Camellia wasn't able to see him, but she felt his presence above her as he leaned down and kissed her. She was comfortable pulling her hands away from her face, allowing him to see her in full view as she caught her breath.[break][break]

And, for a moment, she wondered what she did for ARCEUS to give her @topher. Maybe it wasn't even ARCEUS'S doing at all. After all, she worshipped nothing.[break][break]

Maybe she was just really lucky.[break][break]

"Lentement (slowly)," she responded, nodding nevertheless. Truthfully, she could only handle so many emotions at once after so many years of feeling nothing.[break][break]

So, she shifted in the bed and got comfortable as Topher's legs twisted with hers, settling close to him. Camellia's tears had ceased, and she was comfortable and content with their position. His kiss went for her head...[break][break]

But she tilted her chin up to try and meet his lips.[break][break]

"I am, with you." Her hand gently traced his jawline, down to his chin, before dropping down the column of his neck. "I've just never shared so much about me to anyone before. Give me some time, and I'll tell you more."[break][break]

Right now, she was tired.

Camellia had no intention making Topher feel that way. It seemed the two were fighting their battles of guilt and hurt toward one another. Perhaps they were truly the match made in heaven.[break][break]

But, as Topher broke from her grasp to turn and pull her into an embrace, something snapped inside of Camellia. There was a tight rope of emotions that she had held onto for many years that snapped, cut into two, by one simple gesture from one person.[break][break]

That person told her she was enough. He said that he didn't need what society told them they should have. All he wanted was her. Camellia. Not her skills, not her body.[break][break]

Her.[break][break]

And so her floodgates broke, like a broken dam, as a cracking sob broke out of her chest. These emotions were foreign and new, and it scared her as she cried into his embrace. Camellia allowed him to pick her up and take her back to bed, though she refused to let go of him once they made it back.[break][break]

"I'm sorry," she whimpered, her grip less restrictive as she relaxed back. "I've never felt this before."[break][break]

There was a pause, as she wiped away some of her tears and settled her head against the pillow. "You... make me happy. And wanted. And, I..." "I love you."[break][break]

"I want you too."

Camellia did what she did best — destroy. She could feel the bed shift as he moved, pulling on his boxers and moving to leave. Despite her previous attempt to pull away, to separate herself from him... guilt gnawed at her stomach.[break][break]

"Topher. Wait."[break][break]

She was quick to put on some undergarments, rushing to grab his hand. Holding onto it firmly, she attempted to stop him in his tracks with a pull. And if she did...[break][break]

With a heavy sigh, her arms wrapped behind him, her head resting against his back and between his shoulder blades. There were a few prickling tears in her eyes.[break][break]

What was wrong with her? Why did she push him away?[break][break]

"Don't. I don't want you to stay on the couch. Stay with me," Camellia whispered, her breath a bit shaky when she breathed in his familiar scent.[break][break]

She was silent, hoping he didn't do the same thing she'd done to him. Try to go away. "I mean when I can't give you a future... I physically can't. They took that away from me a long time ago, in MOULIN SANG."[break][break]

It was the first time she'd confessed to anyone her sterility. Camellia never found it important. But, Topher...[break][break]

"Come back to bed with me."

Camellia felt him tighten his grip, an attempt to soothe her as his hand brushed over her shoulder. But truly, what wounds did she have to soothe? She felt nothing. Her parents were a mystery to her. She felt no connection to them, no love, no care. If she saw their faces, she could guarantee she would be able to walk away without saying a single word.[break][break]

Did that make her a monster?[break][break]

Of course, she already knew she was one. That was her purpose, built piece by piece by MOULIN SANG. Kill and destroy.[break][break]

Topher offered her to share more should she desire. Camellia truly didn’t know what else to share. She wasn’t sure if now was the right time to reveal her involvement in the destruction of MOULIN SANG. Rather, for the moment, she enjoyed being in his arms.[break][break]

Until a thought occurred to her. He’d already expressed a feeling of love to her before. Is that what she felt toward him as well? Love? She didn’t know the feeling, and it scared her. With an almost aggressive motion, she ripped herself away from him, sitting up in the bed. She held the blankets to her chest, as if she was hiding her body from him.[break][break]

”Topher… what are you looking for? What do you want from me?” Camellia asked, refusing to look at him. ”Because if it’s some flowery, beautiful future, I can’t give it to you.”

