. Exciting but still worrisome.

So there was like a 80% chance that they would have to fight at least one pokemon, which was very unfortunate. Noah was never a fan of putting pokemon into dangerous scenarios even if it was a controlled environment like a battle between a trained pokemon and a wild pokemon. "I see. so a battle is most likely inevitable." The number of nests only making that percentage higher and higher. But thankfully what Elinor said was true too. They had the two birds with them that be their trump card on getting some of the pokemon to move peacefully, especially if any of the nesting birds were of the same species as the two.

"True. The two will be a viable secret weapon for our plans today!" Noah would say happily towards the two birds, the amazing duo. Thankfully to follow up on Elinor's plans, the boy himself also had some pokemon snacks, granted that was for his own pokemon but he wouldn't say that. "He hey! if the pokemon get to eat something we should too. It's only fair." He would say joining her on the joke. "Well my family owns a restaurant so it would be nice for me to bring something back for them." He didn't have to explain his reasoning but he also didn't want her thinking he just wanted to laze around and eat.

"But yes!" He would clap both of his hands together. "Back to business." Noah would reach out and grab one of his pokeballs to let out his Tyranitar. "We're gonna have some work to do big boy!" Noah would say patting the pokemon in it's back. "He should be help enough for now. So how do we begin?" Noah was now hyped and looking forward to finally get some action going.

"You like what you see then?" She really didn't know what went on inside Noah's brain, the feelings in his heart and the truth that he has kept locked up. Of course he liked what he saw, for that one split second of her striking a small pose and chuckling that was all he saw in the world and what a beautiful world it was. Noah couldn't help but smile as he was lost in space, time and Hailee's beauty.

Noah would put himself together as Hailee let go of his hand, still looking a little red, maybe it was just the sun, right? "We should all have come prepared you little rascal!" Noah would say teasingly but still deeply considering giving her a flick in the forehead. "Since I calculated this I made sure to make us food!" The boy would say striking his own pose this time as if he was some kind of super hero. In truth he had no plan, he had guessed they could go with the flow and do what the volunteers did. "Firstly my plan is to get changed into something more water friendly. We'll both be ready to get wet then." Noah sadly missing Hailee's little "wet" joke. His mind not yet twisted enough to catch such things, for now. "Could you please keep a lookout while I change? AND HEY! NO PEEKING!" Noah would say as he started to undress and scavenge around his backpack for his swimming trunks.

As soon as he was done changing he'd give Hailee a wave and start moving towards the volunteers. "Hey there! We're the two Rangers assigned to help you guys. Is there anything specific you need us to do?" The best way to find out what the plan is... Was to ask. One of the more mature guys would look up from one of the thermal boxes towards the two Rangers and speak up. "Happy to have two youngsters here! A raspy but comforting voice, fit for a leader. "I would ask for you two to join the Corsola in the water and keep the predators at bay while they move. Of course you two wouldn't be alone, we would have people both in the water and around doing the same." Noah would shake his head in agreement, it seemed like a very sensible plan and easy to follow. "I do believe we both have some water boys with us so it should be safe. Also may I leave my backpack here with your supplies?" Noah would ask since he didn't want to carry his bag into the water with him. The man would simply point him towards a corner where there were some more thermal boxes.

Noah himself would turn his attention back to Hailee for the time being. "We have the plan! Are you ready to get wet Miss Hailee?" Noah would say with a teasingly tone, he was ready to work but also have fun.

Noah would listen to his peer's answer to his question about capturing the pokemon and releasing them in a different area. What she said was accurate enough for him to not even try and argue with her there. "I did assume that if they are with children trying to move them would lead to a battle regardless, wouldn't it?" Noah would state looking towards the many nests that lay in front of them, of various sizes and likely different pokemon.

"I doubt we could simply talk to them and they would pack up and leave. You think we would have to entice them with food somehow? those power lines are probably already safe enough for them to not want to leave in general." The only thing he could think of was trying to lure them out of there somehow, like a bait and switch in a way. This was turning out to be more puzzling than troublesome, he wondered how they had dealt with this problem in the past years or so because there was no way this was a new problem.

Now turning back towards his partner. "I got all the time in the world!" He would say with a confident smile. He had nowhere else to be at this point and nothing else important to do, he wanted to see this job done as cleanly and humane as possible so time was something he'd gladly sacrifice. "Well, actually. The only thing I would ask for is a lunch break." The Ranger would say with a chuckle. He wanted to try out the famous foods from Lilycove and this seemed like a fitting opportunity.
