walking about, the girl nearly stepped on the toxic spikes that littered the ground, had her gyarados not suddenly slammed its tail in front of her to stop her from walking. from the bushes, a skorupi appeared, chattering about; likely angry no one had fallen for its prank. however, a stare of intimidation from the gyarados made its noises pause. until, abruptly, it swung forward with a night slash. growling softly in pain from the ambush, an angry roar screamed from the parted jaws of venus. her tail swept forward in an aqua tail that sent the tiny pokemon flying. "venus that's...a bit overdoing it," the pinkette tried to calm down her raging sea serpent. the poor skorupi had smacked harshly against one of the trees, and was knocked out on contact. "i guess this counts as a victory though?" she hummed, and tossed forth a single sports ball to the purple scorpion.

Continuing to wander, a tree nearby shook as a meinfoo stood there, pounding against it with its palms, likely training. The fighting type whirled to stare at the trainer and dragon, a hand and leg raised in challenging position. however, the trainer shook her head, giving the wild pokemon an easygoing smile. "Sorry little buddy, I'm not here to fight you." The fighting type huffed, before otherwise ignoring the duo and going back to its training. An odd answer for a dragon master, but, an answer nonetheless. Smiling still, she beckoned to Odessa to keep on following her. 

painfully oblivious to his annoyance, when some of the dull lights flickered on, her whole face seemed to brighten up. "magic," she gasped in amusement, but, there's a distinct tone of relief in her voice. after giving the long hall a look of distaste, she decided to take the first few steps forward to lead the way. "what if there's some sort of super rare, or super vicious, pokemon lingering about in here?" surprisingly, she didn't seem terrified of that idea. in fact, there was a rather excited glimmer in her eyes - weird girl. but, it was far more interesting to think about than the usual mad voltorb or magnemite, right?

"do you think that maybe-" a small 'eep' abruptly came from her as she sprang several feet in the air. thankfully, she relaxed when she realized it wasn't some made-up monster of her mind coming to life, but, just a very sticky, very big cobweb. "gross," she huffed, "watch your step! they're everywhere," she warned him as she picked off the sticky silky strands that clung to her hair.

unsure of how much further they needed to go before coming across any of their adversaries, the talkative dragon master spoke up once more, "so who are you? like, what d'ya do?" he...seemed really familiar.

Oh, he was so...polite? Honestly, she didn't expect it. But, it was a nice touch!

She followed behind him, letting out a little 'mhm' of agreement as she did so. "Oh, I have a Garchomp!" She excitedly exclaimed, the thought of being able to see another adorable little dragon-type made a wide smile come to her lips. "And a few other dragon-types, they're not good conductors, but, at least resist it!" She clasped her hands together, before freezing up as the door creaked open. "It looks uh...pretty dark and creepy down there....as in like, really easy to get lost - y'get what I mean?"

She paused, abruptly beginning to gently push the man forward, "you first, bud!"

while the party itself was pretty boring, the accommodations were nice. the fine wine and....rock-shaped snacks were good. the game of finding which rock-shaped dessert was a real rock though wasn't. she swore she must've chipped a tooth or something...

either way, the party had a whooping total of three people, which was...a step up? she honestly didn't even expect this many people to show up. but, it was nice that lucas had more friends than she thought. having downed way more alcohol than she cared to admit, it was very likely she'd end up staying the night, aka crashing.

wandering about to see what sort of debauchery she could stir up while she was conscious, she faintly spotted fishel. giggling as her halfhearted attempt to sneak up on him was ruined, she practically fell into him in some sort of hug. "i caught you!" she agreed with a giggle. "i'unno where lucas went. he yelled at me when i tried to follow him," she whined out, "sssooo i'm here with you instead! ssooo hi!" affectionate and needy, she nuzzled into him a little. "hug me?"

faintly, she thought she heard crying but...maybe it was the booze talking.

