In a matter of moments, the stoic intensity of the Elite Four devolves into a childish frustration. It might have been comical, if not for the fact that she knows him to be a very dangerous man.[break][break]
His tantrum doesn't last long, at least.[break][break]
"Plan?" She inquires, genuinely intrigued. "What sort of plan?"[break][break]
She'd already guessed at his reason for calling her here: to make use of her knowledge, expertise, or skills in some way. Did that mean his plan is...scientific in nature?[break][break]
"If you explain it to me, I can more accurately confirm for you its feasibility and effectiveness."[break][break]
No reason to get upset just yet: after all, he has not given the innovator anything to innovate with.

Andrea was smarter than most people likely gave her credit for, but Nomi had grown keenly aware of the clever mind behind the young woman's easy-going attitude and quirky kinship with Pokemon. And so it was with rapt attention, that Nomi listened to Andrea's assessment.[break][break]
"You bring up a good point," she mused. "They have already infiltrated Hoenn: many times. But I don't think they stay here."[break][break]
She couldn't quite explain it - perhaps it was merely intuition - but it seemed as if the DRK Triad were constantly traversing various dimensions and realms. Their agenda was far-reaching, and had cosmic consequences, after all.[break][break]
"So the trick will be to trap them on the outside while they'e away. It won't be easy...for the other reasons you stated. Some could be hiding out amongst us right now, for an extended period of time, waiting for the right moment to strike..."[break][break]
She'd seen them in Area Zero, too. But just assassins - none of the more prominent members. Maybe that mattered?[break][break]
"But..." she considered Andrea's proposal. "There is merit to your idea of seeking them out directly. Rather than fight them here, in Hoenn, we could do so...elsewhere."[break][break]
Of course they had a base: that made perfect, logical sense. Perhaps even several bases. But where was the hard part. When you could visit other realities, the possibilities were, quite literally, endless.[break][break]
"I just wish I knew where to start."[break][break]
Kallistatus seemed fond of Pon, circling the ogre with a buoyancy Nomi rarely ever saw them display.

"You already know about the unprovoked attack on me, by PENELOPE LIVY. You already know there are those in the League willing to do anything to oppose Rocket - even resort to violence."[break][break]
She folds her arms, surrounded by her kin. Each of the Unown stare at Theo, a small army of divine judges.[break][break]
"This is her doing, Underboss. I am confident of it. She wants to sow hatred of Rocket, rally the citizenry to rise up against us. We need to undo it, stir doubt amongst the masses - expose her, and the League, for their hypocrisy."[break][break]
They will agree, she thinks, glancing at her peers, waiting for the Beast and the Admin to speak their minds.

It is somewhat thrilling to watch a Rocket underboss crumple before the vastness of the cosmos. Not because she could not understand his awe, but because she could - because this, more than anything else, is the reason she no longer has patience for the trivial squabbles of mortals. This is but a fraction of what she has seen - what the Unown have revealed to her - and now he cannot ever unsee it, too.[break][break]
"Quaint is an understatement," she laughs. She has the authority now, for this is her realm.[break][break]
She ignores his demand to return home.[break][break]
"Lately, I have been curious about whether or not it's possible to reach other dimensions - and worlds - via this one."[break][break]
She speaks plainly - confidently - as the stars wheel overhead, and the Unown around them begin to dance to a rhythmic harmony.[break][break]
"Perhaps it connects to the Distortion World, somehow. Or the virtual simulations generated by the RKS Machine. Or the Interdream Zone accessible via Dream Mist. Maybe there's a way to open a portal into Ultra Space."[break][break]
She smiles at him, which could very well come off unnerving - depending on his point of view.[break][break]
"The DRK Triad also use the Unown for interdimensional travel. It's about time I learned how, don't you think?"

Time seems to stand still, the fate of their entire operation hanging by a delicate thread.[break][break]
And then, finally, the door opens.[break][break]
As it does, the Shaymin releases a super-powered SOLAR BEAM, inadvertently boosted by Pyro's ancient sunlight. Green energy rockets through the copies of the Gouging Fire, shattering shards of blue crystal in all directions. Nomi winces, sweat beading along her hairline as she concentrates on dissipating the deadly fragments before they can pierce her or Nenet.[break][break]
Pyro roars, opening its maw to blast a FLARE BLITZ at the League trainer and his Shaymin; these flames are also enhanced by the light flooding the room, powerfully bright. Whether her adversaries are able to dodge out of the way in time, Nomi does not get a chance to see, for she takes advantage of the attack to immediately teleport into the laboratory after Nenet.[break][break]
Before she can do anything else, however, her vision goes dark.[break][break]

"Hmm, it's your lucky day."

