Runaway Raichu! (Social Thread)

It was a change of pace traveling this route. It was different, and uneasy to ride HER. But she was enjoying it as they traveled the watery route that led to Josh's Gym. It was the first time that Zachary had her out and was long overdue to let his precious Milotic, he lovingly called Cetus, out for a swim. At Josh's recommendation, oh so repeatedly, he wanted Zachary to try and ride his pokemon. While Cetus didn't look like an ideal mount due to her slim back, she was insistent to let him ride her. [break][break] The watery route was indeed just that, just narrow passages , wide open ocean and canyons with different running waterways. There were no roads, and no bridges. But on Ceteus back, there was no where they couldn't go! Zachary clung tight to the Milotic's neck, a bit nervous afraid to slip off her. Dizzy too clung tight, riding her too, as the fiery fox didn't want to fall into the water. [break][break] However, the more he rode on Milotic, he felt how happy she was as she easily swam. She would of been more excited to explore the wide open oceans and underwater-- but she was kind enough to keep above water to keep her riders safe. [break][break] "I hate to admit it, Josh-- but I think I can get used to this. Though maybe I should get a proper saddle for Cetus if I do this again..." Zachary said as they rode down the wide open watery route, leading north. [break][break] Dizzy gave a soft whimper, not enjoying it much as he clung tight to Zachary, not wanting to get wet. He had the chance to go into his Pokeball, but declined, wanting to be out and around.

Out-Foxed (Safari Zone)

The steps into the canyon-like area was rough and rugged, jagged stones all over the place that made any kind of road or travel hard to do. Zachary pressed on with his sneakers, but Dizzy was more ginger with his steps as they navigated the rough terrain. As they walked, soon something jumped out,a seeming odd rock with a small glyph on it. [break][break] Both Zachary and Dizzy looked at the rock, puzzled. "Did that rock just move on its own?" Zachary asked Dizzy. [break][break] It was then the stone jumped and out appeared the ghostly body of a rather grumpy Yamask! But it wasn't the one that Zachary was more familiar with. An alternate region's form of it, with new traits. Zachary was startled but also excited. He took out one of the Safari Balls. "Dizzy! Let's give it a shot!" Zachary encouraged. [break][break] The Fox gave an excited cheer. [break][break] Despite being at a disadvantage, Dizzy was still willing to take on the ghostly foe. He was stronger, and faster. Dizzy was quick to attack first, and soon spat out a Flamethrower attack, washing over the stone of the ghost pokemon. [break][break] The Yamask soon retaliated, preparing a shadow ball and threw it at Dizzy. [break][break] "Dizzy-- dodge with Psychic!" Zachary shouted. [break][break] In that moment, Dizzy's eyes and body glowed. With a swift shot up, Dizzy took flight with psychic power. With an impressive leap, the shadowball passed below him. The fox flipped in the air, and soon used Psychic, taking some rocks and threw them at the Yamask! [break][break] The resulting impact pummeled the ghost, confusing it. [break][break] With the golden opportunity, Zachary threw the Safari ball at Yamask, attempting to catch it with its weakened state. [break][break] The ball hit it in the stone body, to which, the whole form of the little thing vanished into light and disappeared into the ball. The battle wabbled as it closed, the thing still putting up a fight. However, after a few seconds, the ball stopped wobbling, and the light on it dimmed away. [break][break] Dizzy landed back to the ground, its psychic aura vanishing as Zachary picked up the ball. He looked satisfied, finding a rare and powerful Ghost Type, something he didn't have many of. [break][break] "Nice work, Diz!" Zachary said, appreciative. The fox gave a gleeful smile, branishing his stick proudly. [break][break] However, they didn't know they were being spied on from nearby in the stray trees nearby. [break][break]

