Evacuation procedures needed a deft hand in order to remember. For Pacifilog Town, a lot of evacuation came in the form of lifeboats, and for the most part, working on the town itself which stood by the sea was something Genny could do with relative ease. A hammer, a nail, and a Pokemon that understands the basics of hard work were incredibly useful for that very reason.[break][break]

So, one of her best for this very reason, a big blue Abomasnow named Frosty helped to keep the area cool, keep the sweltering hot sun at bay, and allowed Genny to work unimpeded. She hardly had to get a drink, but on such a hot day, she probably needed it.[break][break]

With a breath of fresh air, Genevieve turns her head, her phone going off. Apparently, there was a group of angry Carvanha heading this way.[break][break]

Genny scoffed a little. Pacifilog was just a melting pot of seafaring problems, but with a look towards Frosty, she pulls up a megaphone. "This is Ranger Cromwell, ordering for the immediate evac of Paciflog! Please find your closest lifeboat now!"[break][break]

People started moving, and she felt proud. Now.[break][break]

"Easy enough." Genevieve nods, continuing her stretches. It was one of those cases of wait and see, and know it when they'd see it. Not a bad thing at all, just a matter of sitting, and waiting, but upon being told that they should sit in the guard station, Genny would shrug. Either way, they'd get their culprit.[break][break]

His comment on the Rangers has her chortle a small laugh. "It keeps us busy, but that's just the Rangers for ya'. Just the other day, I had to write documentation on a little brawl inside of a cave, and before that, one on Team Rocket pirates on the open blue." One mission with lam logan, the other with Josh Devlin, two missions that left her positively swamped with work and clerical work, coming before exercise, training Pokemon, eating, et cetera. But if nothing else, it was fun.[break][break]

Guardian the Duskull continues to make small little bone crackling noises nearby, staring at the duo, as Genny continues stretching. Whatever was causing trouble here would be easily handled.[break][break]

"What do you do for fun, Kou?" she asks, not looking his direction, but giving him no less attention as she pulls a leg up to continue stretching. This was her typical workout routine, and Guardian was imitating.[break][break]

As well as a little cloaked skull could.

The Iron Hands shuts down upon the combination of Bone Rush and Disarming Voice, leaving the robotic menace to finally power down fully. The electricity in the room stops, the static stops filling the air, and with a moment to breathe, Genevieve can finally stop being in battle mode. That's exactly when, as Lam holds his fist out for a side-bump, she pauses.[break][break]

There he goes again. Together. Twenty years of going through time after time, alone. To grow accustomed to walking and standing on her own two feet. She couldn't be allowed to relax fully. Yes, the battle was won with minmal damage, but Genny couldn't forget it either.[break][break]

It's a small smile she affords Lam.[break][break]

She'd grown so cold and independent, and now, with her fist rising up to meet his own, she nodded. "Yeah." And then it went back down again.[break][break]

She wasn't alone anymore.[break][break]

Lammy does mention writing down documentation of the Iron Hands, and as she moves closer to inspect it, no fear pushing through her, she feels atop the metal, and pulls out her phone, taking pictures and writing a few notes.[break][break]

"Sounds like more office work." For the first time in a long while, she groans, but despite her discontent, shoots Lam a smile.[break][break]

"Thanks Lammy."

The edge is still there. It can't fully go away, and the trauma will likely persist for awhile, but for now instead of acting like a veteran of war, Genny go to let go to be just a girl. A woman in her mid 20's, able to laugh, to love, to enjoy the sunshine. The dark before the dawn, and it really did come through. When Izzy was cheekily stating how he loved the veggie one, Genny sticks her tongue out.[break][break]

"Early bird." she chimes in a sing-song tone. It was nice of Izzy to get her food, and almost as if to beat the Ralts to the punch, Genny's Kirlia, who had finally caught up with the Sylveon and Lycanroc, would open the box of sweets and retrieve one for herself.[break][break]

Oh. And the angel was definitely on the other Ralts-line.[break][break]

Zipping the manapua into her own mouth, as Serenity the Sylveon and Wander the Lycanroc both gave Isaac the look. Serenity, big shining eyes, and Wander would do the puppy thing... even if her more werewolf form made it look jarring. Genevieve looked over smugly, grabbing the first veggie manapua she could snatch, and began to bite into it.[break][break]

"Thank you, Izzy." She chimes, quietly chewing on it as she finally sees the puppy eyes of Wander and Serenity together.[break][break]

Truly. Being Izzy was suffering sometimes.[break][break]

Swallowing the first bite, happily enjoying the flavor, she holds it up to her lips, and covers her mouth a little, cleaning up. "I wish I had come earlier. The carnival really is a nice change of pace."

Genny had already been in Pacifilog when the call was made. She was busy eating some seafood, and the moment her phone went off, she looked over to see an immediate emergency assignment. She was called to take down a Gyarados who was rampaging on their way here to Pacifilog, one of the reasons he had been present to begin with was to be on standby. Placing her sushi platter down, she smiled to the lovely chef.[break][break]

"Thank you for your meal. I'll be right back."[break][break]

Getting out of the stall on the sea, she began to stretch, hands above her body, left, right, left, right. She had her swimsuit on, tying her hair up, and just about to dive when her hazel eyes met pink hair, and a hand waving her down. Two sets of gogo boots clack on the logs, and Genny stops entirely to find a very pretty pink-haired woman close by now.[break][break]

"Hi there!" She smiles ear to ear, a good bit of a grin now. To the question, she nods, holding up her phone. "Yup yup! Senior Ranger Cromwell. Call me Genny. I was here already on standby for the Ranger core in case that Gyarados got too close." With a Pokeball now out, she releases three Pokemon total. The first, a Marill named Bubbles, who came out with a happy blow of bubbles, as per her namesake. Then came the Pawmi, named lovingly Gigawatt, who gripped onto Genny's arm, and lifted himself up and down. Finally, a massive red wolf with burning red eyes appeared behind Genny, a midnight Lycanroc who would hiss at the water.[break][break]

With all three out, Genny would turn towards the pretty pinkette, and ask. "So, what's your name, stranger?" Genny hadn't realized it herself, but so much had she hung out with guys, she hardly had befriended any girls at all. There was annalise henderson , but... well. She hadn't seen her since the top Ranger stepped down! So this was an opportunity!