She didn't want to stare at the body - it made her feel sicker each time she did - but, she couldn't help but want to stare at it. Perhaps it was in pity of the unfortunate soul, or maybe it was cruel curiosity in wanting to look over the way his arms and legs bent and twisted; it was gross. Sickening, even. She missed what Kyle had said at first, his words nothing but background noise. It was the gentle touch of her dragonair's head resting on her shoulder that brought her back. With a jolt, she stared back at the man, giving a shaky smile. "Huh? Oh...uh..let's go home." she said, a bit softer than usual. she was glad that there were people like kyle who could handle jobs like this; personally, she was disgusted, a bit frightened.

unconsciously, she reached out, abruptly holding onto kyle's hand for god knows what reason. she hadn't even noticed she'd done it. maybe she was afraid that, with her own clumsiness, she'd slip and fall to her death, or vice versa, but, her hand held on rather tightly to his own. "yea, let's go home." she repeated again, a bit more firmly, leading their way in the descent down the mountain.

Searching for more pokemon, the girl began to look around the area, hoping that the shiny pink bug may have brought upon some luck in the surrounding area. Looking past a few bushes, light shined down onto a sleeping chikorita, who yawned loudly, staring up rather irritably at the trainer, who sheepishly smiled. "Oh, sorry!" Quickly, she left the wild pokemon alone, and otherwise continued her search. 

There was a slight, tingly feeling, as though something was crawling on her. Automatically, the pinektte looked up with a little bristle, expecting to see the salivating jaws of aother pokemon, but, there was nothing. It was then, from the corner of her eyes, did she see the long, stilt like legs of the green spider creeping from out of her shadow in a very eerie motion. She jumped, letting out a yelp as her arms flailed.

"Get it away - get it away!" She practically bawled to her pokemon. Imagie, a woman who dealt with fire-breathing dragons on a daily basis terrified of 'creepy crawlies'. August looked at her with a 'really' sort of expression, but, Venus was more than ready to protect her trainer. Protective and loving, a loud bellow echoed from the gyarados' parted maw. A massive eruption of fire, more than a bit of an overkill, spat from out her gaped jaws; fire blast. The poor spinark never stood a chance. The ground singed black ad the grass was gone in the instant the powerful attack met its target, and Noelle almost felt bad for frying the pokemon to a crisp but...it deserved it. The hell was up with spider pokemon and creeping up on others?

She huffed, rubbing her arms for a second in an effort to calm her nerves before tossing a sports ball at the singed creature.

"Ahuh!" Noelle grinned, deciding not to tease the dragon master any further about his...questioning choice of capturing the psyduck. If anything though, she thought it was cute! A big, strong guy having a soft spot for the dumb, little yellow duck! 'He's so adorable,' the girl internally gushed, completely ignoring, possibly on purpose, his warning.

The moment she witnessed him tap a pokeball to the flailing red fish's head and hand it to her, the pinkette nearly squealed. "Oh...oh! thank you, thank you!" She took it, giving the man a vibrant, incredibly happy smile as she held it close to her chest. "I'll make it into the strongest - and cutest - magikarp yet!" She promised him. She would've likely hugged him, had he not kept on walking.

Eagerly following on after him, his question was met with a little hum. "Not really. This is sorta like a vacation?" She hummed, musing to herself aloud. "But, I guess I shouldn't slack on my duties. Even if there isn't a dragon den here, there's still plenty of things I can do. Secret stuff - stuff I can't share with you until we get married." She gave him a little wink. "But you-!" She abruptly poked the man in the back a few times, "you need to practice being...y'know, a leader. Not just going off to scream in the mountains by yourself. One day, you're gonna be leading us. Me, Chance, Bry - all of us." She didn't...mean to start scolding him, but, this was important.

From the corner of her eye, she saw the flutter of wings; a chatot. It nosily cawed above them, mimicking her scolding tone in a rather annoying manner. Argos grumbled in irritation, huffing at the flying type. A single shot of ice beam from her blastoise's canons brought it down. However, with its wings frozen, the bird began to dramatically plummet. As to help it not get seriously injured (or die) on impact, she tossed a pokeball on it with a little surprised yelp. The bird was sucked in side, and the sphere fell to the ground with a thud; it was saved.

