The Urshifu wouldn't show it but the first punch did indeed sting as the feeling lingered on his chest where it struck. The added one-two combo only agitated the pain even more as the bear did his best to tank both hits. The only sign of weakness that he would allow was his own legs stumbling backward from the last punch. Even if he wanted to be he wasn't an immovable object, not today.

So he would just have to be an unstoppable force and gripped his fist tightly. With a glare and a roar he retaliated with a wicked blow of his own aimed right into the chest of the Scizor. Close quarters combat was its specialty after all and it was going to explain with its fists why that was a fact.

"Behind you!" The warning is nothing but a courtesy from a trainer to their Pokemon. Domon's instincts are as sharp as ever so he could already detect the Beedrill making a comeback after their Z-Move managed to wear them down. The first sting managed to be danced around the Urshifu but the second one was lucky enough to get him on the side even as he tried to weave his way around it.

Maybe it was just the lack of breath and energy slowing him down or the bug was just that much quicker in general it didn't matter not. If something wasn't done quick then this was probably the end for him. So he would just keep fighting till then, till his last breath was taken from him and his will dried up till nothing was left.

All this conveyed in a single roar.

A hair's length was the only thing separating the Urshifu's hand from the back of the Zeraora to cement his victory. Even still the Pokemon knew the call of the ref's whistle and brought his hand back to extend it towards the Zeraora in a show of respect. They both had managed to beat each other to their limit and he had to commend that. Heck the bear might even consider the cat his rival.

"Yeah. Looks like he really enjoyed it too, not many can give him a run for his money. Last who did were his own kind. Be proud of that Josh." The ginger giant laughed as he grabbed the gym leader's arm and raised it up alongside his for the crowd to erupt into a mess of cheers and whistles for the two of them. "But just you wait. When we come knocking at your gym you better hope Domon's in the mood for a race instead of a brawl. Cause that badge of yours is ours."

Domon wasted no time in making the first move of the fight once he laid eyes upon the bull. With hands clasped together a sphere full of his fighting spirit emerged and shot out of his hands like a bullet. "Looks like someone's fired up already!" Be it the atmosphere or maybe a hidden lust that this tournament brought out the bear was ready for a fight and his aura sphere was one way to show it.

"Better hope your partner can keep up with mine, he's way more special than the average one of these for a reason!" They hadn't had the chance to use their "trump card" as the battles were very explosive and quick in this tournament but Kaz liked to think that worked in their favor. It was an ace up their sleeve that not many needed to know about and spread around inviting more challenges to tire them out.

They were at their breaking point the both of them. Either side could win this and it all came down to who would go down first. The quick attack wasn't a surprise but even Domon knew he wasn't going to dodge it either way and he was willing to accept that.

Until...

"Aerial Ace!" The command planted the vision of victory that Kaz had thought of the second he saw the cat charge right at them. They weren't going to last much longer, this attack might take them out, but they knew that they would have to be the second fighter to fall in this fight to claim victory. So splaying his fist open into a single open palm he brought it down into a swift chop, the air being cut away as if a knife was swung, as the aerial ace aimed right into the back of the Zeraora.

Mega evolution was a nasty thing to pull out especially when the Urshifu knew the benefits it could give to a Pokemon. Before he could even turn to his trainer Kaz was already striking a pose as a golden aura surrounded him. It was probably their best bet at this point, Z-Moves, that is. The Urshifu was already too strained as it was so Mega Evolution would just drain his stamina even more.

They needed a decisive move.

That's what this power his trainer had and as the energy flowed from Trainer to Pokemon the Urshifu let out a roar as he held his hands up to meet the spinning Pokemon. "Go all out!" Punching the air several ephemeral fists made of fighting spirit surrounded the bear before launching to try and break the Beedrill with an all out pummeling z-move off course as much as it could. Just enough that even it clipping the bear wouldn't do so much damage to it.

