"Maybe I should not stress about it. Focus on other stuff and maybe just go with the flow of things," Giselle stated to herself. "Yeah, that sounds like a plan for now... Besides, stressing is not going to do anything but make it worse," she admitted, glancing down at Fendi. The orange-hued fox let out a cry in agreement before leaping into her trainer's lap. "So, you agree, huh?" She giggled, giving her Pokémon a gentle pat on the head.

Giselle then takes out Poke Puff to feed Fendi. Unfortunately for Fendi, someone dashed out from the tree above them to steal the treat away from her. "Wh-what was that?!" Giselle swiftly stood up with Fendi in her arms. The Fennekin let out an annoyed bark at the fleeing silhouette. "Well, whatever it is... it is gone now... No worries, I will just bake you some more later when we're back at the ranch," she assured Fendi. The fox sighed, then nodded her head.

A few hours after settling in at Tommy's ranch, Giselle and her Fennekin, Fendi, decided to walk along the outskirts of Verdanturf Town to help clear their minds. Upon moving to the Hoenn Region, Giselle had imagined residing in Lilycove City. Unfortunately, her parents seem to have other plans for her. Instead of Pierre driving her to Lilycove City, he was told to deliver her to Thomas. Although it was a great feeling to reunite with her brother, Giselle could not help but feel slightly blindsided by her family. Now, she needs to make an important decision. She could either continue to reside with Thomas or she could attempt to travel to Lilycove on her own.

"Fendi, how about we talk a break here for a moment?"⁣ Giselle suggested walking towards a massive tree. The fire fox nodded her head as she rushed ahead of her trainer to claim her spot underneath the tree. Giselle took a seat next to Fendi, her blue-gray eyes staring up at the peaceful sky. "What to do... What to do?" She asked out loudly more to herself than to Fendi.

Giselle smiled and nodded her head at Josh's encouraging words. She moved a little closer towards the elegant bird. Inhaling, then exhaling a deep breath, Giselle slowly inched her dainty hand out to gently rub up against the Pidgeot's colorful crest. At this point, her choice is quite obvious. She could have taken Josh's advice to either choose his Talonflame or Volcarona to help keep her warm, but she decided to follow her heart and put her trust in the Pidgeot.

"Alright, Pazuzu. I am going to put all of my trust in you." She spoke softly to the Pidgeot, flashing him with a warm smile before pulling away from him a bit. She took a minute to ensure that her design bag was tightly secured around her body to prevent it from dropping from her body. "Okay, Josh. I think I am ready." She nodded at the Gym Leader. She then carefully started to climb on the Pidgeot back by holding onto the saddle. Unfortunately, her first attempt was not too successful. She slipped off and landed on her feet before wiping her hands and then attempting to try again. This time, she managed to climb onto the saddle without any other issues. "Alright. You have got this!" She thought to herself.

Giselle felt a little disappointed at the fact that she would not be able to experience the flying taxi today. It was nothing personal against Josh or his flying companions. She does believe that Josh and his Pokemon would be able to get her to Slateport City without any issues. However, she was not prepared to fly on top of a Pokemon. Giselle sighed, then shook her head at Josh. "It is not that I do not believe you or anything along those lines... I do not believe that I am properly dressed to fly on top of a Pokemon," she admitted, slightly brushing her dainty fingertips against her pleated skirt.

Giselle's soft blue-gray eyes shifted over towards the teenage boy around her age. Unlike her, her peer did not seem to show any fear or doubt in regards to flying on one of Josh's Pokemon. She assumed that this is not his first time flying on top of a Pokemon. She could use some of his courage at this point.

Her keen eyes soon focused on the Pidgeot in front of her. So majestic and so beautiful. She thought to herself. But would she be able to ride it?

For a moment, a concerned facial expression is shown over Giselle's face as she listened to the words escaping from her brother's face. She then narrowed her piercing eyes at him as a couple of soft giggles sound off from her mouth, and she gives him a playful shove. "Tommy! You almost had me fooled there for a minute! Ha! I cannot believe that some people like to think I am the dramatic one in the family!" She shook her head and laughed a bit. Poor Giselle, if she watched the news she would know that Tommy was not joking around with her.

Giselle's attention soon shifted from Tommy once the kind Indeedee approached her and offered to take care of her filthy boots. "Oh, thank you!" Giselle smiled, stepping out of her boots and handing them over to Amy. Giselle then flopped down on the bed. Her eyes widen a bit as she takes her hand to pat the bed a couple of times. "Oh, this bed is pretty comfortable," she admitted with a small smile.

"A gym leader? Really? Is there anything she can't do?" She giggled, carefully pushing herself up from the comfortable bed to stand up on her two feet. "Aww, you know me pretty well, huh? The hot springs are definitely on my list to check out while I am in Hoenn!" She responded to him. In fact, she could use a visit to the hot springs right now. But alas, she will have to wait a little longer to experience them.

"Well, it sounds like you love being here, and that is all that matters, right? I hate to admit it, but you do seem a lot happier here," she pointed out with a warm smile. Despite their sibling banter, Giselle does care about Tommy a lot, and it makes her happier to see him in a better place in life. "Wait... What do you mean about being able to expand underground?" She questioned, raising her left eyebrow at his previous statement. It looks like she is about to find out what he meant by those words as she put her clean boots on, then followed him outside.

Fendi let out a joyous cry when the fluffy Audino made his way over to her. "Aww, that's the fluffiest Audino I have ever laid eyes on," ⁣ she stated in awe as she admired Pulse for a few seconds.

After her brother, Thomas Benoit , helped her realize that she did not travel to the Hoenn Region with the appropriate wardrobe, Giselle figured that she would take a quick trip to Slateport's Upper District to do a little bit of shopping. She has always heard that the shopping district has some of the cutest bouquets in the Hoenn Region, and she is more than excited to experience them for herself. Thomas did not feel too comfortable with the idea of her traveling to Slateport City alone, so she had to promise him that she would at least take a flying taxi to her destination.

Giselle traveled along the path that would lead her to the flying taxi station. Along the way, she made it her business to snap a couple of selfies and load them onto her social media pages. Luckily, it did not take her too long to reach the station. A soft smile curled around her soft pink lips as she greeted the courier. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Josh. I am Giselle." She introduced herself to him. Her soft blue-gray eyes kept eye contact with him for a few seconds before shifting over towards the various flying types accompanying him.

A slight frown soon showed over her fair face. " Uhh, hop on one? You want me to ride one? I thought this was a flying taxi... You know, like the ones in the Galar Region? The ones where I am able to sit in a carriage and the Pokemon carries me to my location." She responded to him. She was not being rude or anything, just a little bit confused. Of course, Kalos has ridden Pokemon, and she has rode a Skiddo or two, but she has never flown on the bike of a flying-type Pokemon before!