Taking a brief break to show her gyarados some affection, she failed to notice the feeling of being watched until the sound of something charging got her attention. "Do...you hear that?" She asked her pokemon, both the fire and water types merely tilting their heads. It was when an almost angry 'bzztt' caught her ears did she finally look down and see a small, very...rectangular looking bug that stared intently up at her. "Oh...uh...hey little gu-" Before she could even speak, the thing lunged at her. The vicious, angry little caterpillar hit her smacked dab in the forehead, and it...surprisingly hurt. Eyes briefly rolling to the back of her had as she fell back onto the ground, she heard the outraged roar of her gyarados.

Its body wrangled about, nearly knocking down several trees as the large pokemon slammed her tail down onto the charjabug with another aqua tail, followed by an inferno from august. it seemed even as grumpy and rude as he was, he did care about his trainer not getting hurt. assaulted by two powerful attacks, the smaller pokemon stood no chance as it went rolling and limp, defeated at that instant. it took a moment of grumbling and complaining from noelle before she decided to, finally, tap a pokeball to its head, sucking it inside. "violent little bug..."

As the duo forged onward, the sight of something extremely...bright caught her eye. Extremely...pink. She squinted, nearing the creature, and seeing the large, pink bug that flexed to itself. It was...a sight? As a fellow pinkette, she fell in love with the heracross at first sight but...god, that was a lot of pink to love. She could see her own dragonair looking a bit disgruntled herself, glancing away with a small grunt.

"Hey, buddy!" Without fear, she approached the fighting bug, who stared at her for a moment before flexing, as though showing off its muscles. Smiling, Noelle quickly joined in the bout of flexing, giggling up a fit as she and the heracross struck many, questionable, poses and flexes. "You seem really strong!" Flex. "I mean, look at those muscles!" Pose. "And we're both pink!" The wings of the pokemon gave a flutter of acknowledgement, and perhaps happiness.

She could hear an annoyed grunt come from her dragonair, who continued to linger nearby, staring at the two from the distance. "I think I might have a worthy challenger for you though!" With a flash of a pokeball, the towering form of her drapion appeared. He stared down the heracross with a fearsome look. No words were exchanged between the two pokemon before their hands were locked in some...really weird sort of arm wrestling that seemed to go on forever. Until, finally, with a noise that seemed to echo around the forest, the heracross was beaten, its hand slammed to the ground.

The poison and dark type huffed, his tail slamming about in some sort of pride. The heracross soon rose, eyes shinning as it stared at the girl. "Wanna come along? If we train together, I'm sure you'll be the strongest!" She gave a, very dramatic, flex...if just to prove her point. With an eager nod, the heracross tapped its fist against the outstretched pokeball, and was promptly sucked inside of it. 

Abruptly, a shimmer of scale dust and embers fell right before the pinkette, who immediately stepped back. Before them, a volcarno appeared in all of its simmering glory - now this....this was a find! Smiling at August, she abruptly noticed that the typhlosion seemed a bit winded. "Take it easy, August. Venus, let's go!" She called out with a sudden pop of a pokeball. Before her, a massive serpentine like creature towered; her gyarados. Once a frail magikarp, the water type had grown, flourishing in Noelle's overabundance of love for the cute, dumb creature. If anything, it was one of the more better tempered of its kind, to perhaps even affectionate with people even other than her trainer.

Venus' head dipped down to her trainer, nestling against the girl's back before facing her fiery advisory. A sudden gale of wind harshly blew against the gyarados' face in a gust, but, Venus wasn't fazed any. "Aqua tail!" The command was followed, as the powerful sweep on its tail cloaked in water sent the flying bug...well, flying. The attack was followed by a throw of a sports ball.

"Good job!" August himself only let out a little scoff - was he jealous?