Nomi freezes. Her eyes widen in shock, unseeing even as the world flickers back into view. That voice. She knows that voice. She would know it anywhere; hears it in her dreams.[break][break]
A coin flips, spins in the air, and Nomi recalls with a heart-stopping dread the last time she'd seen him. Her own face, cold and calculating - no mere false persona, adopted for a mission, but the real thing - stares at her across timelines, the word EXALTED resonating through her soul as she whispers, "Father Winter."[break][break]
A starry beam of energy, a body thumping to the floor: the sights and sounds that drag her back to the current moment.[break][break]
Black-clad figures - faces masked, bodies outlined with the faintest hint of pixelation - have manifested around her. Kallistatus is there, hovering in front of her, sparkling with extraterrestrial potential. Somewhere behind her, she senses Pyro's fallen, crumpled form - defeated in the moment of her distraction by her would-be assassins.[break][break]
Everything else fades away. Their objective. The war. Rocket. The Visionary faces the DRK Triad, her true enemy, and a part of her knows - has always known - that they'd been watching for the exact right moment to strike.[break][break]
"Run!" She calls out to Nenet. "They're here for me."

Good? Was she good? She'd just been silently reprimanded by the love of her life for vaguely referencing her connection to a criminal organization.[break][break]
But when Avery said it, it was with the sort of casual certainty someone might use to note that the sky is blue. A law of the universe. An indisputable no-further-questions-your-honor truth. And that, more than anything else - more than all the quirky inside jokes and sisterly affections - sent a crack straight through Nomi's heart.[break][break]
"Parker's the good one," Nomi corrected automatically, no longer interested in her food. Her crimson gaze was intense, but not unkind. Merely adamant. She, too, knew many scientifically-backed historically-proven facts of life, and one of them happened to be that Parker was the one out of her league and always had been.[break][break]
"I mean, look at her!" Nomi's cheeks reddened as she gesticulated, making her case to Avery. "She's the hottest person I've ever met, and I'm just - I'm just a science nerd who's never done anything badass in my life. She's got defined abs, and a killer smile, and this - this amazing way of making me feel cared about, like for real. Like I'm a thing worth living for, you know?"[break][break]
Nomi finally sucked in a breath. Kallistatus hovered by Avery's shoulder, staring down at her pile of greasy delectables with a surprising amount of interest for a creature without a discernible mouth.[break][break]

She could fall asleep right then and there, nestled against Parker and covered in warm Piña Colada foam, but she keeps her eyes open and locked onto her lover. Long dew-dropped eyelashes flutter, cheeks flushed red and body quivering from the intensity of her unmaking, lips parting to speak in a breathless tone.[break][break]
"I love you," Nomi giggles, nosing Parker's cheek and pressing their foreheads together. Blue mingles with magenta, wet strands of hair sticking to their skin. "But please don't eat the bubble bath."[break][break]
But then her expression changes, a sudden intentionality replacing the blissful whimsy. Small hands that have never known a bloodied knuckle, their only callouses the academic kind (formed when pencil meets paper), make their way down to Parker's abs, splaying against the muscle.[break][break]
"You're mine," she declares, as if stating a scientifically proven hypothesis without a scrap of contradictory evidence. "I won't let anyone take you from me. Not now, not ever."[break][break]
One hand continues its journey, from stomach to thigh to the space in-between. Rarely does she take charge, but in this heady moment - drunk on home-ownership and relationship next-steps - the desire to possess consumes her. As her fingers find purchase, talented in their own right, she leans in to capture Parker's mouth in an uncharacteristically assertive kiss.

