Good lord, this place sure was filled. It seems like a lot of people were trying to get a quick date and find their match. But who would think that, among those individuals, a wanted man was hiding? Balder had decided to join the festivities, to get a change of pace. But of course, he couldn't show up as the regular man. No, he needed to be a new person.[break][break]

And thus, he adorned the blonde wig. Thankfully, with the traditions of Alola, the man had learned how to do relatively decent make up, so he was able to cover some facial traits that would give him away and became like a certain gym leader that had now vanished. With added blue contact lenses. And luckily for the man, no one seemed to recognize him.[break][break]

Well, everyone but Dawn, who found him due to some twist of fate and had helped him attend. A beer in hand, Balder took a sip before deciding to answer the man's interrogation. "It had to be done. I couldn't suffer Abbiati's hypocrisy any longer. I'd prefer being a martyr instead of a dumb hypocrite. And a man like me, not being in their sight? I'm already a threat."[break][break]

The now blond man took another sip of his beer. "Also, don't call me by my last name here. Good chances we might raise some suspicions. Feel free to call me... Hmmm... Well, why not Dusk." Says the man, slightly amused as he decided to tease his date by choosing a nickname that corresponds to him. "If nobody knows, you won't be in trouble. Your career as a coordinator will remain intact, I promise you. Anyways, enough about my "exploits", tell me about yourself. What became of you since that attack on the mutant ursaring?"

Fernando proceeded to voice his own version of the plan. Making sure he came back alive heh? Was he saying that as a councilman or a person that cared for an Avatar brother? It's hard to say in such circumstances. "Honestly, the idea of bringing more people with me is something that I had considered. I even invited people to join me at my gy- My previous gym, during the aftermaths of the battle..."[break][break]

Was going in alone a good idea? Definitely not. But as he stated previously, it was too dangerous for him to start recruiting openly. And currently? He had no allies. Still, as he kept listening to Fernando and mention he didn't want to push too far, and mention to not let Olivia sour his vision of the league, even though she can be a problem. This made Balder emit a soft chuckle.[break][break]

"For the few months I knew her, she did give me lots of headache so I get you there." Balder took a deep breath before sighing. "Still, I'm mad at myself for not noticing sooner how thirsty she was for power. How she wanted to control stuff. I should've noticed it sooner."[break][break]

Feeling anger well up inside him, Balder slammed his fist upon the ground, leaving a small crater upon the impact. His eyes went back to Fernando, filled with anger, but also sadness. "Do me a favor: Don't let her have her way. The fact that she already has a private military company to herself is already too much, now that I see it, but she'll most likely use my departure as an excuse to do something more. Which might possibly threaten people's freedom in some form. It's never going to be the same now."

Not long after Balder began to place forward murderous thoughts, the psychic pokemon decided to reply in kind. A psychic-induced headache huh... As the headache slowly intensified, making one of Balder's eye twitch faintly, a certain lion woke from its slumber in the gym. Through its mental link with his chosen trainer, Solgaleo felt the pressure that was being applied on Balder's mind.[break][break]

Deciding to use the psychic link, Solgaleo allowed his powers to run rampant and reach Balder, protecting his mind from the invading force and unleashing a threatening psychic roar at Whisper. As he felt Solgaleo's presence, the man calmed down and closed his eyes, cutting out this reckless plan that he had brought up.[break][break]

As the man opened his eyes once more, he looked more... serene. Peaceful. He dropped a gentle gaze upon Ruby and emitted a faint smile. "Now I understand what you meant when you said she protected you and can feel hostile intent. You've got a good ally with you. But you still need to discipline her a bit more. If she were to attack a random civilian for no reason, I don't think it'd be good."[break][break]

The Gym Leader thus looked towards the direct of the hospital. "This test also confirms that the man your pokemon assaulted was indeed planning on doing something bad to you. Stealing or backstabbing you possibly, I'm unsure, but I'll have to confirm this when I get there." The man then looked back towards Ruby. "Sorry for making you cry, but I'm pretty sure you understand why I said all this, right? You seem like an intelligent girl after all."

The previous Air Slash struck well, sending the Lombre reeling. The Yanma happily danced in the air as it saw its opponent fall on the ground due to the attack. Balder smiled, seeing his bug flying happily, but then the Hydro Pump surged in and stuck, sending the bug to collide with the roof of the building and slowly float down.[break][break]

The smile faded. "Buzz, now's not the time to sleep! We got work to do!" The dragonfly slowly started to vibrate its wings, avoiding a collision with the ground before it flew back to his master. While the move wasn't super effective, it had definitely taken the two of them by surprised and struck hard on the bug pokemon.[break][break]

"No more fooling around now, Buzz. Time to do your favorite more. Bug Buzz" The Yanma rose towards the ceiling once more and began vibrating its wings as quickly as possible, emitting a small noise that intensified within seconds, harming those that were too close to it. Luckily for Balder, his eardrums had been STEELed from this, so the Lombre would be the only one suffering actual damage.

The girl was slowly putting on a show herself. She had what it took for the entertainment branch, that's for sure. Hopefully she could keep that entertaining factor outside of battle though. But... She could do better without the insults. At Balder's age, it's normal to start wondering if you're already going bald, and Annie's comment sadly reminded him that, making him touch his hair reflexively.[break][break]

The girl decided to play it safe, using moves to increase her attack power. Smart... Except if the fight finishes before she gets a chance to do something, right? "Well then, let me show you what this Bald Butt can do, challenger. Sandy, make the earth tremble with your powers. Koga, show them why you inherited this name and bring down the smokescreen."[break][break]

As soon as he heard his order, the Crobat flew up high, releasing a black smoke from its mouth. The bat flew around the battlefield, spreading the haze so it covers every pokemons upon the field. As the creature finished setting up his move, the Hippowdon used the cover of the Black Mist to use Earthquake, shattering the ground underneath him and sending multiple tremors towards the Scizor and Weavile.[break][break]

Meteor Falls. A location that had many rumors and legends going on about it, about how it came to be and what caused the craters and so much more. Some said it was even the original birthplace of the dragon clan, but there was nothing to prove such theories. And currently, none of this mattered for Balder. All he wanted was a hiding place where he could rest up with his team, until they were fully rested up and ready to invade the other world.[break][break]

As the man reached a quiet location in the Meteor Falls, he and his Gallade were about to sit on the ground and rest. That was, until a human being came into existence in front of them. Before Balder could even see who it was, he and his current companion were in battle stance, ready to fight for their lives or blind the fellow and take him out[break][break]

The person that appeared before him, he knew of him by face and his status. Yet his name eluded the Alolan Man's mind. But it wasn't important right now. The councilman raised his hand, but suddenly dropped them as well. Not to attack, but simply to be casual? He stated he wasn't here for Balder, which was... a good thing? And then he asked if Balder was alright.[break][break]

"You'll excuse me but I got no reason to trust you right now, especially since you're a councilman, and the second one to find me too. For all I know, you might even be connected to Olivia and be aiming to get me back in some manner or form. So give me one good reason to not turn you blind right here and now, or beat the living shit out of you."
