The nod from the councilman was more then enough of a confirmation to what Balder had assumed and declared. The unnatural appearance of this creature was most likely the result of some obscure phenomenon, but digging deeper would go against his desire. Everyone deserves their secrets. Yet, what Orion said following that made the man a bit sad as he stood up. [break][break]

"I understand not wanting to reveal him to others for his safety. But by doing so... You'll be confining him to a lonely life. It's gonna be hard for him, and I'm pretty sure that's not what he wants. He deserves better then that. But it's your call on this. I can't help but feel sad for him though..."[break][break]

The Gallade suddenly poked his trainer in the back, making the man turn his head towards it. Something had acquired the attention of the warrior pokemon and seemed to be something the trainer should see too. Balder nodded before gazing back to Orion. "I'm going to remain in Meteor Falls for now, see if I can gather more people. But knowing you'll tag along is definitely going to help."[break][break]

"Now, sadly, I'll have to leave you at your own device. I need to find a sleeping location and see if I can get in touch with anyone else that could assist us. Remember: Tomorrow, same time, right here. That's when we'll leave. I'll wait a few minutes, but if I don't see you showing up, I'll assume you changed your mind. I won't hold a grudge if you do, it's normal to value your life first. Good luck Orion, I'll see you tomorrow." As he said those words, he waved at the man before departing, following the Gallade deeper into the location, hopefully towards a sleeping place.

The man was sitting in the sands of the beach, topless and seemingly still a bit wet from swimming earlier. Beside him, two bottles of alcohol, one of rum and the other of a softer but sweeter variant. The alolan man proceeded to uncork the rum bottle, drinking directly from the source. It was that kind of night yes.[break][break]

Now that he had established his temporary base upon this island, near Dewford city, the man couldn't help but wonder what he should do next. The adventure in that other world had been quite... special in itself. Now that he was back here... It almost seemed like there was nothing to do. For some reason, the Crown and most of the leagues were not going for Dewford, so that allowed the man a moment of respite.[break][break]

That was, until he heard a sweet voice in the air, singing a pirate song. The man took his eyes off the waves before him to look around, until he noticed a young lady that was now a few inches from him, almost surprising him. The newly arrived girl proceeded to ask if he was enjoying the beach. "Hmm... I guess you could say that. A quick swim before drinking is already a refreshing way to start a long night. What about you?"[break][break]

As he waited for her reply, he proceeded to take a sip from his bottle again and analyzed her features. Black hair, a sweet smell to her, bare feet in the sand. And a bottle of rum in her hand as well. It seemed she had decided to drink her night away, but was there a reason? Something weighing on her mind?

It was mainly meant to tease the lady, as well as be a Jab to the man who killed him. "Did she not tell you all of this, K- ... Pokk- Wait, what name should I use online? Pretty sure you don't want to reveal your true identity on an online platform that may have logs of our conversations."[break][break]

Suddenly, a notification appeared on Manderville's hud, making him frown. "Shit. Seems like time's up for me." The man advanced towards the couple, placing a hand on the girl's head and rubbing it gently. "You're free to love who you want you know? Live as you see fit and don't let others stop you." He then looked at Tony the tiger. "You need to be more careful about your identity man. Also, I'm calling you Tony the Tiger from now on. Make sure the little ball of fire right here stays unharmed alright? She has a tendency to get involved with lots of problems..."[break][break]

On this note, the man backed away from them to let them be alone. "Next time I see you guys, it's gonna be in the real world. And hopefully, not with the crown still after my steely ass. See you next time!" With a flick of his wrist, a menu appeared on his display and he proceeded to log out of the game. Sadly, due to certain circumstances, he was unable to play it afterwards.

"God fucking damn it." Was all that Balder could usher as he saw everything happen. His pokemon getting caught by some of those cubes, Pearson getting beaten bloody and carried away while his Lucario got crushed to death... Things were definitely not going well, and just the illusion that the lady's Zoroark most likely wouldn't be enough to protect them.[break][break]

But Pokkenger had already began moving forward, assaulting the cubes to try and free everyone involved. Yet... It was most likely too late for Pearson. The cubes carrying him had flew away much quicker then the others, heading for the central tower. Maybe making their way there after clearing these foes would be an idea?[break][break]

But now, Colossus was Balder's top priority. "Marnie, return!" The Obstagoon quickly returned to her master's side before getting called back into her pokeball. Balder then pulled two pokeballs from the belts, opening them to reveal Mizuryuu the Kingdra and Koga the Crobat. "Cover the field and weaken them."[break][break]

The Kingdra proceeded to release an intense smokescreen from its beak, hopefully covering the whole field. While it would impair most of the individuals here, Balder believed they would be bright enough to circumvent this issue and act accordingly. As the screen finished setting up, the Crobat rose up and unleashing the biggest Screech it could do, hoping to startle the cubes and weaken their defenses.[break][break]

As the bat's sound resonated in the area, Balder pulled another pokeball from his belt. "Go save your friend, Blaze." The Alolan man threw the pokeball in the direction that the cubes were bringing the Coalossal. As it started falling towards the ground, the pokeball opened to allow an angry Charizard to emerge, immediately firing a Flamethrower at the cubes holding the rock giant. As the dragon-like creature fought, Balder looked behind him, speaking loud enough so that all humans could hear him.[break][break]

"You're gonna hate me for this, but forget about Pearson for now! We know where they're heading so we'll rescue him... Once we are out of this situation! Use this smokescreen as a chance to move forward and hide, I'll get my pokemon free and catch up as soon as possible!" Was it the brightest idea he had? Probably not. But it did seem like the best option to ensure the majority's survival right now. And he couldn't just abandon his pokemon after what he did...