Camellia approached the designated meeting spot, her shadow cast in front of her as a haunting warning by her LAMPENT. Her footsteps echoed on the cobblestone, thanks to the heels on her boots. The man in front of her was a stranger.[break][break]

She didn't like it when strangers appeared ready to strike at any moment.[break][break]

Her hand rested at her side, where a throwing dagger rested. Ready to be unsheathed and thrown without a notice. However, it seemed the tension began to ease as the man relaxed to greet her.[break][break]

Camellia glanced at him, her eyes scanning his figure, his face, his hair. It was as if she was looking at herself, if she were a man. It was creepy.[break][break]

Finally breaking away her hand from the dagger, she reached out to shake his hand. "Then Camellia is fine, if we're going on first name basis."[break][break]

The fire-type Pokemon settled beside her, floating in a haunting manner. She snorted, raising a brow and crossing her arms. "No needs for a full run down. I know what were doing. Let's get to work."[break][break]

Whether or not she'd get the pelts, she'd decide later when the deed was done.

Even in the air conditioning, Camellia could feel a bit of sweat working on her brow. Walking around and working took a bit of energy.[break][break]

Drink after drink was served. There was a pause in the service, allowing her to take a seat briefly.[break][break]

"I don't suppose you'd whip something up for me to drink?" Camellia asked, smiling as she propped her chin up on her hand.

Camellia scoffed. Wasn't it a bit harsh, calling her a witch? She had a word or two to say to Crispin when they finished the job. But, for now, she left the area, going to meet back with Maxime.[break][break]

The PHANTUM remained where she'd ordered, in a secluded spot deep in the woods. It would only take minutes for Crispin and their target to reach her and her Pokemon.[break][break]

"Go ahead. We can start luring him in."[break][break]

A wailing cry came from the floating tree, screeching into the woods. If Camellia hadn't known, she would have thought there was a lost child, the same as Baker did.[break][break]

And should it go according to plan, he should be making his appearance now.

Bad was in their nature. Camellia and Topher weren't known to be the good guys. That's why they were apart of a crime syndicate. Why not be bad in the bedroom too?[break][break]

Bad they were. And she loved every second of it. It turned out each time she had these flings — affairs? Meetings? Relations? — with Topher, she determined he was the most fun partner she'd had in a long time.[break][break]

And the idea of sharing him irked her. She now understood the feeling he felt when they fought about her partner she'd been with. Was that the feeling of jealousy?[break][break]

With fresh sheets and clean bodies, Camellia curled up against Topher as the movie continued on. She wasn't really paying much attention to it, instead listening to his heart beat as she rested her head against his chest. She recalled the time he woke up on her bed, the first time he'd come over here. Crying and shaking, panicking.[break][break]

Shouldn't she tell him something about her past too?[break][break]

"I don't remember my parents. Or anything before I was six. The first memory I have is waking up in the boarding house they kept us in, being told I had classes and then training later on that day. I think they were going to teach me about knives, since they were simpler than other weapons."

