"Sounds like they poked one hell of an Ursarang. Feel sorry for those folks, they just wanted peace." Sometimes that's just how the die rolled didn't it? A solution that seemed like it was for the better good would turn sour down the lie and bite back right on the ass. Those kind of situations were just all too sad.

He honestly wasn't sure he agreed or not with the bard's words about life changing a person. It wasn't that he wasn't wrong but..no he was right. Life did have a way of changing them didn't it? "No kidding..." He thought back to a time when he was probably changed for the better. It wasn't a grand event or epic tale. No it was... "I do remember when a friend of mine set me back on the right path when I had doubts."

"I fancy myself a knight of sorts back home. Yet around me a whole lotta people showed they had special qualities. Maybe I was jealous, maybe it all made me feel small. It clouded my heart and I sought to do nothing but to get stronger. You'd think that'd clear everything up right? Well...maybe at first." His chest started stinging as he remembered the strike from his Urshifu, his face burned from the punch from him.

"A friend was there as I was training and I told him of my doubts. He slugged me. Right in the face." He pointed to a cheek with a grin, one of pride and longing, "He told me that I was being an idiot. That I didn't need some kind of special quality about me to help. People already thought of me as their hero. That what I had already done did matter to them. To their hearts."

His words echoed in his head once again, "He then told me that I needed to just persevere if I wanted to be strong. That I couldn't let the troubles of the world put me down. That even if it did I just needed to stand back up. Stand back up and aim to overcome it. I like to think I still do that even if the world becomes a scary place as time goes by. I just wish he was still around to stand with me...I miss him."

A tear rolled down his face.

He vaguely remembers this place when he saw it back during the Littleroot mess. How he managed to avoid coming here is a question in of itself. Well he was here now so he might as well take a look around and see if he could find anything. After all that "heart" or whatever seemed interesting if they could somehow make use of it. If they even needed something like that at this point.

As he walked he noticed something slip past his peripheral, a small green slug. A familiar green slug. He didn't even hesitate to chase after the green speck as it bounced around. He could never forget, forget the thing that lived inside of him for the better part of a year. After that it left in the form of a dog that tried to rip his throat out. Guess his blood wasn't good enough for it and it wanted to complain to the chef.

What an asshole.

As he gave chase he didn't realize it until he was already crashing into something. Or someone. The little bugger led him running right into someone else who was here beside him and as Kazimir tripped over himself he just groaned from his prone position on the ground. "Uh...sorry...was chasing a...bug. You...alright...hey." He didn't recognize them, "Who are you?"

'I'm making it my concern'

That was the response that blue eyes made when they met cold metallic ones as Kazimir stood there frozen in place at what happened. He was just passing through town like an ominous wind blowing through the autumn season. He wasn't even looking for trouble like he usually does today but it seemed like trouble found him. Or did he find trouble? Eh semantics.

"Fellas there's other ways to deal with problems. Wouldn't you agree?" His eyes never left even as his hands moved towards his belt and ran a finger over his Pokeballs. Each one felt ready to pop out and have themselves a good scrap. Kaz was too but he was going to give this guy one moment to answer something. A a demand more than an actual question that his blue eyes asked him as he stared at him.

'Give me a reason not to get involved'

Alright the dog had some bark to him. That actually got a bit of an eyebrow twitch out of the hero though thankfully his mask would keep the mutt from seeing it. That was the most important part in all of this. "Don't worry, just a matter of time till we take it back and send ya'll with your tails between your legs."

The ominous wind combination that his two Pokemon created did seem to retaliate that claim as it rained down on the Mismagius knocking her out of the sky and falling to the blue void below. Lucky her Kaz managed to return her to safety and swap them out with a Charizard that roared with aggression as it flew right at the Golbat slamming into it with a body slam.

"Besides, someone has to stand up to Rocket's villainy, why not a hero?" Its bravado but its bravado with conviction. They were the bad guys. Even the one in front of him was a bad guy right? "As long as I'm breathing I'll make sure you don't spread anymore pain anywhere else!"

A volley of aura spheres are thrown at the trapped Heatran pummeling them till they're faces and bodies have dents in them. Whatever damage they took it was enough to turn them into still forms that wouldn't be bothering them anymore.

With a victory under their belt the Clawitzer rewards the party with a heal pulse to keep their energy and hopefully spirits up the more they advanced. "So much shit coming outta here. Maybe ya should plug it up once we're done getting whatever's down here Matt." It wasn't worth letting more of these things out, not even the mist that seemed to pour from every crevice on this damn island.

His world is burning.

The walls around him were up in flames. His brothers and sisters were littering the floor with nothing but their bodies. His sensei and his own partner were doing their best to fight against the perpetrators. Kazimir himself made his way to the front holding nothing but an injured shoulder and a Honedge broken in half and long passed, yet its broken blade would still find some use to plunge into whoever was attacking.

Upon finding his master and Pokemon lying on the ground in pain he understood why they were struggling. It was the league. It was the league and their avatars. and stood before them with two legendary beasts at their sides. Words echoed from one in his head as he held up his weapon in defense and just screamed out "Why?!"


"The problem is it's not just us who makes the mess is it? How many of your people make messes, and then refuse to answer for it?"

His sensei and Domon find themselves back on their feet and charge at Yvetal and its (previous) avatar as the bird's wings send an ominous wind to try and blow them back. Kaz goes after Doug and Tapu Lele, the guardian spirit trying its best to slow him down with a fairy wind but Kaz's legs push him forward, they push him past it and right at the so called "medic" who was part of this destruction as he roars and thrusts his blade right at his chest.

For a second he was sure he saw himself stop before he could even do it and hot tears streak down his face before he woke up.

"NO!" He shoots forward from his sleeping position with tears in his eyes as they shoot wide open. It takes a second for him to realize he's back in the real world and not a dream, yet the face he sees across from him is something he can't believe is real. Its familiar, and its one that causes his face to twist into a mix of questioning, anger, and left over grief from the nightmare he experienced as his head tilted to the side. "The hell are you doing."

Thinking back he's never been to Fortree that much in all of his time here in Hoenn. He's passed by for sure but never took the time to actually get to know the city. Who knew a hidden treasure like a school for swordplay was hidden among the proverbial trees.

"Well, let's see if i'm not too rusty." It had been so long since he actually held a sword in his hand and he wanted to know if he was still competent with one. Depending on how you viewed it he was an amateur at worse and a master at best. The horrible truth was that the latter only existed in a dream of knights and dragons that he wasn't a hundred percent was even completely real even if told otherwise. Besides does experience in a dream even translate to the real world? He was here to find out.

"Maybe new species decided to move in." He did his best to stay on track of their job now that he wasn't gushing nostalgic. Still thinking about this area there were many answers to this question, "Maybe something in the landscaped changed?" It was a big place after all, they would probably be here a while.

"...lue..."

Kaz froze in place and looked back at Emmet with a quizzical look on his face. "What did you say?"

"Red...or Blue?" The voice was carried by an ominous wind and seemed to come from nowhere and everywhere. "Uh...red? Where the hell is that coming from?"