Happy with his new tool and power to awaken within his Pokemon, Zachary looked to Prof. yew with gratitude. He and Josh were now ready to go."Thank you, Prof. Yew. We will be in touch," Zachary said as he waved goodbye and presumed to leave the laboratories. Prof Yew waved back with a smile, sending them off. [break][break] As Zachary, Josh and their Pokemon were now out of sight, her smile faded a bit. Alone now, she soon reached into her pocket. Her lab had recorded the interactions here, but more so, she took out her Rontom Phone. She hit a button and brought it up to her ear. [break][break] "It's me.... Yes, I have made contact with the trainers from Area Zero," she spoke to the phone. She listened to the other side intently, and yet was cool as ice. [break][break] "Yes, sir. We know have a fix on their movement. The target is Zachary Stellar, a trainer originally from Jhoto... and he is connected with one of the gym leaders. He can be a hastle before long, now that he has taken interest in the power of Terastellization. " she explained, but soon listened more. As she talked, she soon opened up one of her files on the table-- soon showing an ensignia of "R" on it. [break][break] A wicked grin showed on her face. "Understood, master Amor Rose . We shall discuss how we shall proceed with him in our next meeting. Thank you, sir. I shall keep you informed of any developments." she spoke. [break][break]The lovely Professor had revealed her true colors in that moment, suggesting her interests were far more nefavious than one would suspect. With the phone call ended, her phone soon revealed to have an R-shape app on it. An ensignia of Team Rocket! The professor in disguise smirked, proud of her sharade and now approached the window, seeing the two trainers ignorantly set off on their adventure-- unaware Rocket now had eyes on them, waiting to strike. Another trek into the Safari Zone excited Zachary, eager to find new and exciting Pokemon. With Dizzy beside him, they entered the enclosed reserve, marked by the massive domes around them. They followed the tunnel, the Delphox keeping his excited trainer company. They soon entered the enclosure to find what was before them. [break][break] The surrounding terrain was far different from their last visit. Before it was vast grasslands, forests and wetlands. This time, the terrain was a bit more rugged and warmer. Jagged rocks, canyons and enclosed trees sticking out from there was dominant in this area of the Safari Zone. [break][break] The timer was running for Zachary as they were now there-- with only a limited time to find Pokemon, and catch them. Zachary looked to his Delphox. "Ready to rock, Dizzy?" Zachary said with enthusiasm. [break][break] The fox gave a more controlled, calm nod. They had been through a lot and at times, Dizzy was the one to keep Zachary in check-- and vise versa. Little did they know the fox specifically would be tested this time in the Safari Zone. [break][break]

"The Forest for the Trees" [Wild Duo]

They made their way through the uncharted woods, going deeper and deeper, till they heard it. The soft whistle-- Josh was mistaken as it wasn't Leafeon who had Grass Whistle-- but the Swadloon. It could of been any other Pokemon, but he did recognize that one, who had greeted him. And the music it played when it met Happy. [break][break] "T-That's them! " Zachary called out, causing a raven Pokemon to fly off as he followed the sound. He soon began to call out. "Happy! Rabsca! Cane you hear me! HAPPY!!" [break][break] Stuck under Leafeon's paw, Happy now was semi-napping, as the other Pokemon played with other wild ones, including a Pansage that joined. However, soon the sound of the human's cry caught their attention. [break][break] Happy's eyes snapped open, hearing his trainer's voice. He soon cheered happily, trying to voice his own voice and get out of Leafeon's grasp. However, the Pokemon didn't respond the way intended. [break][break] The Leafeon heard the voice and grew agitated. The Leafeon soon rose up, anticipating intruders. [break][break] Zachary soon broke through the trees, soon finding the grove. It was beautiful, overflowing with color, and a nearby river that ran through the heart of the forest. It was almost magical. However, Zachary's attention soon came to the small gathering of Pokemon in the sunlit area of grove-- including Happy. THe Mime Jr gave a cheerful cry to see them. Rabsca, rather motionless, gave a happy spin of the mysterious globe it had in the air. [break][break] "Happy! Rabsca! I'm so glad you're--" [break][break] "GRRRRRRRR!!" The fight was quickly approaching a climax as the two Pokemon clash, now both with the power to 'teleport' for lack of a better word. The attacks were growing more and more intense, especially via the use of Metronome. There was no way to predict what would happen. Happy's attack missed as Dhelmgist vanished one again into the Phantom Force portal. It was coming again, and this time, no way to really avoid it. Happy let out another squeak as Foul Play missed. [break][break] "Happy! Quick, use Mimic and Phantom Force away again!" he warned. Happy obeyed and jumped into another portal, evading Dhelmgist. [break][break] The fight was growing tenser as it seemed both trainers and Pokemon were keen to avoid any direct hits. And now, the time had come as Happy reappeared above Dhemheist. [break][break] "Happy, use Metronome one more time! " [break][break] Happy gave a cry as he came from above to Dhelmgist. [break][break]....[break][break] "Miiiimeee!" Happy cooed, giving Dhelmgist a strong, tight hug. [break][break] Some in the audience laughed, others just went 'awww', now captivated by the Mime Jr.'s adorable nature. [break][break]Zachary froze, then clapped a hand over his eyes in shame. "Happy...!" Zachary sighed. Dizzy beside him covered his eyes with his paws. [break][break] Happy used "WRAP" to try and squeeze him, but of course Happy went with the randomness to pull off an adorable hug on the ghost. [break][break] If Arron countered at the right time, he could crush Happy right then and there, but Zachary wasn't willing to give up. "Happy! Get away from him quick! It won't hesitate to attack you!" Zachary warned, trying to get through to his Mime jr. [break][break] Still, Happy was a hugger than a fighter, and didn't regret the hug. [break][break]

