Throwing out his KROOKODILE, the reptilian beast lowered himself to the ground, crawling on all fours before he leapt forward and CRUNCHED. Montgomery took his cue to rise, firing a few blasts over the boxes that PROTECTED them.

In a box, submerged in the water, were ROTOM encrypted and protected hard drives. He hoped that the box was secure enough to keep the items from getting wet, or the ROTOMS would protect the drives from damage...

[attr="class","monty"]"I didn't mean to offend, Sheriff," Montgomery said, waving his hands at him apologetically. It was just, many of these things were so new to him. He had to note to watch how he phrased things.

The signal was sent above head, bringing attention to the collapsed building. He heard the telltale signs of help on the way.

He cackled, wishing he could spit in her face.

”I’d never kill a civilian. But you? I could kill you without hesitation.” This woman? She was no innocent civilian.

Though, perhaps Aoki Hana’s words were having some sort of affect on him. Navy's single plea had left his mind as peer lust for blood and anger clouded his judgement. He was blinded with emotions he had buried down.

Behind his eyes, he saw red.

He felt like he was back in Unova again, filled with power and rage. And there was only one way for him to channel it.

Montgomery sent a silent prayer that the STUN SPORES hit and would give him ample time to wield his weapon once more. He aimed his gun, firing another ANCHOR SHOT towards the Rocket individual. At the same time, her swords swung for him.

She struck down upon his BRELOOM, a guaranteed hit, but her second sword pierced his thigh. He cursed, blood seeping through his pant leg as he staggered forward. His Pokemon fell to the blow, leaving him defenseless unless the bullet he shot managed to entrap Aoki Hana.

"I wonder if there's even a damn thought in that head..." he muttered before dropping a Poke ball.

Once the fires were tamed, he traded the DHELMISE for his SANDSLASH, allowing him to DIG through the ground. He created a tunnel, leading to a hole deep enough to keep the stray Pokemon safe while also preventing them from attacking as they handled the destruction.

[attr="class","monty"]Montgomery left the building, heading to the street. Chaos had already ensued, citizens fleeing from the harbored area nearby. Emerging from the depths was a terastallized GYARADOS, its imposing figure emerging from the waves and blasting HYPER BEAMS across the area.

He reached for his side, to grab a Poke ball... only to notice that his balls were missing. "Dammit!"

He recalled leaving them inside his patrol car, allowing himself to be unarmed as he enjoyed his alcohol. Now, he was regretting stepping foot in there.

The next beam found itself striking the bar Montgomery had just been inside. He rushed over, jumping over debris. "Hey! Hey, get outta there!"

"That's what Navy told me when he first hired me. Then he took me to the Deep Sea. Saw them NIHILGEOS for the first time, and breathin' under water? Hoenn's fucked."

Robin offered to get him involved into Ranger programs, something that he hadn't considered. Montgomery had been so focused on the safeguarding of the citizens that their Pokemon were almost an afterthought. He didn't reveal that to her, though. "I wouldn't be opposed," he said.

A new weapon, a gun very similar to his own, was tossed into his hands. Yet there was an energy to it that he couldn't quite place.

He didn't have the time to even think about using it, as Aoki Hana's blade swung inches toward his throat. The sharp metal would have cut into his throat, severed his carotid artery, had Lydia Magnusson's IRON VALIANT not stepped in at the perfect moment to block the attack.

"Thanks," he offered Lydia Magnusson quickly,

This time, he didn't hesitate to fire another shot near Aoki Hana, using Navy's weapon that was imbued with an ANCHOR SHOT. Chains whipped forward, attempting to ensnare the Rocket and trap her.

However, the shot flew defied the laws of physics, thanks to illeana reyes's SPATIAL INVERSION. It was unbeknownst to him, a look of confusion lighting his eyes as, suddenly, the feeling of weightlessness hit him. "Shit!"

He fired the shot again, this time learning from his previous mistake, and latching himself to the rock. He finally stabilized on the ground, releasing his BRELOOM to the field to for her to spread STUN SPORES in an attempt to paralyze Aoki Hana.

Hopefully, Genevieve Cromwell could get to Navy, because the deputy was rather occupied in distracting one of his assailants. That didn't stop him from throwing a peeved comment to Shred. "Yer fuckin' annoyin'! Quit yappin'!"

Now what would the grad student do? Would he hold up his end of the deal? Or would he take the money and try to kill him?

That would be something he'd love to see.

Rather, Howard chose the boring path, which caused the cowboy to shrug his shoulders in indifference. "I don't give a fuck what ya do with this place now. I got what I needed." He turned towards the way they entered, taking the first few steps before looking behind him.

"Meet me in two days. Evenin' time. You'll get yer money then." Montgomery's Pokemon were recalled into their respective balls, and he peered down the hole one more time, holding up two fingers and a smirk.

[attr="class","monty"]Montgomery was tasked to run security at the Renaissance fair that weekend in Fortree, with a few other of his fellow Dewford policemen ensuring the safety of the civilians enjoying their time. Threats of war equated heightened protocols, after all.

But that didn't mean that he wasn't able to enjoy the festivities himself. His coworker approached his post, announcing that it was his shift.

Time to enjoy a good ale and some food.

The deputy wandered the fairgrounds, sticking out like a sore thumb amongst the individuals dressed up in medieval attire. Though one person stuck out as much as he did. And while she may not know him, Montgomery certainly knew her.

"Councilwoman Livy. Fancy seein' you here. Enjoyin' ancient times?" He approached the fiery-haired woman, swagger in his stride.
