Waves of relief wash over the ambassador when Aurelie says that it was water under the bridge now. The day of the commission was so long ago that the current war situation overshadowed that. Petalburg’s fall made her think a lot more on how she was going to help Rustboro’s security along with the gym leader.[break][break]

“I’m happy that you forgive me, Miss Lefevre.” She responds kindly to the red-headed woman before the attention is called over to the Calyrex shard that accompanies the princess’ Magearna. Elise expects that people would take notice, given that she has taken the shard everywhere to learn about the region itself.[break][break]

“Oh… Yes, that’s my Calyrex. His name is Charles.” Elise isn’t ashamed to admit that she had given her shard a name, an easy one to remember than just Calyrex. “Um… well, yes. He is not the same one as the one in Ever Grande’s Dyna Tree. He’s more of a piece of himself that the High King bestowed to me."[break][break]

Elise recalls that day well. The High King trusts her with the shard enough that he’d watch over how her progress was doing in learning newer things as a ruler figure.[break][break]

“Since he’s not the same as the real King, Charles is more of a baby that I’m taking care of. He follows my orders, both in and out of battle.” The Galarian royal answers Aurelie’s questions at a time and she’ll answer her last with a shake of her head. “He cannot speak since he lacks the ability to possess a person to speak through as a vessel, only that he says crown like his own name.”

She was sure if Remiel had become King, he would use his power for the good of their people. Her cousin had no desire now, he only had it when his father was still alive. When her uncle wasn’t killed in the den that very day that she had stayed in Galar to visit with her father’s bitter elder sister, the Queen.[break][break]

“That does make sense now, I thank you for giving me this endeavor to do.” She gives a nod, knowing that the endeavor itself was an ordeal that she learned about herself and what she did in her position. “I learned something about myself throughout this ordeal and how I can tell the League’s Calyrex how much I’ve learned in the dream.”[break][break]

And when she’s shown the Ordeal Badge in the hand of the young gym leader, she takes it gently into hers. “Thank you, I’ll accept this.” [break][break]

Gesturing for the Calyrex shard to follow her out of the room, the royal ambassador gives a wave of good-bye to the gym leader and his Pokemon before she’ll leave…with a new badge in tow.

That was a question that people ask her. Others feared ghosts because they were the creepy kind or the kind who curse people. She, on the other hand, had learned to commune with them ever since she was young. Her late mother made sure of that, the head of her family’s clan had always been the most spiritually gifted when it came to acting as a spirit medium and channeler.[break][break]

“The fondness of ghost Pokemon came from my own training under my late mother. She was the most capable spirit channeler and medium of her clan in Ecruteak City. I remember that she trained very hard to get to where her spiritual power was the greatest, even it overshadowed her great ancestress. With my own training, I learned to understand their thoughts and feelings of other Pokemon, not just ghost types.”[break][break]

Her explanation comes with answering the ranger’s serious question. Elise’s training came with being able to understand the thoughts and feelings of not just her ghost Pokemon, but all of the Pokemon that she meets with or owned under her care. The female Galarian royal was naturally empathetic, it did came from her own childhood with the rest of her cousins after all.[break][break]

“Shadow Ball and keep on his Charizard.” Her witch-like ghost floats through the air, she’s capable of following after the dragon with her own speed. A Shadow Ball is made and launched towards the flying orange dragon, unrelenting in its pursuit just like the princess’ Mismagius when she treats it like chasing after prey. If Thunderbolt missed, her opponent wouldn't keep avoiding it for long.

They were not very different from each other in terms of upbringing. She doesn’t think that her status makes her special to people and other people here in Hoenn wouldn’t give her special treatment. That was fine, she liked being treated normally instead of people bowing to her.[break][break]

“I don’t think my royal status makes me special and people don’t have to treat me this way here.” She’ll calmly state while the bubbling bitterness from the other Rocket lady is clear. “But I turned my own hardship, the verbal abuse from my aunt, into the sympathy I feel for the Galarian people. I’d fight for them.”[break][break]

Some people would question why she’s in Hoenn. They think that she has abandoned them, but she showed that she still fought for them here even when she is far away from the nation she would care about. Elise had been this far in allying with the League for that reason other than the proposed alliance her country had with its government.[break][break]

When the Mismagius strikes her Phantom Force onto the Armarouge, her phantasmal strikes would go harder. She’d expect the male fire type to attack her too, judging by how he was charging up a psychic energy. As the Ceruledge sends her Will-O-Wisps towards Kage, he throws in a Toxic puddle to try to poison the ghost and fire type. [break][break]

Flame Charge from the female Ceruledge hits the Gengar and he loses the grin on his face. A look of anger comes from the ghost and he launches a Dark Pulse in return. Pulsating black energy comes from the dark thoughts that the Gengar feels towards his ghostly opponent.

The golden yellow Boltund growls from the Trailblaze that the Rustboro ranger’s Lycanroc gives it. It sets its sights onto the Lycanroc now and with eyes glowing from anger, its fangs try to attack the other canine with Ice Fang. The glowing Boltund was definitely a lot more dangerous when it was protecting its home. [break][break]

“Deku, interrupt the Boltund with Horn Leech now!” The ambassador would have to work in protecting her co-worker’s Lycanroc from harm as the horn-like branches from her Trevenant stop the Boltund from biting down the rock type canine. A low growl comes from the glowing Boltund and it feels the piercing pain from the Trevenant’s Horn Leech.[break][break]

If it was much more powerful, she’ll have to resort to using her partner Pokemon’s strength. Her Mismagius was definitely the one she’ll use to help take down powerful Pokemon like this.

