"I...yes but, that's aside from the point!" Noelle whined. "The clothes too - don't...worry about that, buddy! Hah...." She didn't need him going through his security footage to learn her ways of smuggling. Reaching out to him, she snatched the tower of dishes from him, seeming to hold it with little to no effort - all in one hand too, mind you.

"I can help clean, see? And we can uhm...do...things?" Realizing how weird that sounded, she was quick to add in, "like tell each other stories, sing songs, do each other's hair...you can uh...tell me about your fossil collection and what you like best about each one?" She was pulling out all the stops now, if just to get him to say yes.

"It'll be fun?" 

Being in a tiny cart, so close to the man she wanted to marry was a bit...nerve wracking? there was so many things she wanted to say, but, surprisingly, noelle had quieted down considerably after they boarded the slowly lifting cart. instead, her vibrant green gaze was fixated on the night sky, as though enamored by it, with an unreadable expression. in all honesty, she was a bit tongue tied - and so, instead of sputtering out something stupid she decided to just enjoy the moment and night.

"we did," she affirmed, "that seems like a long time ago though, huh?" she hummed, a small, fond smile growing on her lips at the thought. they were such...dumb little kids. and yet, it was a memory she still held near and dear to her heart. the ferris wheel felt so much bigger back then - and just like today, she had to practically beg the boy to go on it with her. she also cried when they told her she was too short to go on one of the rides, and she, of course, made him carry all of the dumb little prizes they won.

how could she ever forget something like that?

she perked back up, blinking, her head tilting. "what did you remember?" she questioned curiously, briefly staring over at him. when he didn't answer, she huffed, puffing out her cheeks slightly. "eh?! don't do that, it's not fair," she complained with a whine, although, she didn't stop smiling as the typically stubborn man finally admitted that he enjoyed their night together. she wouldn't tease or taunt him about it as she typically would, not now at least, as the priestess merely nodded.

"i did too. oh! uhm...thank you for coming with me." her voice was sincere, filled with an unmistakable affection and warmth. she briefly looked over at his hand as he offered it to her, a slight tinge coming to her cheeks. aside from her smile growing a bit bigger though, the woman didn't say anything. instead, she outstretched her own, smaller hand, letting it rest atop of his own. almost hesitantly, as though afraid he'd abruptly pull away, she locked her fingers with his own. 'his hand...was it always this warm?'

it was silent for a few moments, until, almost shyly, she'd look back over at him. for a moment, noelle simply...stared at him with an unreadable expression that slowly shifted into one full of warmth. briefly, her hand squeezed his own.

"Mateo - you know, I..." she paused, as though wanting to say something more. but, what she wanted to say was clearly written on her face. her fondness for him - what she felt for him. she was positive he knew it, even without her having to explain it. and so, in a manner that almost mocked what he'd done earlier, she'd shake her head with a little smile. "heh, never mind."

"ah, i think the fireworks are starting!" like a kid, she leaned forward, peering almost intently at the dark sky. "look, look!"

Oblivious to the man's possible ulterior motives of trying to get rid of her, the pinkette was utterly ecstatic about the day they had ahead of them. Sure, it wasn't very romantic, and with how they both acted, probably about as far away from a date one could get. But, it worked for the both of them, and she was happy. Happy that she got to spend time with him, happy that he was here with her. Smiling at him as he uttered out his challenge, the girl giggled before offering out a challenging 'battle cry' herself, "don't worry, when you lose, I won't tell Chancelor that you throw like a drampa."

The night was a fun one, that was for sure. Between laughing whenever Mateo failed at a game, to stuffing her face with the various treats and goodies the fair offered, she was happy, content. Perhaps a bit sad that they likely wouldn't ever be allowed back into the fair after they left, but, she couldn't stop smiling. She'd won a goldeen that she named 'Kyle Junior', but, it unfortunately died when she brought it onto the roller coaster and the little bag went flying.

Twenty minutes of ugly sobbing later, she had a huge teddiursa plushy, courtesy to her date for winning it for her. Whether he got it because he wanted her to shut up, or because he genuinely cared...she didn't care! All she knew was that Mateo had won something for her. Which started the new era of that night of her begging Mateo to win her this and that. Each plushy she got, she affectionately named, including a rayquaza that she named 'Lil Teo'.

Skipping alongside the man as happy as could be, and not carrying a single thing, she blinked when he suddenly fell over. Crouching beside him and poking at his cheek several times, she giggled. "You had fun," she rolled her eyes, "so don't go around telling people I held you hostage or forced you to go!" She technically did but, details. "And-" She paused. Wait a second, didn't she win the majority of games?

