Unlike THEO BECKETT, Nomi does not take out a Pokeball. Instead, she steps forward, positioning her smaller form slightly in front of Theo's taller one. She holds her head high, maintaining a mostly-steadfast masquerade of bravery in the face of a vengeful god crackling with the power of a thousand restless storms.[break][break]
"If it wants me, then it may find that I am not so easy to catch," she declares softly.[break][break]
Azure energy - the color of possibility - glitters around her, waiting to be summoned into action.[break][break]
The Zekrom opens its maw, its own neon blue scales illuminating with the charging of its power, roaring louder than any thunder. Nomi stands her ground, waits. Electricity buildds, until the dragon is ready. With a bellow, it releases a massive BOLT STRIKE in their direction.[break][break]
Seconds before their annihilation, Nomi wills Mîr to take them away. Nomi and Theo disappear, re-appering amidst a swirling endless galaxy of stars. Nomi turns, smiling, always happy to return here: her home away from home.[break][break]

Her patience was rewarded with an unexpected observation on the Underboss's part: not of PENELOPE LIVY, the voice behind the HNN Article, but of Navy and Isaac Merlo. Another moment of witless naiveté on her part, she realized. She had been so sure Elisabeth had not noticed her subtle interactions with the Elite Four and the Rocket defector. She'd assumed the heat of battle and the other woman's own hatred of both men would blind her to Nomi's true purpose.[break][break]
But it was a terribly difficult thing to fool a God, and Elisabeth had two on her side.[break][break]
"Yes," she agreed, steadfast and dutiful in the ownership of her actions. "I've convinced Navidson to listen to me, to believe me - that the DRK Triad is the greatest threat our region faces, and the faction conflict just a wasteful distraction."[break][break]
She held her head high despite the misery that her own failures had wrought.[break][break]
"He first allied himself with me during the conflict off the coast of Dewford - when that island appeared. Later, he gave me access to the League's RKS Machine, so that I could look for signs of the Triad in there."[break][break]
Did Elisabeth remember? That he had been the one to save her life so many months ago, by calling for Nomi to come and collect her battered and broken body?[break][break]
"Isaac..." she trailed off. "Isaac already understood my purpose. He needed no convincing. Holo attacked him in our RKS Machine at the same time she tried to stop me from ascending to Avatarship, if you remember."[break][break]
He and I...we were friends, once. Maybe we still are.[break][break]
"There are others, Underboss Fiorelli. League and civilian alike, people willing to unite with Rocket against a common threat, temporarily pausing our ongoing squabbles in favor of stopping an impending apocalypse."[break][break]

Mewtwo does not answer; does not even acknowledge Nomi. It stares, instead, at the collection of Unown swirling around it: the curious and the curiosity.[break][break]
Only Kallistatus hangs back, staying close to Nomi, as if sensing a trap. She takes a tentative step towards the enigmatic creature, pulling from the deep well of resolve that fuels her prophetic vision, fearful not of death but of failure. The region continues to suffer with every passing second.[break][break]
"The Unown call me The Visionary," she explains. "We need your help, if you are willing."[break][break]
The symbol on Mewtwo's forehead glows, drawing Nomi's gaze to it in hypnotic fashion. The Unown hum to the rhythm of inquiry.

It is so easy to lure Parker, but it is equally easy to compromise Nomi.[break][break]
Roguish words against her ear, calloused hands greedily squeezing supple skin, muscles tense against her much softer form: it is enough to send her into a spiral of heart-hammering need. Her stomach flutters as deft fingers slip beneath the lace, quick to find their destination, and she stammers out, breathless - " - yea-yeah. See?"[break][break]
She holds up the bath bomb, angling it behind her shoulder for Parker to sniff. Water fills the tub at an alarming speed, steam rising to further redden her already-flushed cheeks. A mew of pleasure escapes her lips as she waits for Parker's verdict, and then, not because it's time or because the water's ready - no, because there's a different heat rising, Parker's so good at this - she drops the bath bomb into the tub with a plop.[break][break]
"Can't go in like this," Nomi murmurs, sultry and low. "Someone ought to remove my clothes."

