As the "Alien" they met introduced himself and the creature upon his back showed itself, Balder decided to let the others speak. All their points were logical to some extent, but only Isra had the decency to introduce herself. It's possible that their situation kind of made the others forget that simple politeness, but it's logical to do so.[break][break]

While Isra introduced herself and asked her question about the creature, Balder proceeded to call his Kingdra into its pokeball, yet allowed the Crobat and Charizard to roam freely around them, as a form of security. Once the lady's introduction was completed, Balder proceeded to do a short bow.[break][break]

"A pleasure to meet you in this... rather quiet land, Velmos. My name is Balder. And yes, these are my friends." As he said that, Balder gestured to Charizard and Crobat that were doing aerial surveillance. "As for an answer of who we are... I think the simplest way to explain it is that we are humans from another world or dimension? I'm still having a hard time with this concept to be honest. The alolan man indicated the lion behind them, that seemed to have stayed quiet for some reason. The man will need to keep an eye on the lion, to make sure everything was alright. The tree had garnered quite an interest. Enough to attract attention and even be used as the center of a contest. The resurrection of beauty contests in Hoenn they say. Did the League really think this was a natural occurrence and nothing should be done about it? No, knowing them, they surely had people investigating in the background. Surely they wouldn't be hosting so extravagant just for the sake of a display?[break][break]

Looking at Littleroot from the woods surrounding it, Balder analyzed the situation. Hard to say what could be happening inside, or how deep the tree can be. What was certain though is that the appearance in this remote town was... odd. Why appear in this town? Was it because of the calmness and it's closeness to nature? Or was it completely random?[break][break]

Solgaleo appeared beside his Avatar in a flash of red. Balder decided to embark upon him, rubbing the lion's mane at the same time. It's gonna be hard, but try to bring us as close to the roots as possible. I believe in you partner." The lion emitted a low growl as it opened a portal and jumped into it, hopefully landing at a discreet location inside.[break][break]

The lady seemed content with the fact that the night was young and more could be done. Her reaction to his invitation of going for a swim, blushing and all, made the alolan man chuckle a bit. As she proceeded towards the water, Balder proceeded to remove his pants, leaving him in his boxers. Better suited for swimming, since they were tight upon his skin compared to the baggy pants he wore. Taking another gulp of Rhum, he dropped the bottle gently upon the sand, careful not to spill it, and advanced towards the waves.[break][break]

As he got his feet in the water, he heard the woman ask if he had an habit of swimming at night. Balder lifted his head, staring at the moon for a bit before turning to glance at Illeana. "To me, the time of the day matters not. It may even be the darkest of night, if I wish to take a swim, it won't stop me. Plus, I can do without light."[break][break]

As he said those words, the palm of his hand lit up in a golden-light, which he oriented towards the girl's legs and slowly raised it up, being careful not to blind her. "I must say, you do look quite gorgeous under the shine of the light of the day." He then redirected his hand-light to the sea to make sure there were no pokemons waiting for them. Seeing there was no dangers for them, he began to move in deeper, letting the water raise up to his waist. Balder then turned around, waiting for the lady.

It seems the lady was trying to understand what he mean by visions of the past. As she said memories, he nodded and took another sip of the bottle of rum. He had been doing this a lot of times recently. Dwelling on the past. As if he was searching for something within them. Comfort? An answer to his current issues? A new goal even? It was hard to say at this point.[break][break]

After expressing common courtesy to the lady, in the manner of a kiss on the back of her hand, he noticed her blush and murmur a reply to his introduction, one he barely understood sadly. As for what followed, the Alolan man couldn't help but be surprised by her words. Had she not read the news article of the previous months? Unless she was newly arrived... This would explain her lack of reaction at his name.[break][break]

"All rumors, no matter how bad they are, generally hold a sliver of truth within them. But I shan't focus on these for now. We should enjoy our meeting instead. Live out the night and have as much fun as we can." A soft smile on his face, the young man turned his head to look at the sea, then back at the lady.[break][break]

"I'm thinking of taking another dip before continuing to drink. Would you like to join me, Illeana? The waves are as calm and soft as you are and lack the coldness they are known for in this time of the year." If they were to swim, it would allow the lady to get a change of pace, possibly allowing her to not get overwhelmed by the alcohol, and possibly help her return to a state closer to normal?

The girl was clearly tipsy. No, even drunk would be a better term at this point. After taking another sip of her bottle, she stated that swimming and drinking was fun, but proceeded to ask why he said it would be a long night. The man's face turned grim as he proceeded to take a sip of his bottle. "Thoughts of the past. A vision, haunting the mind. There are many ways to state what could make this night long, which is why I sit here once more."[break][break]

As she proceeded to answer why she was here, the lady proceeded to put her finger on her bottom lip. A cute action, which made the young man focus on her plump, soft-looking lips. Balder's eyelids closed for a second as he pushed those thoughts in the back of his mind. Now's not a good time. Reopening them, he observed the lady explain her reasoning.[break][break]

While he could agree that the beach was nice and peaceful, the Alolan man couldn't exactly agree that using Rum to build a tolerance to the effects of the drink. It was simply too strong a drink for a beginner. While the taste was indeed very good, she should've began with something softer. Maybe a smirnoff? Or that ice cream-flavored vodka that was hiding behind him.[break][break]

Still, she seemed to be having a good time, and did confirm that she liked it. Who was he to stop her and change her bottle to something softer? Suddenly, the lady extends her hand as she introduces herself. "Illeana huh? A beautiful name for a wonderful woman." The Alolan man then stands up, putting his bottle back on the sand. He gently grabs the lady's hand and brings it to his lips, dropping a soft kiss on it. "Balder is my name. You may have heard rumors about me, but I can tell you that they are wrong."