She grabbed his cheeks in her fingers, if just to force him to look up at her. She bore a smile like smirk that could put a zoroark to shame. "and You owe me a ferris wheel ride, Mr. Martinez." 

she drew upwards to her height, stretching. "so, let's go! i'll drag you there if i have to - don't think i won't!" 

the moment the door opens, the dog trainer would find noelle collapsed by mateo's bed-side with his pillow hugged close to her, and she sobbing into it. "m-mateo-" her happy, relieved face quickly turned into one of dismay when she realized it was just kyle. her expression immediately sunk once more, "oh...it's just you kyle." she didn't meant to sound so disgruntled and disappointed to see him, but...she sighed loudly, idly rubbing her eyes. "i can't find bry or mateo and its...so lonely," she complained with another wail. the household was deathly silent, and she had neither bryony around to bother or lounge around, or mateo to trail after. chancelor was god knows where and morgan...who knew.

"where'd they go?" she felt like a dejected puppy.

the pinkette's eyes widen the moment he mentions mega stones, and everything abruptly began to make sense. "wait - no way. you're like, that lucas lane. like, the lucas lane! that's...so cool!" she didn't bother trying to reign in her kiddish like awe, fawning over the man as though he were some real life superhero. though she wasn't a hoenn native and most of its celebrities were unknown to her, mega evolution was all the rage pretty much...everywhere. she hadn't gotten the chance to witness the rare phenomena just yet, but, reading about it, it certainly was something. and now, she had the chance to meet the guy who made it all possible? amazing!

"you're so cool-" before she could continue to gush over the professor, the dragon priestess abruptly paused, perking up with a confused look, her large, doe-eyes blinking once, and then again. "these webs...they're all over the place." the air felt as though it were electrified. quite literally, she could see her hair beginning to grow frizzy, as though someone had rubbed a balloon against the silky strands. "do you hear that?" 

she strayed closer to him, before abruptly stopping. "this feels like a scene from one of those movies," she muttered, head tilting slightly, "like...it feels like we're being watched." 

his skeptical answer, at first, made the pinkette wince, her mouth opening to try and defend her chosen place. yes, the fair could be a bit dingy and cheap with their prizes, but, it was nice. a great place for people on dates to go, right? before she could speak though, she was suddenly grabbed, and was pretty much being dragged behind the excited man.

once there, she couldn't help but smile at how...excited he seemed. he really was like a little kid, and...well, that was definitely one of the things she adored about him. imagine, a dragon master and elite four member acting giddy over some dingy rides and games - it was adorable. staring at him in an almost enamored fashion, she nearly missed what he said, until the words replayed in her mind. "wait wait - mateo this a date," the pinkette almost seemed to whine. this wasn't just a dumb night out with kyle - she was not throwing up while in this outfit. still, that small, childish and tomboyish side of hers couldn't help but rear her head. a small part of her wanted to continue to scold him in hopes that they could do something a bit more romantic like, the ferris wheel or something.

instead, she soon sighed, "i bet i can hold out longer than you." her lips pulled into an almost challenging grin. "hey, hey! let's place a bet, okay? if i win more games than you, you owe me a ferris wheel ride, okay? at night." what could be more romantic than that? cooped up close together, forced to stare into one another's eyes underneath the stars...it was like something out of a movie!

she couldn't deny the feeling of kiddish excitement beginning to well up inside of her. was it because she was around him, or because of the fair itself though? "e-eh? the mirror thing? but...you know i get lost really easily," she muttered under her breath sheepishly, not really wanting to admit to the fact that her sense of direction was, still, terrible. but, if she did get lost, he'd come and find her, right? like a prince in shining armor, he'd wipe away her tears and-

'i've been watching too many of those dumb, cheap romance movies,' that still didn't stop a girl from dreaming though.

holding on firmly to his hand to make sure he didn't go running off without her, she hummed, wondering what it was she wanted to do first. "let's play some games!" she flashed him another smile, lightly tugging on his hand to head towards the colorful booths set up all over the place. "there's that one game where you have to throw the ball at the glass bottles right there," she said, pausing before continuing in a much quieter voice, "i wonder if you get bonus points for breaking the bottle though?"

of course, leave it to the dragon clan to try and break things wherever they went. even the carnival wasn't safe.

