the terrifying titan fell back into the ocean, the waves swelling around the tentacruel as it began to gargle and sink into the sea. the crashing waves fell upon olivia and her company but she did not falter. instead, she released three pokemon: sao the gorgebyss, ornea the staryu, and stilbe the slowbro. "contain it." olivia ordered, and simultaneously, all three pokemon used psychic. a silence fell over the trio as they concentrated their minds to complete the task given to them.
it took a few moments, but slowly, a swirling bubble of pink energy broke through the surface of the salty waters; inside was the unconscious tentacruel. olivia called out, "keep it there, do not release it until i have given the order." then, atop her mantine, she finally returned to the shore. the crowd was still and silent, curious as to what the sootopolis gym leader was doing. yes, they had been saved, but now the sea witch brought the monster out once more?
panic can spread like wild fire, and olivia knew that all too well. "friends, stay calm." she began, as members of the crown began to fill in at olivia's side. her entourage about, she whispered orders for their boat to be brought to the coast, and the mutant captured. curt nods were given as a select few members of her guard did as they were bid. "this attack has been stopped with the aide of our champion ALEXANDER STONE as well as the courageous acts of a ranger and a trainer who i am sure will be a familiar face in the future." olivia continued, giving props to Laurence Anderson and @theodore. her azure eyes shifted to where the crowd's gaze remained: on the bubbled monster. she continued, "yet, we cannot blame this pokemon for its actions, nor should we wish any further harm unto it; for this is not the first, nor do i believe it will be the last, time an attack such as this will happen. mutations and enraged pokemon can be attributed to many things, but it is of my professional and educated opinion, as both a professor and gym leader, that this is - in part - due to the environment. pollution increased six fold while rocket held onto slateport, and in turn, brought horrors to the habitats of many pokemon. this tentacruel a prime example."
her voice was droned out by the whirring of an incoming boat, members of the crown aboard the vessel as they began to work out how to get the creature safely aboard. "it is with this theory in mind that i will research and rehabilitate this pokemon in the safety of the sootopolis seas. not only will i discover what caused such an aggressive and sudden mutation, but i will do my duty to you, the people, and assure that this pokemon is safely released back into the wild with a soothed nature and acclimation to humans so that this pokemon will never again harm hoenn." olivia finished. a slow clap began to surge through the crowd, and olivia flashed a small smile. "but let us, once more, give thanks to our brave champion, ALEXANDER STONE! for without his stalwart leadership this would not have gone as smoothly as wished." again, the crowd cheered. olivia figured alexander could use the positive attention as much as her. plus, with the crowd focused on him, her team could work on safely netting and carrying the giant.