"Show him how tough those muscles are!" Muscles were one of their prime weapons between the two of them. It was a mark of their strength as well as dedication. Yet the Urshifu would taunt that he had the bigger set than his trainer and he aimed to prove that by using them to block this punch from the metal bug. Still he bulked himself up as he flexed, letting his body become slightly bigger as he pumped his muscles to their fullest to get them ready for a real fight.

Even as the fist connected the Urshifu stood his ground and with a simple cough he was still standing on too feet. It still stung like a Beedrill but he could take it, he had to for the sake of victory!

"Uh oh." It seemed Dynamax was the new shiny thing to play around with on the town and he couldn't say it wasn't impressive. Galar was his home and those kind of battles always did hype him up. Seeing up close and personal like this didn't change the fact that it was an intimidating sight. Yet they couldn't give up just yet, if they were going to hit them with a large Pokemon then they would just do the next best thing, hit them with a large attack.

"Let's go Domon! Power through them! All! Out! PUmmeling!" As he struck a pose a golden aura surrounded Kaz before flowing into his Urshifu who with a single punch met the fury cutter head on. Then another punch, and another, and finally more came in the form of fists made of pure fighting spirit that launched themselves right into Kama's face.

There was a slight tilt of the head as the other man spoke. His words caught the other man's attention like bait and now his brain was half focused on the battle and half focused on trying to figure out if they actually knew each other. The longer he stared at the man he swore he saw him before yet there was something about him that didn't seem right.

"Crap. Domon watch out!" When he realized the bird had flown circles around his partner he tried to warn the bear but it was already too late. A beak found its prey in the Urshifu's shoulder and the bear could only growl as he quickly turned around, a speck of red falling from his shoulder wound as it tore around the beak and delivered a wicked blow as a counter to the bird.

The ball of fighting spirit hit its mark and seemed to knock the cat out of its run around Domon but they weren't foolish enough to think that would be the end of it. If it had the energy to run then it still had the energy to fight, and fight they did as Josh pulled out a glove that made Kaz's eyes go wide. He did something similar save with Mega Stones instead of Z-Crystals so he could already guess what was coming next. "Domon brace-!"

Josh and Raikiri were faster than his words, faster than the King of Fighters instincts as the yellow mythical cat surged forward with blinding speed in the blink of an eye. A single swipe was all that struck Domon yet it stung like a bullet at the speed it came at him. Feeling the wind and lightning dance past him the fur on the bear might have stayed windswept if he didn't turn to face the cat once more. A mixture of emotions were plain in his eyes, appreciation in one for the cat driving him this far and pride in the other to show that he wasn't down and out of the fight just yet.

Clenching his fist he let out a final roar as he raced at the cat with a wicked blow coming his way to try and end it all once and for all.

On a bench between food stalls sat two large beasts, one a man and another a bear, both of them sipping down bottles of water in unison and then spilling some onto their hands to splash in their face. While all the fighting they had been doing in the tournament was fun and getting their spirits fired up their bodies could only take so much. A good fighter knows when to take a breath and let themselves rest before going onto the next match otherwise they run the risk of giving themselves a disadvantage in the heat of battle.

So for now it was time to rest and recharge. What better way to do that then to fill up on food and drinks? The little stalls dotting around the city were full of different things one can fill their stomach with so it was a little hard to decide on what to eat first. Right now though a bit of rest was in order, sore muscles didn't need to move around so much once they were tired out so a little people watching from the bench as they sipped their water was fine for the moment.

"Almost forgot you were joining the fun Ed. Crazy I haven't run into ya till now." He remembers the man from when they met during their little break from all the fighting. With all the fun he was having it almost felt a lifetime ago but now it seems like fate brought them together again. Crazy how things like that work out. "Hope you're ready for us though. We've been giving a hundred and ten percent all day, right buddy?"

The Urshifu shares a glance between the two men and lets out an affirming grunt as he takes his place on the field and drops into his stance immediately. With a well earned chance to catch his breath in the middle of all the fighting he felt renewed, ready to take on another dozen or so opponents before the tournament's end if he has to. He was here to prove his strength after all.
