One step into this new route and already Xenon hates everything about it as she finds herself in some sort of ancient fucking desert with savages building stone temples for some idiot nobody dead person. The girl scoffs as she crosses her arms and completely ignores all these fake workers building their tomb, walking past them and right up to the strange relic these people worshiped.

And for once Xenon looks at this ancient piece of history with a critical eye, walking around and observing from every angle as she analyzes the situation carefully. It's almost out of character for her to be so quiet around what was very obviously an important historic relic, something that anyone in Rocket would know is antithetical to the future obsessed Ultramodernist. Anyone who had the guts to call Admin Howard a "stupid fucking savage brained moron with maps where his cerebellum should be" very quickly picked up infamy amongst the organization, especially when they got away with it scot free.

So why was Xenon looking at this rock so carefully? Well obviously so she could find just the right angle to KICK IT and knock this entire structure over. "FUCK YOU YOU STUPID FUCKING ROCK!"

The monstrous hand grips tightly to her body, ripping through metal and bending her bones as it drags her out into the depths of space. The pain she feels isn't real, but she can't help but wince a little even then as she's squeezed like a rubber ball and pulled into the cold vacuum, the last thing she sees being Marguerite's terrified face as she reaches out for Xenon to no avail.

The scientist snaps back to life with a gasp as she sits up in her chair, wrenching the sensitive equipment from her head and throwing it at a waiting assistant who was monitoring their trip into the RKS System. And of course as usual, she looks absolutely pissed as she stands up all wobbly and leans up against the center console between the two Rockets. "Have we ever logged the giant hand route? If you ever see me heading for the space hand route, fucking pull me out early. Worthless fucking shitheap of a route talking about halls of origins and some other stupid shit."

Another executive monitoring the situation sighs and writes something down in a notepad. "But you are going to file your report faithfully right?"

"Hell yeah I just impaled a ghost, why the hell wouldn't I be able to? Stop using that bullshit common sense and you can do anything you can imagine." And wasn't that just the perfect summary of Xenon's life? A woman who stopped believing in common sense and practicality, a woman who truly believed in herself more than any other, a woman who was assured of her future and never stumbled or looked back.

The Interdream Mist begins to dissipate and she scoffs, it seems the Ultramodern Paradox she was searching for had disappeared into the ether for now, leaving behind only these worthless carcasses in their place. "Radon, pick up the malformed Volcarona reject. I think Tempest Quinn was interested in studying these things for some reason, might as well earn some brownie points with the guy who decides my budget." Xenon shakes her head and turns around as her Scolipede lowers her tail to scoop up the corpse of the Slither Wing, only a passing glance thrown at Dorian and Infernape as she walks behind her partner.

"Well I'd say it's been fun, but I'm not one for ooey gooey talk about wives and how much you love them. But if you ever find a sick Ultramodern Paradox I haven't seen before, feel free to swing by the lab, I've got a project going that I'm sure you'd want first dibs on." She says as she throws the briefest of looks over at Dorian, reaching out an arm and flicking his hat off his head as he stands there in shock. "Your hat sucks by the way, total old man fashion. Sunglasses indoors are kickass though, so you're not the worst."

In Xenon's book there was no difference between the words Ultramodern and maniac, to be a woman of the future meant discarding all common sense rooted in modernity and pursuing an entirely new set of morals and sense, always pushing the limits of life in chase of the next thrill. And with what she's achieved in such a short period of time to coming to the Hoenn region, can one even claim her to be wrong as she takes down yet another League member in the battle for Mirage Island? Her results truly speak for themselves.

The executive watches Luka hit the water with a grin, already patrolling around the area where she had splashed down and firing a few more Flash Cannons into the ocean to finish the job, though the quick dream mist that her Musharna had deployed was an effective smokescreen, enough so that most of her shots go very wide without any idea of where the girl actually was. It would only take half a minute for Xenon to get tired of shooting, mentally noting another kill in her black book and flying off in the direction that she had spotted Luka coming from, where she was sure to find many more targets all gathered up in one big group to be exterminated. It wasn't a perfect victory, she had got caught off guard for a brief period and she would need to find a way to negate EMPs like that in the future. But she had won even so, and that's all that matters in the end really. Another step towards the future.

Two Rockets versus an entire camp staffed with League Officers, the matchup was completely stilted, there was no chance for victory.

Six Pokemon are released all at once, twelve are approaching from all sides, in a fraction of a second Xenon's claws start tapping out rapidfire commands as she channels the power of Infinity Energy into her claw. Argon or Chromium, which one which one. Her eyes dart to the left, Jayden is Mega Evolving his Gengar, can't seem like a copycat when you're trying to show off, Chromium it is.