“He can’t change form with my Spectrier at the moment.” Elise knows that the shard would rely on being her medic Pokemon now. His greatest strength was that he can change into two forms based on his two former steeds. A powerful form that restored his true power. The League’s Calyrex may have the power to change form, the king is powerful when he’s in full power.[break][break]

The Calyrex shard looks up to the last Pokemon that Ghost sends out: a Charizard. Hurricane would finally be the one powerful attack of the damned dragon that knocks out her Calyrex. [break][break]

“Okay, you did good, Charles.” She gives a very peaceful smile and returns her Calyrex shard inside his Dive Ball. “Well, it looks like you’ll have to meet my partner Pokemon now.” The ambassador speaks to the ranger and takes out her partner’s Moon Ball.[break][break]

And when the button is pressed, her Mismagius appears in front of her. “I need you to use Thunderbolt.” Elise’s order came towards her ghost Pokemon and electricity courses through the body of the witch-like ghost before the Thunderbolt launches straight at the Charizard!

The royal ambassador decides in taking her Magearna for training. Though Saffira, her Dragonite, hasn’t battled in a while and Elise had told the dragon that Saffira will get her turn in some time. Amor hasn’t called her in a long time either, but he probably had gone back to Kalos by the time that she tried to.[break][break]

Well, it wasn’t her concern now over what Amor was doing. All Elise knows is that he was doing good himself now, away from Hoenn’s happenings.[break][break]

Route 110 was a good spot, she’d walk across the terrain filled with small rocks and some boulders. Her Magearna stays behind her as Audrey scopes out her surroundings. She's eager to explore the route and take in everything that it had, even the wild Pokemon that she could befriend too.

“It’s some Poketreats that the director of Project SAPPHIRE told me where to get them in the Pokemart.” The Galarian royal replies while the hare king watched the female Meganium to see what Jodie was doing. “He likes them a lot, but I usually get the ones that have a more vegetable flavor because I suspect he’s a vegetarian.”[break][break]

Poison Powder fills the area that Charles battled the Meganium though poison would be in the powder. He doesn’t appear to be affected though and Elise knows it’s a Grass type move. She has some flashbacks of seeing her Calyrex being poisoned by the toxic chain at the penitentiary in the months back.[break][break]

“Did you know that the powder moves are ineffective against Grass type Pokemon themselves?” The female royal wasn’t sure if Ghost knew that or not, all she could see was another opening. “Psychic again, Charles.”[break][break]

Energy comes from the king with his glowing crown that turns into a Psychic blast. This blast would attack the Meganium if Jodie didn’t have anything to go against it.

She gets a more scathing reply from the masked Rocket and this lady was confident enough that she’d win. “I will see how much you’ve trained then. I think you are the type to think that just because I am royalty, my skill in Pokemon battling would be second rate.” Her venom would just be as poisonous, especially to a Rocket that had injured her before. [break][break]

This Rocket would not have her mercy. Elise will protect Rustboro City with her Pokemon.[break][break]

“Phantom Force and watch out for her Armarouge’s Psyshock.” Elise gives her command to her trusty Mismagius as the witch-like ghost disappears in avoiding the Psyshock from the Armarouge. “Kage, attack her Ceruledge with Shadow Ball.” A dark laugh comes from the male Gengar and he follows his mistress’ order to her exact specifics.[break][break]

Creating a Shadow Ball in his hands, the Gengar throws the sphere of ghostly energy when the Ceruledge’s Shadow Claw would hit him. He skids across the ground a little and grimaces from the blade's pain.[break][break]

Fear sets in for the Galarian Ambassador when a masked Rocket showed up on a spectral bird with blood red flames. He calls out to her in thinking that the battlefield is no place for royalty and that she can leave her shard behind. Rocket apparently wanted the other one of the same pair of Calyrexes. [break][break]

To her, the shard helped her with proving that Galar is allied with the League. She fights for the League’s government in a way that she helps them with being a medic for hospitals in the cities and towns, sans Petalburg now. All civilians from Petalburg were displaced…because of Rocket’s victory.[break][break]

“Even my cousin fights on the battlefield.” The ambassador speaks to the masked Rocket above on his bird. “It would only be fair that I would be too in order to protect the city that lies beyond this route.”[break][break]

Charles too looks up to the bird and gives a low menacing growl towards the spectral avian.[break][break]

When the Guardian hears of the former Inquisitor’s new position as a Guardian to work alongside it, she has made a vow to protect those in the Forest and the village that was in it. She sheds her title as Inquisitor, a position that wouldn’t fit her anymore, now that she refused to kill the Guardian. In reality, the Guardian was a kind being, albeit it was only trying to protect the Forest and the village from other intruders that would know of its existence.[break][break]

“I would be happy to enjoy the festivities and cake with the rest of the fellow villagers.” She’d reply to the Guardian before the robotic creature takes her to the center of the village and have her enjoy the celebration. The newly appointed Guardian didn’t need to kill the Guardian who showed mercy to her too, a trait that she had done to prevent casualties.[break][break]

And so, the dream ends. A dream that ended suddenly that the ambassador can’t comprehend whether any of it that she experienced was real or not. [break][break]

Waking up from her sleep, Elise finds her Calyrex shard had been seated next to her as if he didn’t react to much of what happened to her. The younger gym leader spoke words that became clearer the more that her grogginess disappears from having a good dream.[break][break]

“I enjoyed my search for the Monster in the Woods.” She answers the gym leader’s question when he asks and the gym leader goes on to talk about her choice being the one to drastically change how the story ended. “Well, thank you. I’m happy to make a choice that had non-violence.”[break][break]

And when he asks if she had any questions on the story he presented or if there was anything she could’ve done differently, the ambassador begins to ask her question. “I would like to ask if this was a test, as you’d said earlier before the dream happened, whether I would abuse my power.” If she had acted more like her aunt, the villagers would definitely be scared of her. “I would never become my aunt in any way.”