It is no trivial matter, befriending a Shaymin. As the petite mythical replaces the fallen Glaceon, Nomi is struck with a newfound respect for the League trainer. She knows the trials required, understands the emotional toll: the gifts of the Gracidea are always hard-won.[break][break]
She will need more fire power.[break][break]
A quick flick of her wrist and a flash of golden light: Pyro appears, roaring with primeval fury. Nomi and her Gouging Fire leap after Nenet, racing towards the locked door leading into the classified laboratory where the League's extraterrestrial secrets are kept. It would be easy for Nomi to teleport into the chamber beyond, but the presence of Nenet - USB in hand - is critical to the success of their mission. Nomi does not have the badge clearance or hacking expertise to open the door, even from the inside.[break][break]
But Mark Cunningham does.[break][break]
Any second now...[break][break]
The door does not open.[break][break]
A flurry of razor-sharp pink petals cut down the remaining Rocket grunts. Pyro glows with the power of a long-forgotten, ancient sunlight, the heat of the primal SUNNY DAY filling the corridor.[break][break]
And still, the door does not open.[break][break]
A creeping doubt begins to tug at Nomi's chest, followed by a cold, harrowing dread. Had Mark betrayed them? Had she miscalculated somehow, their timing off by just enough to ruin the entire operation? All of a sudden, her confidence falters, and Nomi stands frozen before the League trainer and his Shaymin, paralyzed by the cruelty of fate's design.[break][break]
Stall for time, the logical part of her brain urges. Someone could be interfering with Mark's work.[break][break]
"Pay close attention," she addresses her defiant adversary, finding her composure. Her mask does not crack as she flashes a cruel, mocking smile. "It is a privilege to witness the altering of reality."[break][break]
She raises a hand and gestures, tendrils of blue crystal spider-webbing out from her fingers like lightening. Three perfectly-formed copies of Nomi's Gouging Fire manifest beside the real one, identical save for their color. They waste no time in advancing, cornering Nenet and her would-be protector against the door.[break][break]
The stellar Kallistatus lingers behind, its singular eye turned away from the battle in ominous fashion, sensing a familiar danger the Visionary does not yet notice.

There isn't a single word in any language capable of properly describing the profound, reality-altering way love has transformed Naomi Sato into the person she is now: standing next to an overflowing bathtub, gazing down at this perfect woman who smirks at her and beckons in a typically crude fashion. It is true spell-work, a lesson in sanctity, and for all the ways she pokes and prods at fate with her divine will, there is, perhaps, a collection of letters that come close to hitting the mark.[break][break]
Cupcake, she calls her.[break][break]
"Is that so?"[break][break]
She crests the lip, dainty in her submerging, more water splashing onto the tile floor. She straddles Parker, gripping the slippery cast iron in both hands, and lowers herself slowly - so very slowly. A tease, always. It makes the first taste all the more delicious, she knows.[break][break]
But all too soon, she squirms with breathless impatience, unable to keep her warmth from an all-too eager tongue. The bathwater is hot, but she burns from the inside now, a princess atop her throne. Every fiber of her being attunes to the rhythm of desire as she moves her hips, until she is blinded not by visions, not by prophecies, not by oracles but by something far more primal. Far more simple. Far more human.[break][break]

"Dr. Nzingha," Nomi greets cooly, feigning irritation.[break][break]
She'd rehearsed this part countless times in front of the bathroom mirror - and then again, for Parker, just to be sure. She does her best to impersonate Elisabeth Fiorelli, who's disdain for the average person comes as easily to her as breathing.[break][break]
"There are far more pressing matters than continuing with my academic career, unfortunately. But I suppose one as cloistered and single-minded as yourself would fail to understand that."[break][break]
A subtle shake of her head, followed by a genuine expression of disappointment: not because her speech about Nenet is true, but because the threat of the DRK Triad really hadn't reached as many people as Nomi had hoped it would. It's her own failures she channels now, in her attempt to act the villain.[break][break]
The best lies hold a measure of truth.[break][break]
Red eyes flick back to the young man. Their plan had accounted for the likelihood of skilled League operatives being positioned inside of the space center, for added protection - so the fact that only one had rushed to Nenet's aid is a boon in their favor.[break][break]
"Not afraid of me?" She cocks her head, bob of blue hair framing a curious face.[break][break]
As the ICE SHARDS manifest around the young man's Glaceon, Kallistatus begins to glow with the light of a thousand stars. Drawing from both its connection to the infinite galaxies of the Unown Dimension and the power of Nomi's Tera Orb, it crystallizes into a stellar version of itself.[break][break]
Then she smiles, and it is not kind.[break][break]
"You will be."[break][break]
Blinking out of existence seconds before the deadly icicles can impale her, Nomi reappears across the room, directly behind Nenet. At the same time, Kallistatus unleashes a STELLAR TERA BLAST at the Glaceon. Blindingly bright, Nomi takes advantage of the moments before the young man would realize where she'd gone to whisper into Nenet's ear.[break][break]
"Your signal has reached MissingNo. He will open the vault as planned."[break][break]
Then, louder, she demands, "Give me the data, Dr. Nzingha, and I'll leave you unharmed."[break][break]
Which, naturally, is Nenet's cue to run.

