Camellia felt the rise of goosebumps along her skin as his hand touched hers. Why did he feel the need to hold her hand? Wasn’t that something outside their realm of relationship? The brush of his thumb across her knuckles shot a rush of adrenaline through her veins. She’d never felt this feeling before.[break][break]

What the fucking hell was @topher doing to her?[break][break]

She was tempted to pull her hand away, to remove herself from the foreign feeling and touch. Especially as his head came to rest against her shoulder. However, a more tame part of chimed in, echoing in her head to let it be and enjoy it for now. It wasn’t going to last forever.[break][break]

”You sound confident. Are you sure that everyone in the syndicate feels that way?” Camellia spoke with a hidden concern, masked in a light and entertained voice. ”This isn’t my first organization, Trois. I know what happens when the dominoes begin to fall.”[break][break]

Though she snickered at his remark. ”You’re already addicted, hmm? Well, maybe you can bite again tonight, if you play your cards right.” She was merely teasing him because in truth, there was little Topher would have to do to stop her from climbing all over him again that evening. It was practically set in stone.[break][break]

Camellia grunted her agreement, sighing as she caved and rested her head against his. She sat in silence, while the colors continued to explode in the sky above them.[break][break]

She couldn't help the smirk and laugh, shrugging as she turned her head to look at him. Camellia's bangs fell over her brows, obscuring her gaze for a moment before she pushed them out of the way. "That's one way to put it."[break][break]

Though, as he opened up to her, she wondered if she had been too brazen to share even an inkling of her history with him. She listened on silently as he spoke, ignoring the shaky breath or his absentminded picking of his nails.[break][break]

Something must be bothering him. Something that he wasn't telling her.[break][break]

"I don't know my family. I have a fuzzy image, I guess. But I don't know anything about myself before I was six," Camellia admitted, leaning back on her hands. "I was told that I was abandoned. Now that I'm older, I'm not sure if that's the case. Regardless, I was trained in martial arts, interrogation, lying... and killing."[break][break]

Her gaze met his. "Of course I do..." she replied, her gaze falling for a moment.[break][break]

"You, this thing, whatever it is — it's not one of them."

"Poor sap. Remind me to never get on your bad side," she murmured, looking at the cigarette between her fingers. She thought for a moment, noticing him deny her offer, and decided to put hers out as well. She didn't need it. And, perhaps the smell was a turn off for him.[break][break]

Not that there was any guarantee of another rendezvous in the sheets with Number Three tonight.[break][break]

Camellia waited patiently for him to elaborate, though she couldn't stop the anxious pit growing in her stomach. It gnawed at her guts, threatening to make her ill if he said the wrong thing. But what was the wrong thing? Truth be told, she wasn't even sure.[break][break]

It was a lot all at one time, and she had little time to process it. Topher wanted more. What did she want? The sex was fantastic, but as she had mentioned that night: "work and play shouldn't mix."[break][break]

"Do you remember what we talked about that evening? When we said we should not tell Minuit, that work and our personal lives shouldn't mix together?" Camellia finally said, her gaze locked on the fireworks.[break][break]

"I still think that's true. Our trust as partners in missions could be destroyed in a fraction of a second because of something stupid. Everything would be much, much easier if we stayed like this. Onze and Trois. Not Topher and Camellia."[break][break]

She sat in a heavy silence before speaking again, this time looking over at him.[break][break]

"But fuck the rules. I never felt like they were that important anyway." A smirk broke the neutral expression on her lips. "Good luck getting to know me, though. You'll have to be patient, mon cher. Even I have things I want to hide from ARECUS."

Camellia and the other bartenders at the Burning Maw were offered extra pay if they came in and worked the extra day that dorian westcliff had opened to the public. It wasn't that she was struggling for money, but she was a selfish bitch.[break][break]

And things weren't cheap.[break][break]

It was honest work. Even assassins and weapons dealers had to keep their hands clean every once in a while. In her usual suit pants and button down top, Camellia was busy shaking up a beverage for a regular who decided to come visit them in their daytime hours.[break][break]

"It's strange seeing you out in the day time. But we appreciate you coming in today," she said with a smile, pouring the cocktail into a glass before sliding it over. A child was rushing over for a refill of juice.[break][break]

As she grabbed the juice, she noticed Dorian. "What's making you stay all dressed up today, Boss? Isn't it a bit too warm for a whole get up?" she jested.

