Giselle was born and raised in Shalour City, a small and charming seaside city located in the western portion of the Kalos Region. Giselle is a part of a noble family. She is the daughter of Marquis Daniel and Marchinoess Samantha Benoit. Her mother is a famous retired Top Coordinator and Idol. Her father was a former surfer and ranger. Her parents often spoiled her and treated her like a "princess" by giving her everything that her heart desired. It is not a surprise that she has turned out to be an overly pampered and high-maintenance young lady who takes pleasure in the finer things that life has to offer her over the years.

During her youth years, Giselle spent most of her time traveling and training alongside her mother, due to her mother’s demanding careers. Therefore, she did not have too much of a choice but to fall in love with traveling and Pokémon. She would often watch her mother participate in contests and train and breed the finest Pokemon, which also gave her the amazing opportunity to care for Pokémon and how to understand them a little bit better along the way. She learned how to sing and dance by watching her mother perform on stage, and she even became fluent in multiple languages across the world due to traveling from region to region alongside her mother. Whenever she was not busy practicing her refining her fine arts skills or assisting her mother with caring for her Pokemon, Giselle would spend time with her mother in the kitchen, too, learning how to prepare and bake delicious treats for Pokémon and humans alike.

Throughout her pre-teenage years, Giselle was mostly known as the beautiful and sophisticated honey-haired bombshell that ruled over the popular kids at her private school. Of course, with all the popularity that was engulfing her, people often labeled her as just another pretty girl with a cold heart and love for expensive materials. There were times where she felt as if she was a little bit better than other students attending the school, and she strongly believed that the world revolved around her. She was known to be a clever and determined young lady who held high expectations for herself. She was one of the top students in her class. However, she felt that even though she was ahead of most of the students in her class, she wasn't getting what she truly wanted out of her life. Her mother wanted her to follow in her footsteps of becoming a top coordinator like herself. Therefore, she wasted no time attempting to mold her into her image. After watching a live Pokémon Contest performance with her other, Giselle decided that she wanted to become a talented and well-respected coordinator like her mother. It was not until she turned the age of 13 that she asked her mother if she could start her own Pokémon journey and follow her path of becoming an aspiring coordinator. Her mother was delighted for her that her precious child shared her passion.

At the start of her journey to becoming a coordinator, Giselle had chosen a fiery, confident, yet kindhearted Fennekin to be her starter Pokemon. Luckily, the two of them were able to develop a rather strong and everlasting bond with each other within a short amount of time. It was not too much longer before Giselle would encounter a whimsical Flabebe in a nearby forest. The mystical and playful Flabebe was a bit of an outcast in the forest due to her constant need to be the center of attention, which often leads her to create trouble for everyone else around her. Giselle was able to see past Flabebe’s self-absorbed and mischievous personality after she protected her and her Fennekin from a pack of Mightyena by unleasing a gorgeous yet powerful Fairy Wind.

With a new member on her team, Giselle was able to take down a couple of gym leaders, earning their badges and creating fun and lasting memories along the way. Eventually, her Flabebe would evolve into a beautiful and majestic Floette, and a timid Eevee who shared a passion for dancing would be gifted to Giselle by her mother to show her unwavering support. She trained the Eevee alongside her other Pokémon and fed it delicious treats to enhance her cuteness and beauty before evolving it into a stunning Espeon. She trained her growing team with grace, elegance, and power. She managed to enter a few battle tournaments to strengthen her battling skills. Surprisingly, she was able to win most of those battle tournaments, which soon helped her to gain even more confidence to take on the task of becoming a top coordinator. She later started to participate in Pokémon contests, winning contest ribbons after contest ribbons with her Fennekin, Floette, and Espeon. She quickly gained fame and popularity as a blooming coordinator across the Kalos Region. People would travel across the world to witness her perform with her beautiful and powerful Pokémon. However, others become even more interested in her strikingly beautiful appearance, natural poise, and great sense of fashion while performing on the stage. It was not too much longer before Giselle and her team made it to the Master Level Contest to compete for the title of Top Coordinator. Despite her talented battling skills and her dazzling performances, Giselle and her team fell a little too short of earning the title of Top Coorindator after losing to her favorite idol. She was severely heartbroken by her defeat and took some time off as a coordinator. She believed that she had failed her mother. In the meantime, she and her Pokémon took part in a few modeling gigs and have managed to grace the covers of many magazines related to fashion, beauty, and style.

Despite her loss, Giselle still managed to gain fame and fortune from her career as a high-profile coordinator and social media influencer. However, there was not enough for her. She felt as if her life was still missing a huge puzzle piece that she could not find. After wallowing around in her self-pity for a few months, Giselle finally decided that it was time to pick herself back up and dust herself off again to embark on a new journey. A new journey that would require her to transfer to the Hoenn Region. There, she will face new challenges to capture new Pokémon and create even more meaningful memories and connections with others.