Nomi doesn't notice, either: the risk of overflow. She's too busy fisting magenta hair as Parker bows before her, knees on tile, teeth snapping at the underwire of her bra like a hungry shark. As one very talented tongue teases the most sensitive areas along Nomi's chest, she melts into a melody of moaning that bounces around in euphonious harmony thanks to the bathroom's crisp acoustics.[break][break]
Parker's an expert, mouth cascading through the various stages of pleasure: light kissing becomes needy biting becomes passionate bruising. Nomi's lower back arches against the side of the tub, and she hooks a leg over Parker's shoulder: a bold invitation to venture downwards that she is certain her lover will be unable to resist.[break][break]
Hot water - scalding, really - splashes onto her as it crests the lip of the tub, causing Nomi to jerk in surprise.[break][break]
"The bath!" She remembers, untangling herself from Parker and whirling around to fiddle with the faucet knobs. The tub is so full, they will surely soak the entire floor if they both get in. Cheeks flushed, stomach fluttering, entire body wanting, she giggles.[break][break]
Nomi turns back to Parker, crimson eyes a taunting majesty of desire, her smile wide with mirth. Regarding the other woman still kneeling before her, it is with a sudden, crystal-clear clarity - awestruck with acceptance - that she understands completely, at last, that Parker will really do anything she ever asks, even if it's to throw away her own life.[break][break]
"You first," she orders, pointing at the mountain of tropical-scented foam.

TFW Prelude Mossdeep Scenario 1
featuring Zev Harcourt and Gwyar Wledig

God General Zev Harcourt leads the Rocket offensive, while Gym Leader Gwyar Wledig leads the island's defense. The two inevitably clash. ZEV HARCOURT must buy time for Mark Cunningham, Alba Evovae, Naomi Sato and Neffatari Nzingha to hack/gather intel in the Mossdeep space center. GWYAR WLEDIG must buy time for Yujin Ha to fire/activate coastal artillery on rocket ships, after choosing to send reinforcements to the space center.

As Neffatari Nzingha works at the space center (as an undercover Rocket, who has secretly granted access to other members of Rocket), The Visionary leads a team of Team Rocket grunts into the building. As alarms blare, Noel Parker arrives on the scene. A potent threat toward their efforts, Naomi Sato leads the two on a wild goose chase into the observatory's restricted sections, until they reach a door they cannot bypass until Mark Cunningham opens it remotely via hacking efforts. However, the operation is complicated by unplanned developments, including the appearance of a familiar threat...

TFW Prelude Mossdeep Scenario 3
featuring Mark Cunningham and giada morgan

Thanks to Neffatari Nzingha and Naomi Sato's distractions, Mark Cunningham is able to infiltrate Mossdeep Space Center's computer room. As he attempts to break into the security system, he's interrupted by a former thief and Rocket: giada morgan. She must contend with her guilt while the Rocket hacker struggles to keep the entire operation afloat at the risk of his own life.

Heavy rainfall is interrupted by unnatural periods of sunlight and the occasional ELECTRIC TERRAIN. A familiar face (elijah gardner) tempts Nabi during her desperate attempt at survival, while Elaine tries to safekeep retrieved data for the League.

Yujin must alert Gym Leader Gwyar Wledig of Rocket's presence at the Space Center using her comms, prompting the man to send reinforcements. Yujin also knows that Elaine Highland has left the Space Center safeguarding some important intel...

TFW Prelude Mossdeep Scenario 12
featuring Alba Evovae and Greyson Connors

A sudden explosion tosses Alba Evovae out of the Mossdeep Space Center's archives. Although he has been unable to discover anything in regards to the memetic Galar, his forced ejection from the building brings him to the closest thing he can get for an answer: Zamazenta himself. As Elite Four Greyson Connors defends against an attack from the northern seas, Alba's memories of Goodbye Galar come flooding back.