It's odd - how she can see and hear them inside of the simulation, like watching a film. This is unprecedented behavior for the RKS Machine. Kallistatus records all of it, every detail; Nomi will need to review later. Perhaps oscar clayton will have a moment to take apart pieces of the machine with her, when this is all said and done: try and make sense of the mysterious upgrade.[break][break]
Hitoshi Inoue makes his request, and Nomi furrows her brow. How, exactly, is she supposed to send them - [break][break]
An option pops up on the virtual screen, as if summoned by her confusion. The label glows with a soft luminescence, tempting her to choose it.[break][break]

She frowns. What about Hitoshi Inoue? After a moment of hesitation, she taps the screen with a single fingertip. The Sygna Suit option disappears, replaced by a new choice.[break][break]

She waits, watching as the items manifest inside the simulation, next to the two men. It reminds her of the way rewards were distributed in an RPG she played with jack wainwright once. If she didn't know any better, she would think this, too, was some kind of...game?

Necrozma in all its destructive glory appeared, then, and Nomi half-expected Zev Harcourt to emerge from the shadows around the titan. But this was a dream, not reality, and besides, there was a helpless Yveltal in the midst of getting murdered - which was not a thing Zev and his Patron had done, not yet. This was a dream, and though the gruesome sight turned her stomach, she quickly recovered.[break][break]
"Lulu...it can't hurt us, can it? If this is a dream?"[break][break]
Her voice sounded small to her own ears - as if traveling over a long distance, across miles and miles of frequencies and radio waves.[break][break]

Nomi touched a fingertip to the Meteno Deoxys Core, then pulled it back abruptly as the nevermelt ice coating it burned her skin.[break][break]
She sighed, lamenting her lack of progress in researching the alien object. She made a mental note to contact Makoto Kurumi; perhaps the Deoxys already in Rocket's possession would be able to wake its sleeping kin.[break][break]
War was coming. They needed all of the weapons they could get, even if she felt agitated by her leadership's fixation on conquest over conservation.[break][break]
The polite knock on her office door caught her attention, interrupting her dark musings. She blinked, looked up from her desk, and realized with a sudden surge of emotion who had just arrived. A smile began to etch its way across her lips at the thought of catching up with Lulu Flint; and yet - though it was genuine, the expression was tainted by a hint of apprehension, an unresolved tension between the two women.[break][break]

NOTES/COMMENTS:
This is an undercover operation by Rocket to infiltrate the Space Center (just in case it does get destroyed in the war) and steal classified important data/artifacts/whatever Shiv will let us take (premise approved by Shiv). In terms of character narrative, this is an opportunity for Nenet to "prove" her credibility as a League civilian (and not a Rocket), as well as an opportunity for Nomi and Nenet to grow closer in trust and partnership. Likewise, by putting Nomi in the Mossdeep raid, she will be away from her home in Sootopolis when it gets destroyed, which will be way more tragic for her (guilt and grief around not being there to protect it).
Prelude premise:
Nenet is at the Space Center working. A team of Rockets (NPCs), led by Nomi, break in and "attack" Nenet + her coworker NPCs. Noel shows up to defend the civilians; he and Nenet then fight against Nomi. This is all a show to "prove" Nenet isn't Rocket even though she actually is and a cover because as Nenet flees through the Space Center with her Pokemon defending her, she is actually leading Nomi and her team to their goal: stealing/taking xyz from the Space Center. Noel's presence will provide an added challenge for Nomi and Nenet, and allow Noel to get exposure to fighting another Avatar.

Her thorns were long, and her patience thin, the agenda of ruination wrapped around her like an ominous cloak.[break][break]
And yet. She had been right about PENELOPE LIVY. She had been right about the League. She had been right to caution Nomi on the consequences of trust.[break][break]
Still, it was an unfortunate altercation: certainly a clashing of ideals that would only result in a stalemate at best, tragedy at worst.[break][break]
"I'm sorry," she murmured. "Elisabeth can be...difficult."[break][break]
The Ogerpon seemed happy, however. She greedily gobbled Nomi's offering, which elicited a small smile from the Avatar.[break][break]
"If I cannot convince the League and Rocket to form some kind of allied army against the Triad, my next best idea is to attempt to stop them from infiltrating Hoenn in the first place," she explained. "Which means...figuring out how they use virtual worlds to travel here, as well as seeing if I can block their access to the Unown Dimension."