There was the splashing of something nearby a body of water sparkled beautifully in the pale sunlight. On the water's edge, a quilfish uselessly flopped about, having somehow stranded itself. Thankfully, the pinektte was smart enough not to idly grab and push the fish back into the water, given it was covered in poisonous barbs. And so, she instead grabbed a stick, gently jabbing and prodding at the creature until, with a wet, loud plop, it slipped back into the water. "Weird little guy," she hummed to herself, before turning away and continuing onward. 

Abruptly, a pink outline lifted the garchomp in the air, who snarled in slight surprise. "A psychic attack, but, where from...?" Eyes narrowed, the girl looked about, until she grew aware of the quiet flap of wings and glimmer of lavender hidden in the shadows; a venomoth. "Freya - there!" Thrown harshly into a tree by the attack, it didn't faze the dragon much, who shook off the attack as though it were nothing. Back on her feet, her body sunk into the ground in a sudden dig. Hidden underneath the earth and surfing through it like it were made of water, the garchomp resurfaced right beneath the bug type, her large, rough body smacking into it. Before the venomoth could flutter away or be sent flying by the force of the slam though, fangs cloaked in fire harshly bit down onto its wing in a devastating fire fang. Shaking her head like a dog, she eventually let go, spitting the defeated bug onto the ground with a disgruntled huff. Giving her dragon a smile and nod, the girl tossed yet another sports ball to the bug type. 

the party was done and over with, and people were heading home. well, except for her.

tailing after lucas like a lost child, she had no qualms on invading his personal space to tug on his sleeve. "lucaaasss," she whined over and over, "can i spend the night? i already packed pjs and fluffy slippers and...and snacks," she continued to whine. "luuccccaasss," she whined even louder. why didn't she want to go home? who knew. 

paling slightly with an almost sheepish look as he scolded her, the woman rubbed the back of her neck, letting out a little, dusty, 'haha...' as she did so. "okay, okay. thanks, mom," though the pinkette feigned annoyance, there was a clearly grateful look in her eyes. "you're never gonna find a girlfriend or even a fiancee if you act like that." she, in turn, scolded him with a huff. he was so...rough around the edges! not soft at all - not like her dear husband- er...soon to be husband, mateo.

she paused for a moment, staring down at the pokeball in her hands before hugging it to her chest. "....my garchomp's gonna be sooo much better than yours. did you see how adorable she was?!" she nearly squealed, and quite childishly at that. she loved kane, she truly did, but...there was no way he'd be better than hers. sure, sure, hers was...a bit rough around the edges, but, adam believed in her. and she believed in herself. she'd make this gabite become not only her friend, but, a strong, true dragon at that.

in the distance, two pokemon lounged about, but similar to adam, she didn't pay much mind to them, too intent on staring up at the pale haired man.

There was the distinct noise of something buzzing by her ear; it was slightly annoying. August had long since returned to his pokeball, and afterwards, she had promptly returned Odessa to allow them both a chance to rest and regain strength. By her side her garchomp wandered, the scar-covered grouch intent on leading the way to...arceus knows where. Maybe it scented a good, strong pokemon nearby? Not really paying attention to where she placed her feet, the buzzing noise abruptly stopped with a singe of fire and teeth smashing together; a fire fang. Before her, Freya turned, spitting out the burnt combee before her feet with a disgruntled look, like a cat presenting her prey. Noelle paused, mouth opening and closing several times as she tried to find what words to say. "...Thank you?" The pinkette finally uttered out as she felt the dragon's sharp glare lingering on her sports ball. She must've been trying to help her with the contest but this...was a bit cruel - if not sudden. Either way, the dragon priestess tossed the pokeball at the combee before she kept it moving. 

In the wind, the pinkette heard the soft cry of a startled pokemon. Drifting by, a cottonee flailed its leafy arms, trying to stop itself from drifting higher and higher in the harsh breeze that was likely whipped up from Odessa landing. "Oh, sorry little buddy!" The girl called out, "Odessa!" The dragonair, feeling her trainer's emotions quite strongly, reached her serpentine-like tail out, winding the tiny pokemon in it and away from the dangerously strong winds. Nestled within the gentle grasp of the experienced pokemon, the wild 'mon let out a soft sigh of relief. Reaching over, Noelle carefully took the fragile grass type from her dragon's grasp, setting it onto the lower branch of a tree.

"Be more careful next time, alright?" She told in a gentle chide, "wait until you're a bit bigger to ride the winds like that!" She grinned, offering the pokemon a wink before turning to continue her little adventure.