A cocoon of light envelops the Metagross as Thoron and Rhodium incinerate four of the attackers with a combination Flamethrower and Wild Charge, Jayden buys just enough time with his Sludge Wave for the Mega Evolution to complete. Four arms slam out with four different kinds of punches, another four of the attacking Pokemon are annihilated leaving four left. Indium is more than happy to set up for Terbium and Argon as he blasts two Pokemon with a hypnotic pattern, their fluttering eyes lead to the eternal sleep of death as the Gengar hits them with a deadly Night Shade, the Garchomp finishes the last two with a raging Dragon Rush. Six seconds have passed since the battle started, twelve Pokemon are dead at her hands.

The cocky bitch can't help but look at Jayden with a smug grin. "Not a bad setup Admin. But don't tell me you plan on letting me have every single kill?"

A clean hit, the fight barely even lasted a minute and already the Ultramodernist had sent yet another soul plunging down into the inky depths below. She can't help but let out a disappointed sigh as she leans over the neck of her beloved Rhodium and watches the girl fall down, one last Flash Cannon charging up just to finish the job before she went to go find another poor victim.

At least that was the plan, right up until she felt that tingle on the back of her neck again.

A wave of electromagnetic energy slams into the Iron Jugulis and its eyes go dark, engines cutting and altitude rapidly dropping as Xenon's eyes widen along with her smile. "So this is how you struggle and cling to life is it? Very well then, lets see who can hold out the longest!" Where Luka violently flails and gasps for air amidst the storming sea of terror as she faces her death head on, this woman can only scream with joy as she dives down after her, hands rooting around in her jacket for her lifeline with what little time she has left to spare. Pulling out another flying type Pokemon was more than doable, but to do so would be to abandon her beloved Rhodium to death, and she wasn't ready to step off this path to the future yet!

Ten seconds until impact with the ocean, she finds it in her inner left third pocket. A small tube humming with energy, energy she had drained from Rhodium over the course of a month, a perfect pick me up in desperate times like this! She jams the tubing into the central mouth and forces it closed, its eyes blink back to life with only five seconds left to spare. Engines slam back into motion, the Iron Jugulis pushes up as hard as it can and just barely skims the ocean surface, Xenon is back in the air and already searching for Luka to continue the fight. "Now do that again and maybe this time you can finish the job!"

A bone deep chill sets into Xenon's arm as she pulls Jayden along, yet she does not let go, not until she's lead the man to where they need to go. She recognizes the cold but she does not recoil, for a frost like this is hardly worth mentioning when compared to that tempestuous disaster, the calamity of rime that took this arm in the first place. She did her makeup and prosthetic work well, but fake skin peels back under the touch of the cold to reveal even colder metal underneath, a clawed gauntlet where flesh and blood once was. It is only when they've arrived that she lets go, not one second before and not one second after.

This is the path to the future she's leading him down after all, she'd be a poor guide to let go so soon.

As for his rank within the organization. Well she's made it no secret just how little she cares for things like position or authority, she only respected the strong.

As soon as he gives the go she's off, ducking into the intelligence tent and beelining it towards the fanciest looking desk as nonchalantly as she can. It's good that they're in an active warzone right now, with couriers running in and out dropping letters and encoded dossiers, a light sprint through the tent is hardly even noticed as she leans over and starts sorting through papers. A few catch her eye and she snatches them up for closer inspection, lines of attack leading through newly discovered portions of the ruins, solid points of ambush for any Rocket grunt stupid enough to get caught.

And all it takes are a few lines of ink to throw all those plans into disarray as she draws up new plans of attack, totally nonsensical routing to anyone with half a brain. The way things were plotted out now, squads would be attacking absolutely nothing, random trap filled corridors that they had already mapped, possibly even each other if they were stupid enough.

All in all it took her two minutes forty seven seconds to sabotage this camp's entire plan of attack for the rest of the campaign. Two minutes and forty seven seconds for Jayden to completely annihilate any shot of getting out of here quietly as he stood beside three frozen sculptures of what were once League officers, faces petrified in eternal fear.

"...I... found a lot yeah. A lot less of it is gonna be useful after we get out of here, but its salvageable." For a moment she considers reminding him about what she said not even three minutes ago about screaming if things need to go loud... but what the hell, that's ancient fucking history. An iron monstrosity lands on the ground as Xenon releases her Iron Thorns, the mechanical kaiju roaring its fury to the high heavens and getting the attention of undoubtedly every single living person in the base, probably a few of the dead too as ghost type Pokemon phase through the tents.