And coincidentally, appearing behind his first kill. As he appeared, Manderville spitted an orange ball of fur on the ball, courtesy of the previous kiss. He proceeded to re-equip his "clothes" before advancing and embracing Weather girl from behind. "I'll be honest with you Stormy, I didn't expect you to meet you back here. And sorry for the kill, but I do believe you deserved it for randomly killing me. So... You're dating Pokkenger now?"

While the man's laughter caught Balder by surprise a bit, the comment he made following that did make sense. If someone knew that a person was about to head to their death, most individuals would try to stop them. Only few of them would accompany them to make sure they live though. This speaks volume of the councilman's kindness.[break][break]

And thus, he introduced himself. Orion. "Like the stars and the hunter huh... A good name." Could this be seen as a good omen? Maybe. But what made Balder believe in this adventure more was what the councilman/ranger declared next. Not only was the man used to dangerous activities due to his ranger job, but he also had a secret weapon of sort.[break][break]

Orion called forth a pokemon, the likes of which Balder had never seen before. A chimera of multiple features, wearing an helmet upon its head. Balder put one knee on the ground as he observed the creature more closely, a concerned look on his face. "This... This guy doesn't feel natural. I don't know how you acquired him, or why he's wearing an helmet, and I won't ask, but make sure he's taken care of. Some people might target him for their collection or even worse, so protecting him would be better advised. But... I didn't exactly see this creature during the new year, but if it holds the power you say, then this adventure has a lot more potential then I had hoped."

A cold and smooth material.... Clearly, this was from another world. An unidentified material. If they had been the more entrepreneur kind, maybe the group would've brought back shards of this material to have it be analyzed and recreated. But their mission differed from that. There was no time to consider what they could do to better society.[break][break]

Still, it didn't take long for trouble to show up. As Pokkenger called out that we had some invader showing up, Balder proceeded to pull on one of his pokeball on his ammo belt. Opening the pokeball, a Coalossal emerged. "No time to lose. Colossus, do your thing." The stone creature turned back and nodded at Balder before taking off in a heavy sprint, the ground shaking at his every step.[break][break]

Getting close to the barrage formed by Pokkenger and his pokemons, the Coalossal created flames from the pile of coal at the top of his body, having it surround his body. The creature then used the flames to help him propel himself towards the sky, between the alley. The flames condensed upon the front of his body as he began to fall towards the beaming units. Hopefully the difference of weight was massive enough to cause a severe amount of damage.[break][break]

"Marnie, stick to Isra and Orion! Use Obstruct as necessary. I'll get closer." After declaring his orders, Balder proceeded to join Pokkenger on the front line to get a good view of the opponents they were facing, but also to be able to respond in kind. As for the Obstagoon, she proceeded to bring her arms forward, ready to use Obstruct as she stood before Isra.[break][break]

The man of steel noticed Alakazam warping around most people to display her vision. Hearing faintly what Orion said as he was going to join Pokkenger, he decided to warn him as well in case he never saw the psychic creature act. "Pokkenger, make sure they don't surround you, otherwise this might turn ugly."

As the storm intensified somewhat, the Crobat dived into it, preparing itself for his next attack. The field was slowly being placed, possibly in the gym leader's favor. Only time will tell on this side. At least, the challenger didn't seem to let the change in weather affect her. Balder proceeded to pull out goggles from his pocket, covering his eyes from the sand.[break][break]

Suddenly, the Scizor and the Weavile made their moves. The Scizor rushed forward and slammed its pincer down upon the Hippowdon's head with a Quick attack, while the ice pokemon decided to use a flurry against the flying bat, unleashing Icicle Crash. The Crobat took the hit head on, and it did hurt this time, but not all the spikes struck him due to his small body.[break][break]

The spikes that missed their target continued towards Balder instead, who was now stretching. As the ice pikes reached close to Balder, the man began to punch them with his fist of steel, shattering them rapidly. The man looked at the state of both of his pokemons and nodded. "Time to counterattack."[break][break]

As if the creature had always waited for that command, the Crobat's face distorted into a wicked smile. The bat lunged forward, braving the storm to reach the Weavile. Once in close range, the creature would unleash the move Cross Poison, sending two sharp blades of poison goo at the ice creature. As for the Hippowdon, the creature roared before slamming the ground once more, unleashing another Earthquake. How would the challenger fare in this situation?