While he showered, Camellia took the opportunity to change out of her clothes into something she'd be more comfortable in. Similarly to her male counterpart, she slept in a very little amount of clothing at night, so she opted for a simple lingerie set she had, tucking herself under the covers and leaning against the headboard.[break][break]

She checked her phone, the TV ready to go, as he stepped out of the shower. Her eyes made note of his silk underwear, when was a very nice touch. Especially when she could see his—[break][break]

The cold air nipped at Camellia's skin as Topher joined her, though she hummed when his arms came around her. She wanted to kiss him, wrestle him into the bed. Especially when he brushed his fingers across her thigh and held firmly. She couldn't help but growl.[break][break]

"You're a real piece of shit," Camellia muttered, though she said it with affection, pressing a wet kiss to his lips before settling against him.[break][break]

The movie began playing, and violence was ever present from the moment it started. She laughed. "If you look in my bedside drawer, I'm covered. So it couldn't be us."[break][break]

Her drawer held her hunting dagger and a pistol, as well as a stash of other goodies in the drawer besides weapons.

Camellia expected that his "it's okay" comment to be reflective on self-negativity. So, she opened her mouth to stop him in his tracks. However, he proved her wrong and caught her off guard.[break][break]

It would seem that he was one of the only people that was capable of doing that.[break][break]

"Later. Once we've showered up and gotten settled," she said, though the knowing smirk was placed on her lips.[break][break]

While he took the plates and washed them, she took her chance to disappear into the bathroom and wash up quickly. She was a rather impatient woman, after all. Whether he did or not, she didn't care.[break][break]

That was clearly evident how she looked at the strip of stomach exposed on by his shirt, her teeth biting into her lower lip until she looked back up at him.[break][break]

"That's fine. Do you wanna stay on the couch or go to my bed?"

Camellia stayed out of the way, instead standing to the side and observing him as he cooked. She pulled a chair to the side, crossing her legs as she analyzed what he was doing and trying to process it in her head.[break][break]

Right now, her stomach growled. He set up the small table in the middle of her kitchen area, serving the plates of pasta for both himself and her. She came to sit beside him taking a bite.[break][break]

Camellia would never admit to anyone that she was anxiously awaiting for Topher's arrival. She kept looking at the time, and it hardly budged from where it had been. Didn't he say that he was almost there?[break][break]

Her anxious sighing was interrupted by a knock at the door. Approaching quickly, though she tried not to open the door too eagerly, she welcomed him in with a smile. If he noticed, it reached her eyes, unlike many of her previous ones.[break][break]

"Hey. Make yourself comfortable." She closed and locked up behind him, a habit of hers ever since she was a young girl.[break][break]

Camellia busied herself with moving a couple of items around until he came back from her room, meeting him as his arms wrapped around her. She hummed, leaning against his body. He was so warm.[break][break]

"I'm going to be honest, mon cher, I don't know how to cook besides very simple things. I usually order takeout or eat things prepackaged or canned." While she had an extensive repertoire from MOULIN SANG, cooking was not on that skill set.

Camellia was going to offer her plushie to him, since Topher had given her the LITWICK one earlier. However, he had seemed determined to win one of his own. So she held it in her arms, giving him a small clap and smile when he won.[break][break]

He was really a dork when he wasn't working.[break][break]

"Right. I suppose that means we'll have to take turns keeping them," Camellia said, raising her brows at him.[break][break]

It was beginning to get later in the day, and the sun was beginning to set. Her drive for the carnival fun was extinguished with the emotional rollercoaster they'd been on.[break][break]

"Let's run by the souvenir booth before we head out. But I'm good to leave."

ARCEUS, this was becoming a lot more complicated than it was originally supposed to be. Camellia found herself reaching to hold onto that hand he gave to her, not wanting to let go of it. The thought of having Topher as her one and only was entrancing. It was a dream she was holding onto.[break][break]

But that also meant that her freedom was going to be torn away from her. No matter how much she cared about him, was she willing to part ways with her old methods?[break][break]

That, she couldn't give an answer to him yet.[break][break]

Instead of dwelling on it further, Camellia nodded. "Let's go. I'm not going to leave without winning something."[break][break]

And win she did. Without the blurting of his confession, Camellia was able to land all the rings in the appropriate spots, giving her access to the plushies on the wall. She grabbed the LINOONE, stroking the soft fuzz on it.[break][break]

"It reminded me of yours."
