Julia would probably only get a couple more shots at the dunk tank before Splashfest came to a close. Could she reclaim her thrown and gain another crown? It'd be nice if she could, but she wasn't too worked up about it; getting just one was already achievement enough. It looked like Josh Dragomir was the current one in the seat, though his Raichu had done the "throw" for him. That gave Julia an idea.

Ooh, ability capsules were handy! Julia wondered if any of her Pokémon could use a different ability. There would definitely be some internet searches later. Until then, it was back to treasure hunting!

Oh my gosh, this tiny Goldeen is so cute! Julia thought with glee. The other Goldeen that Julia had caught poked its head out of the water to look at the new arrival. When Julia set the tiny thing in the water, it immediately fell into place near its larger counterpart. So cute! Julia cast her line out again.

The Octillery that Julia pulled up was clinging to the line with its tentacles, looking rather confused. Julia couldn't help but giggle at the sight. "Hey, big guy," she said. "Mind letting go of that? I kinda need it." She reached out to unhook the Octillery, who followed Julia's lead and let go of the rod to land in the ocean. It swam down below the Mantine to hang out with the Remoraid there. With that settled, Julia cast her line again.

She felt like she was closer that time? Honestly, it was hard to tell. Unlike the other tricks, which required larger movements and good reflexes and coordination, this one relied on finesse. Only the judge would be able to tell if she'd done the Magikarp Splash correctly, even if she went through all the movements.

Yep, Julia still had no idea what this thing was! There sure were a lot of them, though. Did that mean she was lucky, or were they just common despite Julia's lack of knowledge? Eh, questions to be answered later. She pet Marina's head before directing her to another spot. The Huntail's bioluminescence made it a bit easier to spot something sticking out of the sand.

Julia cheered when Isaac Merlo was the third person to miss her. That was a crown for her! Then she realized she had just cheered for one of her new friends to miss her and gave an apologetic wave. "Good try!" she shouted.

[break][break]When she returned to the line after finally being dunked, boruta maher was up in the seat. She thought for a moment about giving someone else a chance to get the three-misses crown, but it wouldn't be fair to everyone else if she didn't try her best, would it? With that, she gave the ball a toss.

When Julia returned to Clamperl Diving the next day, it was with the freshly evolved Marina. Julia held onto the Huntail as she Dived through the ocean's depths. She wasn't the fastest swimmer, but she was still faster than Julia on her own. With Marina's help, Julia found a nice spot deeper in the ocean to start searching.