The little Yamper skids to a stop upon seeing the Pokeball, and though the pitter-patter of two paws couldn't exactly be the same as four, the wheels make another click-clacky to simulate the excitement. Even disabled, this Yamper loved life. Hence the name, Lucky.[break][break]

The ball runs past, and he immediately moves to grab it, and does a small u-turn with a little help, and stops again, as he returns to the woman who was now playing with him.[break][break]

Genny was watching at first. The shades made it hard for her to understand who this was, but there was a light, caring feeling that the orange-redhead felt. She takes a moment, strides upwards. And it's...[break][break]

As the Yamper trots in place, that Genevieve Cromwell understands who it is, and she freezes, upon being talked to. Her lips part, her hazel eyes stare, and she's caught off guard. "You're... Miss Miro." It's almost hard to contain her jubilation. Before the dog mission and the entirety of Galar, of which memories were becoming harder and harder to recall, this woman was one of her idols. Elite Four member, great musician.[break][break]

Her face is hot. She looks away.[break][break]

"S-Sorry. You're trying to be inconspicuous, aren't you?" She's sweating, placing both hands together in front of her, as the little Yamper barks with a Pokeball in their mouth, tail wagging. "No, he's not mine. I wish though. I'm just here helping out. Volunteer work." She could faint, right now. She could fall over and fall unconscious. Her body was shaking.[break][break]

Did she look nervous? She shouldn't look nervous. She needs to be rigid, she can't be nervous. There's no way she should be nervous, why would she ever want to be nervous that's preposterous. Oh god, she's going to mess this up, she's going to mess up this chance, she's FIDGETING.[break][break]

Pulling a bit of hair to her finger, she looks away as she twirls it. "G-G-Genevieve. Cromwell. My name. Genny. You can call me Genny." That nervousness pushed through her.[break][break]

Yet again, the Yamper barks.

Things finally were getting better. And, almost on cue like last year, during the Meteno crisis, Genevieve would take up some time in the Pokemon Center. The clinic was for humans, but this time, she wanted to help out the Pokemon that were hurt.[break][break]

In the actual room, there were a couple of Pokemon that were finding trouble. A Fletchling with a broken wing chirped weakly nearby, getting fed water and seeds to try and help it to health. An Eevee with a missing portion of their ear and scars on their feet. And then of course, some of the heaviest hitters. The deformed Pokemon that would smile, despite not being normal. Like... the Yamper who barked with no hind legs, and wagged his tail.[break][break]

It's in fact this little Yamper, that Genny is taking on rounds around the Pokemon Center, with two wheels in the back allowing him all the laps he wanted, so giddy and happy to be able to run, the sound of wheels click-clacking down the hall. Nurses and Chanseys were having trouble keeping balance.[break][break]

"You can do it, Lucky."[break][break]

Genny was following in close pursuit, the little Yamper having to slow down a little at turns, but able to with ease, as they felt complete. Genny was brightly smiling now, as she rounds the corner for little Lucky to keep running.

It's been a few weeks since ollie morales got her out of the bar, and Isaac Merlo got her out of her own mind. Just yesterday, lam logan and her went into a tunnel cave to scout things out, and honestly? She's feeling like she hit her stride.[break][break]

It was a call made already. One that sounded a lot more depressed than Genevieve had been. She was in such a slump, she barely even processed what she stated, but it went something like this to the receptionist.[break][break]

This is Gen... Genevieve Cromwell. If you could set up an appointment with paxton concordas, I would... like to meet with him. Thanks. Bye.[break][break]

Though part of her wanted to turn tail and run, she wasn't about to, but for intents and purposes she was looking a lot better since then. Hell, Izzy and her had a fun time at the carnival. And she looked incredibly casual today. There was no training session, nothing planned. Just... speaking. So her dress is a little more starry, thanks to a chance meeting at a masquerade with luka chêne back in the winter. She had adored the look.[break][break]

She wasn't usually such a girly girl but... today was an exception. She finally got to relax. So now... here, in Ever Grande City, she waits in a waiting room, hands on her lap. Her eyes on her belt of three Pokemon brought, one empty.[break][break]

Guardian the Duskull had taken comfort quite literally being invisible behind her. No one would hurt his human. Period.

Every walk of life is needed to rise to the top. A lesson she knew all too well. A good Ranger has versatility, and can fit any odd job. That's why tonight, she agreed to work to find a culprit. A thief in the night, a knife in the dark.[break][break]

The other guy had finished a lap around front. At first, she's staring at him, listening as he spoke. Apparently, there's some Pokemon problem, and after getting messed up, the owner ran for the hills.[break][break]

"Yeah. Genevieve, just call me Genny. Nice to meet you, Kou." She offers a soft smiles, leaning forward. Her smaller, four foot eleven frame barely that big at all. Truly, she was the shortest they came.[break][break]

Best get it out of the way.[break][break]

"So, we're just waiting for them to come, right?" She begins stretching, arms above her head and dipping back-and-forth. A few yoga positions to get herself in the mindset for a long night. Following with her, a red cloak and attire that peers out from nearby, mimicking her motions. A shiny Duskull, who without appendages, attempts to mimic her.
