More beaten into submission than how he felt now: his arm in a sling, his face and torso bandaged, one eye temporarily patched over while it healed. [break][break] The way he sunk into his arm chair was like a corpse into a coffin, resigned to spend eternity in a dead, haggard state.[break][break] But he couldn’t just wallow. No, while the one-day battle was over, war still waged in his mind.
