there was a moment of tense silence, but, as the steam finally cleared away, the sight of the blue tortoise made her heart soar. she had...won? she'd won! she'd actually managed to do it! "argos! we did it!" she raced up to the turtle, who in turn, picked her up and whirled the girl around with a pleased expression. "thank you morgan - and you too, shiv! now hold still shiv, let me get peach to patch you up!"

better late than never

Something soon caught her eyes - something really pretty. Looking down, her eyes widened at the sight of odd colored turtwig that stood before her, on edge and ready to battle, likely due to its shining coloring. It was certainly a fighter, there was no denying that. And there was certainly no way she could pass up such an opportunity!

"Uh, uhm!" She fumbled about for a pokeball in a wild flurry of her hands. Thankfully, she managed to choose the right one, as with a flash of brilliant light, August made his appearance. The bad-tempered typhlosion glowered down at the turtwig, smoke emitting from his nostrils. A bright blaze of flames shot from out of the fire types mouth.

"H-huh, august, wait, wait, i didn't order for you to-!" she was frazzled as the inferno hit the turtwig head on. though it was super effective, it didn't seem as though the grass type took any critical damage, as its shell seemed to almost glaze over...amazing! was this its ability? standing tall, a mighty swirl of leaves blew from out of its mouth in a leaf storm. unfortunately, met head on with an even hotter temperature inferno, the storm of leaves quickly burned to a crisp, and the the grass type was met with the attack head on. when the smoke cleared, the turtwig lie there, defeated.

"Geez august, you could've dialed it back a little," noelle huffed, and the typhlosion only snorted before forcibly returning himself. gosh, he had such a bad attitude...but, alas, they were the victor! with a flicker of her hand, the cameo-coated ball whizzed through the air, tapping the turtwig on the forehead and absorbing it inside of it.

Tears spilled from the chansey's eyes as she waited in front of the door for her trainer to return. Why had she left her here with all of these scary other pokemon? Was she abandoning her? Was this the end of the line for her? Would she ever come pick her back up? With a heavy sniffle, even more tears began to pour from the creatures eyes. The daycare attendant tried to tend to the normal type and make her relax, but, that only resulted in a frightened egg bomb to the face and even more wailing. It was literally the equivalent to a kid being left behind for the first time. It didn't help that the extremely sensitive, but usually sweethearted, pokemon was incredibly clingy.

Holding one of her precious eggs close to her chest as she sniffled and sobbed, Peach continued to stand in front of the door, perking up at the slightest noise from the other side in hopes that it was her trainer coming to rescue her.

Unable to see the battle, noelle squinted. this...probably wasn't the best course of action, was it? but, she could make this work! the only thing was, blaziken was way faster than her giant, heavy turtle...which meant..

"hold on to him with bite if you hit! then wham em' with a hydro pump!" having no idea whether or not the action would work, she could only call out actions. meanwhile, the moment his shell came in contact with the blaziken, argos' head snapped from out of its protective 'armor'. snapping its head forward, it would try to latch onto the quicker fire/fighting type in attempt to hold it down if just so those canons could point at it and release another hydro pump its way.

"b-but that's how he does it!" a fit of drunken laughter erupted from the pinkette as well, her tongue sticking out all the while. it abruptly stops as the other woman agrees to her promise, and a small smile spreads across the girl's lips. head leaning fully on bryony's shoulders and eyes beginning to narrow into slumber, she gave a slow nod, "mmhh good...i don't want him to be alone...and sad...and die alone. he's....a nice guy...mmh..." She began to trail off. Before long, the pinkette had fallen asleep completely from seemingly out of nowhere. seemed the alcohol really screwed with her.

the two powerful blasts met each other as a torrent of water shot out from its twin canons. a thick steam settled over the field as the heat and cold met one another. "oh, cover! use it to your advantage - use rapid spin!" the tortoise, hidden by the thick mist, retracted into his shell. there was the faint sound of something spinning as his heavy form rocketed forward, aiming to slam into the fiery chicken.