It didn't take long for the man to return to the location of his death, thanks to the boost of speed granted by Accelerock. But this time, instead of surging in front of them, Manderville decided to do the more silent approach. The man hid between the many trees, observing and listening to the end of their conversation.[break][break]

Their conversation confirmed what Manderville thought: The mage was indeed stormy. As for the tiger going by the name Kaz... The almost naked man didn't know who he was. Maybe Stormy had found a new helper since she became Elite Four? Who knows. But now... Manderville needed to get revenge. But... What would be the most efficient way?[break][break]

An idea struck the fellow. An approach that would leave her speechless and most likely make her drop her guard. Time to test it out. Walking slowly but with a steady pace, the man approached the mage. "Is this any way to treat your sole Alolan friend, Stormy Silph? Consider my heart hurt by those actions of yours."[break][break]

As he got close to her, the man wrapped his hands around her, lifting her up and... Dropping a loving kiss on her lips. A kiss that lasted only seconds but might feel like it lasted longer for those involved. Following the kiss, Manderville looked at the mage, smiling peacefully. Until words were whispered to break the silence: "Dragon Hammer."[break][break]

As soon as those words were said, the man started bending backwards, holding Stormy even tighter to make sure she can't escape, allowing her to feel his working muscles at the same time. As he was getting closer to the ground, he moved the girl further into his arms so that she would hit the ground first. Would she survive such an assault?[break][break]

As the man turned to stare at the two individuals he believed to have assisted, he was able to identify their features. One of them was tall, maybe even slightly taller then Manderville was. And was a literal muscle tiger. Orange fur covering most of his body with white highlights. If it wasn't because of the fur, surely his muscles would be considered almost bigger then Manderville's real life appearance.[break][break]

As for the lady, she was small, but had some... noticeable features, if one could say. Red hair with horns, golden eyes and an attire that worked well to display those features of hers. And she had a staff in her hands, so would that point to her being a mage? As the man slowly walked towards them, he noticed the lady raised her head and started insulting him and... It almost seemed like she was spitting fire as she said those words.[break][break]

That kind of temperament reminded him of someone in Hoenn. A friend he helped some times and whom had now graduated to the status of Elite four. "Wait, Stormy, is that yo-" As he had begun to inquire, flames erupted from her staff, eliminating the last sliver of Manderville's health bar. As the practically naked man fell on the ground, dropping the giant leak beside him, words appeared before his eyes.[break][break]

Luckily for Manderville, his respawning point was close by. As the man stood up in the streets of Valera, still wearing only his white boxers, he started to stretch. "If it's really her, damn that was rude. I'll have to get revenge somehow..." The man then began sprinting once more, powered by the move Accelerock and using a Switch Gear to allow him to reach the location faster. It would still take a bit of time, which would allow the duo to at least grab the leak from the leftover data.

A city of steel, a new kingdom to explore and structures forged with the hardened material. That is the Valora kingdom. Their cold steel that served as the base of their structures seemed more beautiful with the light of the sun laying it. And amidst these sun rays, a form appeared.[break][break]

Enter the Manderville. A tall and sculpted figure, with hair and beard as white as snow. Sporting black boxers and a white tuxedo-like jacket, a gold hammer hooked to his side. The newly-arrived man looked around taking the sight in.[break][break]

Completely different from Hoenn. A new universe to explore. Finding a place to play this game was actually worth it. And the degree of realism from the graphics... Truly splendid. The man took the hammer in his hand and opened the menu, allowing him to select a quest in the vicinity.[break][break]

Hunting wild Farfetch’ds for their leaks, as well as 3 massive leaks... The Galarian versions perhaps? Nonetheless, it was worth exploring. Upon accepting this quest, the practically bottom-less individual marched forward.[break][break]

It didn’t take long to meet a horde. And god do they hurt. The man fought as best as he could, but he still took some damage due to the insane assault he has gone through. Now, only a sliver of his life remained, but he was still missing the one big leak to govern them all.[break][break]

Until he noticed an individual fighting further ahead. Facing another horde of creatures with her magic. Yet... it seemed like she was having a relatively hard time. Was it a good idea to let her alone? Not on a Manderville’s honor! Suddenly, the man’s clothes vanished, leaving him only in white short boxers and his hammer at his side. The man kneeled in a running position, ready to depart.[break][break]

”Accelerock”[break][break]

Thanks to the speed granted by the rock-type move, the man was crossing the distances at a speed he could’ve only experienced upon the back of a pokemon back in the Hoenn region. Now, it was by his own ability.[break][break]

Within a minute, the man passed by the healer and unsheathed(?) his hammer. The next instant, he was striking the farfetch’d to the sides as if they were mere pebbles. A simple strike from his weapon was seemingly sufficient to defeat them. Did that mage actually weaken them that much?[break][break]

As they were now defeated, only the biggest one remained. Manderville proceeded to bring the hammer to his side, putting both of his hands upon its Hilt and whispering a simple command. ”Dragon Hammer.”[break][break]

[break][break]

With his hammer overgrown by the power of a Warrior’s spirit, the man leapt forward, bringing down the hammer of justice upon the bird’s head, defeating it rapidly. As the hammer returned to normal proportions, only a giant leak remained. Manderville proceeded to grab it before looking back at the others. [break][break]

”Everything alright lads? It seemed like you were having issues with this horde.”