They split ways. Camellia was on the hunt for their target, not making a giant effort to conceal herself. Rather, entered the crowd, her PHANTUMP having disappeared to their decided meeting place for the end.[break][break]

Scanning the area whilst walking, she spotted the man that matched the image she and crispin tredarloe were given. "Target spotted. Closing in. Prepare for the chase," she murmured to her earpiece, stepping forward.[break][break]

Camellia's foot steps increased, following the man several feet behind him like a shadow until he was a decent way away from the crowd. When he went down a deserted alleyway, she made her move.[break][break]

"Friedrich Becker. You can't escape this time," she cooed, smiling wickedly as he whirled around.[break][break]

"How do you know that name—" Though he hardly had time to speak as Camellia darted forward with a dagger brandished, appearing to have the intention to kill while missing his throat at the same time. Instead, as he scurried from her, she made contact with his arm.[break][break]

"Mouse is on the move. Heading in your direction." She gave chase, chasing the man towards the woods while staying far enough away to lull him into a false sense of security in thinking she was gone.

"Trois. I should've expected you," she said simply, turning this time to look at her masculine counterpart.[break][break]

Camellia craned her neck up from her seated position, offering a playful smile at her fellow REVOC partner. She patted a spot on the rock, offering him a place to sit rather than stay standing as her attention turned back to the fireworks.[break][break]

"Unfortunately. Minuit should be pleased the deal went well, or else I would've had a few words to say otherwise. I could've used your disposal skills on my last task, though," she said, reaching into her pocket and using the heat from her LAMPENT to light a cigarette. She offered one to @topher before storing them away.[break][break]

"What about you? What bullshit do they have you doing tonight, instead of celebrating summer?"[break][break]

Her Pokemon floated beside her and regarded Topher with a neutral expression, only giving a solitary "woo" as if he was speaking to the man. Pressing the end of the cigarette to her lips, Camellia inhaled and only released the smoke as she laughed. Not at Topher.[break][break]

Who was the asshole that decided that work should still happen while a festival was going on? How boring.[break][break]

Luckily enough for Camellia, her weapons trade deal went smoothly enough with a little bit of persuasion from her Pokemon and her intimidating demeanor. The client got the weapons they wanted, and she got the cash she demanded. It was a win-win in her books.[break][break]

And her assassination job went over well enough. She'd just finished cleaning up, walking away from the scene she'd tidied to ensure her escape, when fireworks began to explode overhead. She stopped, her LAMPENT hovering at her side as she peered overhead.[break][break]

"We're in luck today. Allons-y, Marcel. Let's find a place to watch the fireworks."[break][break]

Camellia found herself at a rocky overhang on the outskirts of Dewford Town, sitting with her feet dangling over the edge as the fireworks popped in the sky. She kicked her feet in the air, smirking as she realized she wasn't alone.[break][break]

"Enjoying the view?" Was she talking about herself or the nature scenery?

Camellia couldn't help the breathy chuckle that left her lips at his reaction. It only heightened her need, her desire for him to play this game with her.[break][break]

A near animalistic sound ripped from her throat when she felt the burning touch of his hands against her thighs, pulling her up like she weighed nothing. She complied, wrapping her legs tightly around his hips. Her pointed nails drew marks across his back and shoulders over his shirt along the way.[break][break]

Her neck was exposed and ready to take the beating, all while her teeth grazed over the shell of his ear. Camellia's voice was airy and heedy, letting her partner hear her pleasure as they made their way blindly into his room.[break][break]

With the click of the door shutting, she was deft in shucking away her clothes into a pile onto the floor, falling back gracefully onto the mattress as her hair fanned out behind her like a wild halo. Ash and soot.[break][break]

"Faîtes-moi (make me)," she'd challenge him with her last smirk, falling away into his arms for the remainder of that evening. Unknowing that Trois and Onze initiated something big.

Camellia couldn't help the smirk that twisted on her lips, her shoulders rising and falling in a shrug. She couldn't blame him. Everyone had secrets they'd rather not share.[break][break]

"Touché, mon ami."[break][break]

Even under the shell he'd built as a playboy, she had an inkling of an idea that he had much more to him than he put out to the public. His brain worked a certain way, and she wanted to dissect it. If she could, she'd take it apart piece by piece to see what made Trois @topher.[break][break]

And vice versa.[break][break]

Though before she could speak, a hand on her chin rose her gaze back to his height, whilst his hand gripped her side tightly. Camellia was unable to hold back a sharp breath or the way her pupils blew as he held her close to him. Thank ARCEUS she'd managed to keep her balance.[break][break]

Without it, she felt like she could fall right then and there.[break][break]

"Are you sure you can handle me and my horrors? I don't play nice. I never have," Camellia answered unwaveringly, her own hand coming up to his hair before pulling close to his scalp so his neck would be exposed to her.[break][break]

She'd lean in, pushing away the hand that rested on her chin to press her lips against his carotid before biting his skin teasingly. "Get me out of here. These fumes are a nuisance," she whispered against the spot she'd claimed.