TFW Prelude Mossdeep Scenario 13
featuring mint frost, lam logan, and raphael dos plumas

On the foreshore of Mossdeep, lam logan must not only contend with the violent Rocket incursion but also the betrayal of a friend. Merely a cover, cast into the fire for the glory of Team Rocket, they are easily overcome by Noel Parker and his Glaceon. As they battle, the faintest of vibrations ripple through the air, delivering the message within Neffatari Nzingha's cleverly placed signal to its intended recipients. Invisible to the average onlooker, the eyes of god spread out across the city, ever vigilant in their divine purpose: to bear witness. To remember. To endure.[break][break]
It is time, they sing, to the rhythm of war.[break][break]
In the middle of the Space Center's primary atrium, blue crystals begin to grow out of thin air.[break][break]
They coalesce into the shape of a portal, sharp edges glittering dangerously beneath the fluorescent lights. Reality makes way for the shape of a petite woman, draped in black and carrying herself with a detached elegance. Close-cropped blue hair, the exact same shade as the crystals surrounding her, frames a delicate face. Red eyes sweep the makeshift battlefield, ignoring the groans of the defeated, until they find Noel Parker and latch onto him like twin lasers.[break][break]
"Hello," She greets him, cold and calculating. "I am the Visionary."[break][break]
A shiny Unown-K manifests above her shoulder, its singular eye scrutinizing as it locks onto the Glaceon.[break][break]
Once, the woman named Naomi Sato would have offered wisdom instead of violence. Once, that same woman would have attempted to speak to the young, defiant trainer: patiently explaining to him the merits of a ceasefire, in order to unite against a greater threat.[break][break]
Never let yourself be complacent. Not with gods, and not with anyone.[break][break]
This Naomi Sato's heart has been hardened by failure, her patience eroded by grief, her compassion burned away by PENELOPE LIVY's unwarranted hatred. This Naomi Sato is here to steal secrets, and maybe, just maybe, she will be able to use them to further her own goals.[break][break]
She will save them all, one way or another.[break][break]

"You've come around, then?" It is a rhetorical question, given his mentioning of the topic, but she cannot keep the slight amusement from her expression. "To realizing that the the DRK Triad is our greatest threat?"[break][break]
No, his body language screams. Not quite. Maybe it isn't hate, anymore, but it isn't trust, either. Rocket will always be his enemy, even if he can see the forest for the trees.[break][break]
"They are not Avatars, no. In fact, they fear Avatars - supposedly due to our unstable, anomalous natures, but I think it is because they cannot stand against us. Especially not if we all united."[break][break]
A lofty plan, one she may never accomplish, in the end.[break][break]
"But they do wield a tremendous amount of power. They have access to technologies we can only dream of: ways of traversing Ultra Space, other dimensions, and even virtual spaces, such as the RKS Machine." There is a note of envy in her voice. "They can chain legendary Pokemon to their will. It's not a bond so much as a cage. You saw the way Dialga and Palkia were confined and controlled by them a while back, yes?" She assumes a man of his station had been involved in the Meteno incident. "So we have that to contend with."[break][break]
Not to mention the Unown still under their influence.

Not an alliance, an understanding. One world-ending god acknowledging another, with the respect deserved for being on equal footing in terms of power.[break][break]
Nomi took note of that. Not so much because she did not trust Zev and Necrozma to uphold their agreement - to hunt the DRK Triad with her - but because it was simply logical to have mitigations in place for whatever might come next, in terms of escalation...should Necrozma prove dangerous to Hoenn, in the end.[break][break]
And of course, the same could be said of Palkia.[break][break]
"I would advise an alliance, then," she urged. "I am confident she will help us - help you - destroy the DRK Triad. Palkia was once chained by them, too, after all."[break][break]
The song of vengeance ran through the veins of all those the Triad has attempted to control: the Unown, Necrozma, Palkia. Dialga, too, wherever it was.[break][break]
"In any case, laying a trap would be ideal. I will make it my top priority to figure out the best method of doing so."[break][break]
She sighed, then, clearly vexed.[break][break]
"If only we did not have to pour so much of our time and energy into this upcoming war," she lamented, not her first technically treasonous sentiment in regards to the Rocket agenda. "We cannot let it distract us, or hold us back, or delay us. Deal with the League quickly and efficiently, if we must."[break][break]