Zachary didn't really know how to deal with it. His grandparents had passed and remembered how he handed it poorly. He was only eight at the time of their death and his parents sheltered him from the majority of it. But still, he missed his grandmother, having planned to give her a Christmas present but now that hope had died with her. He knew-- he knew his family would eventually die, as would he. But it was hard to think on it. He wanted to avoid such thoughts and enjoy life. [break][break] Elise however, couldn't and had to face it all for her family's sake. [break][break] Zachary soon bit his lip, unsure what to do in the face of such hard times. His fists gripped, hating himself for not able to truly relate as he had yet to loose-- and never wanted to. He felt he rather die than see his mother and father pass. Tears fell from his eyes. "Elise, I wish I could do something to help you. I hate that there is nothing I can really do..." Zachary said, wiping an arm to quickly hide his tears. He composed himself and turned to her and her pokemon. "If I can do anything, anything-- please let me know. " he said, even though he knew he was powerless to do anything in such a situation. [break][break] Dizzy's ears drooped as he soon did what Zachary couldn't But it probably be a gambit...[break][break] Dizzy gave a soft bark and threw his arms around Elise, hugging the princess. Probably a 'gutzy' move, but a hug from a furry, friendly fox probably wasn't the worst thing in the world. Zachary of course, saw this and looked surprised. [break][break]"Dizzy! What you doing?" Zachary jumped, not reading his intention in the face of his loss of composure. The fox was just trying to comfort Elise, though probably her other Pokemon wouldn't like him being so huggy. [break][break]

Zachary did not realize the true folly of his judgement. At that moment, he was yanked up by the mask and chain with others-- his shards he tried to conseal fallen from him. And now, he was to be punished. He didn't understand at first, but soon it was clear... as the screen soon displayed Pokemon, with a generated picture of the species. It was followed by a cruel smash! Zachary froze, fear in his face-- and soon he saw it as he clung on to the chain. The pokeball with the XVIII -- the Moon. THe screen soon showed it, an Epsion. [break][break] Anubis![break][break] "No... NO!!" Zachary cried as he struggled, but soon saw as the ball was crushed. And the image went black. His mind went blank, outrage, regret, fear. They killed him. They killed Anubis-- his friend, because he choose to fight back. And they would do it again... to his other Pokemon. They would do it to Tarot, Prophet... Dizzy, even Happy! [break][break] As he was soon dropped, and then kicked by Dokidogi once more, he stopped. He couldn't afford to no longer act hastily. He had to think things through before he act. If he didn't, the same disaster would happen again. His mind was still on Anubis, the pokemon he met in the ruins. Their time had been brief, but he loved his Umbreon. ANd now... was he really gone? [break][break] He tried to remember how strong Anubis was-- and more over, what he would do. Zachary couldn't afford to give up now, but he didn't show it. For now, he held his pain, knowing his partner was gone(presumably). [break][break] They soon were released and now they had to do a trust exercise? What the heck was that about? He had to be smart and work with the others. He KNEW others were there he knew, and they were all in the same boat. Despite the rattled state he was in loosing Anubis-- he had to answer. [break][break] "Trust... Trust..." Zachary murmurs, tears showing through his mask at the death of his Pokemon. Behind those tears, rage was silently burning in him. He had to make them pay! He had to avenge his friend! But if he stepped out of line before he find his Pokemon-- they would all be killed. [break][break]