She nodded, tapping the belt on her hip that held a variety of weapons and her Poke balls. Her hand held out her phone, looking over their target once again.[break][break]

"Sounds easy enough. Lull him into a false sense of trust and then pull the trigger."[break][break]

The PHANTUMP made a whirring noise, wigging alongside Camellia. "It seems our target has a child. We can use that to our advantage, Maxime. Lure him in so we can give chase."[break][break]

And bring more horror to their end.[break][break]

"Shall we split up here, Neuf? I'll chase him to you, and once he joins you, I'll allow Maxime to cry out as his child so you both can be drawn to our end point."

In that moment, Camellia decided that playing a little back and forth game with @topher was definitely the sort of fun she would enjoy. Briefly, she could feel blood rushing down, though she could also hear it pounding loudly in her ears as his statement was noticeably more breathy and his pants...[break][break]

Well. He explained that one clearly enough.[break][break]

"Perhaps we should draw it here, Trois. I don't think our guest would appreciate us desecrating his grave," she teased, though her voice revealed a hint of a quivering need.[break][break]

Camellia's body screamed in disappointment as he pulled away, allowing her to move from her spot on the wall. She straightened her top and followed him as they continued their walk. "As far as assassination goes, yes. And I'm familiar with all sorts of weapons. I wouldn't say I had experience in trade, but it hasn't caused an issue so far."[break][break]

Forensic pathology. "Where did you gain that experience? Forensic pathology sounds far from the realm of our world to me, though I've had no hand in it before."[break][break]

A smile curled on her lips. "Ghost types enhance a killer's work, in my opinion. RUNERIGUS strikes fear in my victims. If you touch her, you'll see the horrors in creating her. She's intimidating to look at in general. In a way... I feel like I relate to her."

Camellia had caught wind of Trois's infamous flirtatious nature. There were rumors about him, sleeping around, never settling down with one person.[break][break]

She could see clearly that these rumors were all true. It made her laugh as he immediately hopped back onto the subject to garner her attention.[break][break]

"It depends how good you are. Do the rumors speak true?"[break][break]

It wasn't that she was a prude. Camellia was often picky about her choices in sexual partners. If she determined within the first several minutes that she wasn't going to be pleased, she would cast her partner aside and kick them out.[break][break]

Topher was an attractive man. If he was good in the sheets... she wouldn't be opposed.[break][break]

"I joined after being on my own for a while. I supposed I missed a bit of community, since my old group disbanded." Camellia stretched the truth a bit, deciding not to oust herself for destroying "Moulin Sang" all those years ago. "He found my resume impressive, and I decided it was worth my while. Unless he decided to use me against my wishes, I'm pleased with where I am."[break][break]

For now, at least.[break][break]

There was a pause, and Camellia found Topher pushing her back against the wall, trapping her back. She regarded him completely unphased, a smirk quirking upon her lips.[break][break]

"I don't tie myself down, sweetheart," she answered, one of her pointed fingers reaching up and tracing down his jawline before resting at his chin, where she grabbed ahold to hold his gaze on her.

Their dying victim was simply a mere afterthought as @topher got on his hands and knees in front of her, his expression reminiscent of a LYCANROC puppy with pleading eyes. It pulled a sly grin to her lips as she stuck her boot forward, as though she was going to make him kiss it.[break][break]

"Perhaps that's for you to find out when I'm not on the job. Ask me again when I'm not listening to someone choke on blood, and I might humor you," Camellia teased, pulling her foot back to her body.[break][break]

Turning her back to the man and Topher, she approached a sink that sat nearby, turning it on and washing away the stains on the metal blade. She'd clean it properly later, but in the very least, she cleansed it with some antiseptic and soaked the rag to remove its stains.[break][break]

With the body in the bath and the fumes filling the room, Camellia was more than happy to take a walk. After washing her hands clean and drying them, she nodded.[break][break]

"There's not much to know about 'Onze.' She handles weaponry and assassinates. She follows the job description, unless otherwise noted. However, if there's something you'd like to know about me, you may ask," she said simply, leaving her RUNERIGUS to watch the area as she walked out the room.
